[19:20:22] <.Bynw> *the servants are quiet but going on with their duties, wearing a black armband for mourning the death of their Lord
[19:22:02] * +Seth turns to the only oyher person in the hall this early, Adrian Sprax
[19:22:56] <+Seth> "I think it's best to move quickly to secure what wealth we can from Antillies estates, Adrian."
[19:23:18] <.Bynw> *Adrain is enjoying a drink with his Lord* "Any thoughs on who shall lead our troops if we need them?" *he nods at Seth's comment*
[19:24:19] <+Seth> "I'm not sure Adrian. Antillies was easily controlled, it's a shame to lose him."
[19:25:31] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "It doesn't have to be one of the royals. It can be anyone. Perhaps one of the palace guards?"
[19:27:49] <+Seth> "But Antillies had the special quality of being exceptional at his job and easily manipulated. A better general will be impossible to find. This is going to make finding a merchant to back the trade road impossible. It seems to be only a matter of time before the curse hits me. I have half a mind to take what I can and leave. Maybe I can work for you." ::he chuckles::

[19:31:14] <+Seth> "Our army is in anarcy and no one will support us now. It's a hard blow to us. I'm wondering if the perpitrator of this will come forward and attack us straight on now. Things maybe too far gone. We need to lure our enemies out or they must make a mistake. I swear if the bishop gives the impression he is trying to profit from this I may feed him to the pigs personally just on the chance it might be him."

[19:35:38] <+Seth> ::Sips and smiles over his rim:: "At this rate we'll be dead soon anyways Lord Kevin."
[19:35:58] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "It is never too early for a fine wine."
[19:37:49] <+Seth> ::Raises his goblet in salute to Adrian::
[19:38:01] <.Bynw> *Adrian again speaking to Seth* "I don't think any of your contemporaries have the ability to be a General. You are going to have to look for one else where."
[19:38:09] * +Kevin shakes his head, and raises his glass to both of them
[19:39:21] * +Charissa walks into the room. Good morning everyone.
[19:40:04] <.Bynw> *Adrian bows at the neck but doesnt get up* "Your Majesty"
[19:40:22] <+Seth> "Easier said than done Adrian. Marching back and forth across this toliet of a land and taking on the responsibility of being a general with an unknown curse cutting us down like wheat in the field is a strong argument for anyone to stay away."
[19:41:10] <+Charissa> "Seth, Kevin, good to see you here.  As soon as the others get here, I have something to share with you all."
[19:41:12] <+Seth> "I doubt it will be your Majesty, but I salute your misplaced optimissium."
[19:43:17] * +Jack waunders in. "I miss breakfast?"
[19:43:37] <+Kevin> "This orange juice is not all that you make it seem, Jack."
[19:44:04] <+Jack> "Well, I like it.  To each their own, I guess."
[19:44:34] <+Seth> ::Raises an eyebrow at Kevin and Jack:: "Maybe it's missing some rum..." ::chuckles::
[19:45:21] * +Coch enters the Great Hall wiping the sleep from his eyes as he greets everyone "Good morning"
[19:45:54] <+Jack> "Hmmm . . . rum and orange juice doesn't sound that bad, really.  Bit strong for breakfast, maybe, but I might try it before bed."
[19:46:24] <+Jack> "Hello, Lord Coch."
[19:46:40] * +Coch wanders over the the table, pulls up a chair, and sits down
[19:47:13] <+Seth> ::Looks to Queen Charissa to begin::

[19:47:40] <+Jack> "You got it."
[19:48:06] <+Charissa> "Jack, Coch.  Now that you are all here, I think I should tell you what I Saw when I did the death reading on Antilles."

[19:49:01] * +Coch gives the Queen his full attention
[19:49:30] <+Charissa> "He sent Captain Patrick to the Imperial Capital!  We need to get him back here soon!"
[19:50:59] <+Jack> "We could send a messenger."
[19:51:41] <+Charissa> "aye.  hopefully with changing horses along the way, he should be able to bring him back here within a day.  We can ostensibly say it is for the funeral."
[19:53:06] <+Seth> "Why the hurry your Majesty? Is this Captian Patrick next in line for general of our armies?"
[19:53:13] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "If I may your Majesty ... but a day's time will not be sufficient for a trip to the Imperial Capital in Southwind"
[19:53:32] <+Charissa> "no, but I do NOT want him to complete his mission on Antilles' behalf!" 
[19:53:41] <+Charissa> "I realize that, but I don't think he's been gone that long."
[19:53:48] <+Coch> "What message did Antilles want Capt. Patrick to deliver?"
[19:54:02] <+Jack> "Ummm . . . what was his mission at the Imperial Capital?"
[19:54:55] <+Charissa> "that I am not absolutely sure of, but I think it is to seek financial aid from the Adanac Empire, in return for our being subordinate to them."
[19:55:10] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "Come to think of it your Majesty. I haven't seen the captain in the palace for over a month"
[19:55:48] <+Charissa> "then we have a major problem!  DAMN Antilles!  Damn him to hell for being such a maverick!"
[19:55:56] <+Kevin> "A month!"
[19:56:05] <+Coch> "Did anyone else know of this offer?"
[19:56:10] <+Seth> ::he pales a bit at the mention of the empire and quickly covers it with a drink from his mug::
[19:56:52] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "That is enough time to get there using the most logical route of overland, by sea and a few portals"
[19:57:14] <+Jack> "Yeah, it is."
[19:58:02] <+Jack> "I guess we need to assume Patrick is currently promising our loyalty to the Adan Empire in return for money, then."
[19:58:15] <+Charissa> "I would assume so."
[19:59:08] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "And on the behalf of one of it's lords. Thus making it a legal agreement."
[19:59:31] <+Kevin> "This is horrible!"
[19:59:36] <+Charissa> "aye."::says Charissa deafetedly::
[19:59:40] <+Seth> "One of it's dead lords, Adrian."
[20:00:38] <+Seth> ::Looks to Charissa:: "He did not have the royal sanction, seal, or leave."
[20:00:54] <+Charissa> "no he did not."
[20:00:54] <+Coch> "This looks very bad, Antilles extends an offer to the Empire and then he turns up dead"
[20:01:38] <+Charissa> "yes it does Coch.  But, at least in that matter, we can subject ourselves to a truth reading and be found innocent."
[20:01:51] <+Coch> "True"
[20:01:52] <+Seth> "I'm afraid all of this is academic at the moment."
[20:02:18] <+Charissa> "How so?"
[20:03:18] <+Seth> "We are all of us going to die if we do not get to whoever is responsible for this curse. I'd say that makes it a priority. Next, we are near defensless with out a general to lead the army. It's in chaos."
[20:04:00] <+Charissa> "aye.  We need Captain Patrick back via portal to take charge of the army."
[20:04:19] <+Coch> "I have a question.  Has the curse affected anyone without royal blood?"
[20:04:57] <+Charissa> "I honestly do not know."
[20:06:03] <+Coch> "We should have a servant look into that"
[20:06:47] <+Seth> "I don't think that is a factor. Antillies was the logical target to hit next. You could be right though your Majesty."
[20:07:11] <+Jack> "Even if not, the best we could be sure of is 'not yet'."
[20:07:51] <+Kevin> "In my mind, the next logical target would be the queen. Shall we keep a lookout for her falling ill?"
[20:08:28] <+Charissa> "I have taken some protective measures.  But, vigilance is always a good thing."
[20:08:40] <+Coch> "Could it be something as simple as being in this castle?"
[20:09:04] <+Jack> "You suggesting we move, Coch?"
[20:09:38] <+Jack> "Rent rooms down at the ravern or something like that?"
[20:09:45] <+Jack> *tavern
[20:12:15] <+Coch> "Maybe not the tavern but somewhere else, it seems other than being Lords or family of the Lords the only one constant has been they all resided here"
[20:14:46] <.Bynw> *Adrian* "It's cool here. And I hate to leave the cool confines of this palace, but I have other duties to attend to before midday hits"
[20:15:07] <+Seth> "The leader of the Druids came to me on the road to the tavern and warned me that we where in danger the night before Antillies fell ill. Finding him is our best bet right now, everything else is just a guess."
[20:15:26] <+Charissa> "agreed, Seth."
[20:16:06] <+Seth> ::Nods to Adrian:: "Goodday Lord Marshal. I will meet you at the Tavern tonight if duty permits."
[20:16:28] <.Bynw> *Adrian nods at Seth and departs from the great hall*
[20:17:22] <+Jack> "Well, I'm up for going druid hunting."
[20:17:48] <+Seth> "Where do we start?"
[20:18:00] <+Charissa> "keep me advised.  In the meantime, I shall try to see if I can locate any lingering majicks in the palace."
[20:18:59] <+Kevin> "Would you need my help in the finding of druids
[20:19:09] <+Kevin> I am not that adept at that sort of thing.
[20:19:47] <+Kevin> "
[20:20:47] <+Kevin> "But I might be some help."
[20:21:04] <+Seth> "I don't think anyone but another druid would be Lord Kevin."
[20:21:41] <+Seth> "I'd say it's best to start by asking around for a meeting place of the local Druids"
[20:22:18] <+Seth> ::Stands up and puts his goblet on the table::
[20:23:07] <+Seth> "Anyone else comming?"
[20:23:47] <+Coch> "Let me get my gear and I will go along"
[20:24:41] * +Coch Coch quickly exits the Great Hall heading towards his room
[20:24:58] * +Kevin stands up, gets his gear, and arrives back
[20:25:06] <+Kevin> "I am ready."
[20:25:35] * +Coch returns loaded with gear, "Ready to go"
[20:26:16] <+Seth> ::smirks:: "Best place to start would be the tavern. Anyone have a better idea?"

[20:27:58] <+Coch> ::Smiling:: "You just want a bottle to go and a kiss from that waitress"
[20:29:01] <+Jack> "Sounds like a plab to me."

[20:30:14] <+Seth> ::grins at Coch and then Jack. Then grabs his staff and departs for the local Tavern::

[20:38:13] <.Bynw> *the day is nice ... hot and humid but not raining
[20:39:53] <+Seth> ::Walks along at a slower pace, leaning on his staff a bit as he goes::
[20:40:07] <.Bynw> *the tavern crowed is only gathered to keep out of the midday heat and to have a drink or two ... and all seem to welcome the arrival of Lord Seth
[20:41:13] <+Seth> ::Waves and greets several of the patrons, barkeep, and barmaids::
[20:42:06] * +Jack looks around for druids.
[20:42:16] <+Seth> ::out of his norm, he leans on the bar to get the barkeeps attention and waits paitently until he has time to serve him::

  [20:55:44] <+Seth> ::smiles at the barkeep:: "That they do. I'm sure they know we are looking for them. Knowing them, they want us to track out into the damn swamp."

  [20:56:32] <+Seth> "Anyo f Adrian's friends about that can take us out into the swamp?"
  [21:02:00] <.Bynw> *the barkeep looks around* "Adrian and his friends keep out of the heat ..."
  [21:03:51] <+Seth> ::Nods to the barkeep and picks up his drink:: "Thanks, much appreciated." ::leaves a tip that could by several bottles of wine itself, then turns to look over the alocoves and corner of the Tavern::
  [21:04:45] <+Seth> ::Begins searching for any figures standing or sitting in shadow::
  [21:06:55] <+Seth> "Kevin, you seem to be the type that knows a few things about the shadows, you see anyone like that around?"
  [21:07:55] <+Kevin> "Haven't looked hard, half a moment..."
  [21:08:17] * +Kevin looks around the room inconspicuously for anyone in the shadows

  [21:18:11] <+Seth> ::looks to where Kevin indicates:: "I think that is the type." ::grabs his wine and slowly walks over to the table the man is sitting at:: "Mind if I take a seat?"

  [21:24:47] <+Seth> ::shows just a hint of a smile to the man:: "I can see your eating, sorry to interupt." ::takes a seat and indicates for the others to do the same::

  [21:25:55] <.Bynw> *the man looks around as everyone takes a seat* "So what do I owe to gain such an influx of Lords of Warp Wood?"
  [21:27:56] <+Seth> ::extends his hand:: "Seth Veneficus and today is a day of good fortune for you."
  [21:28:24] * +Coch remains standing with his back to the bar and his attention on Seth and the druid
