[19:20:58] * +Seth comes walking hastily into the grand hall, his shirt untucked, and even with his staff helping he seems to sway a bit. His whole appearance is of just waking from bed
[19:21:29] * +Coch turns to Father Pele and asks "Father what do you think in the most important aspect of revitalizing Warp Wood?"
[19:22:12] * +Seth anyone standing within a foot or two can smell the acrid smell of wine and pipe smoke about him
[19:23:49] * +Coch momentarily turns and says" Hello Lord Seth, I hope your travels went well?"
[19:24:32] <.Bynw> *Father Pele* "I would say the return of morals." *he says looking at Seth*
[19:25:18] <+Seth> ::Squints at Coch then at Pele::
[19:26:26] <+Seth> ::burps as he eyes Pele:: "Whose Morality would that be, Father?"
[19:27:17] <.Bynw> *Father Pele* "The Lord's of course" *he says picking up a bible from the table before him*
[19:28:55] <.Bynw> *Father Pele* "It appears that her Majesty is not returning as soon as she should. I shall take my leave now. If your lords require me for anything I will be in the Chapel."
[19:29:11] <+Seth> ::Chuckles and makes a screeching sound like a parrot:: "Would you like some crackers before you leave Father?"
[19:29:29] <+Coch> "Have a good night Father Pele"
[19:29:58] <+Seth> ::Turns his back on Father Pele and dismisses any answer to the rhetorical question::
[19:30:18] <+Jack> "We have crackers?"
[19:31:14] <+Seth> ::Squints at Jack for a moment and then just shakes his head::
[19:31:34] * +Jack shrugs
[19:31:36] <+Seth> "Did I miss the meeting with the Master Druid?"
[19:31:57] <+Jack> "I'm afraid you did."
[19:32:10] <.Bynw> *Father Pele exits the chamber*
[19:32:19] <+Coch> "Chadwick seemed a bit upset that you  weren't here"
[19:33:24] <+Seth> "Damn. A deffinite social stub. This will errode our position. I'll have to make the trip to see him."
[19:34:39] <+Seth> ::Grabs the front of his shirt and uses it to fan himself:: "Damn this heat. It's like some level of Hades in this toliet of a land."
[19:36:06] <+Coch> "Did your accomplish anything on your trip Seth?"
[19:39:14] <+Seth> "Well the merchants widow Artemedies on the northern boarder can dance a wicked step on the common floor and...." ::clears his throat:: "But it seems that the local merchants believe we are destined to be over thrown. Many of them are less then hospitiable to making major financial loans to us."
[19:40:15] <+Seth> "I think once we get more of the road underway we will find merchants willing to invest with us. I have my men on it right now."
[19:41:14] <+Jack> "Destined to be overthrown.  That sounds depressing."
[19:42:11] <+Seth> "Ah many's the slip between a cup and a lip, Lord Jack."
[19:42:24] * otter is now known as Kevin
[19:45:09] <+Seth> "And how are everyone elses enterprises coming along?"
[19:47:34] <.Bynw> *the servants move about seeing to any of their Lord's needs*
[19:47:36] * +Kevin walks in, and nods to Seth. "I hope your business went well."
[19:47:52] <+Jack> "Well, the money is tight, but we expected that until the road becomes profitable."
[19:49:36] <+Jack> "It's no worse than we forecast, though."
[19:50:24] <+Kevin> "Great!"
[19:50:34] <+Kevin> "Do we have a forecasted profit?"
[19:51:13] <+Seth> ::Calls to one of the servants to fetch him a cup of Black bean tea::
[19:51:43] * +Seth tucks in his shirt as best he can
[19:52:21] <+Jack> "Not yet.  Too early to forecast when the road will finish.  Maybe if Lord Seth gets in thight with Master Chadwick and we get some Druid aid, we could start turning a profit next year."
[19:53:55] <+Kevin> "What was the total cost?"
[19:53:56] <+Jack> "Otherwise, both this year and next will be losses, though we're trying to minimize the amount of loss."
[19:55:51] <+Coch> "This overthrow you speak about, from inside or outside the country Seth?"
[19:57:50] <+Seth> ::Nods to Jack then speaks to Coch:: "They wouldn't say anything outright Coch of course. This is all innuindo and such. I think they just expect a bunch of rag tag drifters like us to fail."
[19:58:30] <+Seth> ::Rubs the bridge of his nose::
[20:00:27] <+Coch> "Seth can we trust Chadwick or should we be careful?"
[20:02:41] <+Seth> "Trust....trust is a thing for commoners Coch, it simply doesn't exist in court." ::he smiles and continues:: "I can think of one possible way to get the druid talking tonight. It's a long shot, but I suspect we could all use some time away from our problems. Until Antillies and the queen return we are stuck waiting anyways. The Tavern down the way serves an excellent meat pie and makes a god awful home brewed wine. What say 
[20:02:41] <+Seth> you?"
[20:03:25] <+Coch> "That sounds good to me"
[20:04:10] <+Jack> "I could go for some meat pie, but Chadwick is gone.  Antilles is escorting him back home."
[20:05:18] <+Seth> ::Waves over one of the servants and drops some coin in his hand while he whispers in his ear::
[20:07:45] <+Kevin> "I am up for the tavern, as well."
[20:08:13] <+Seth> ::Turns back to Coch Kevin, and Jack as the servent leaves:: "
[20:10:15] <+Seth> "I suspect Chadwick will be eager to get away from those two. But in any case I intend to drink, eat, and possibly dance....badly. I must clean up quickly. I'll meet you both there shortly."
[20:10:42] <+Kevin> "Aye."
[20:11:02] <+Coch> "Okay we will get the meat pie cooking and drinks pouring" 
[20:11:13] * +Coch stands and prepares to leave
[20:11:46] <+Seth> ::Nods and hurries to his quarters to change and wash up a bit::
[20:12:46] <+Kevin> "I am setting off now, if anyone wants to come with me at the moment."
[20:13:32] * +Coch waves to the nearest servant and leaves word that we will be eating at the tavern
[20:13:42] <+Coch> "I'm with you Kevin"
[20:14:01] <+Jack> "Yeah, I'll waunder down with you."
[20:14:15] <.Bynw> *another storm begins to brew and the sky is darkening*
[20:15:12] <+Coch> "Damn weather"  ::looking up into the sky::
[20:15:20] <+Kevin> "Lets get there before the storm hits."
[20:15:56] <.Bynw> *by the time Kevin and Coch reach the tavern it is pouring down rain*
[20:16:42] <+Kevin> "Damn."
[20:17:12] <+Jack> "Yeah, I'm soaked."
[20:18:23] * +Coch opens the door and waits for the other two Lord's to enter the tavern first
[20:18:37] <+Jack> "Thanks, Coch."
[20:19:03] <+Coch> "My please"
[20:19:14] <+Coch> "My pleasure"
[20:24:03] <+Coch> "Shall we take a table near the fireplace?"
[20:25:26] <+Kevin> "AYe."
[20:25:38] <+Jack> "Sounds good."
[20:30:18] * +Kevin sits and orders an ale
[20:30:21] <+Seth> ::The door bangs open as a lightning strike flashes outside. A lone figure stands in the threshold hunched over and trembling from the rain::
[20:31:08] <+Jack> "Lord Seth.  Come over here by the fire and dry off."
[20:31:22] <+Seth> "Damn this infernal sewer of a land."
[20:32:27] * +Coch orders a few bottles of good wine and asks to have enough meat pies for all of us to be prepared
[20:32:52] <+Seth> ::Closes the door behind himself as he tries his best to get the worst of the water off himself. He seems to have dressed for a hot summer day and his loose clothing is drenched::
[20:34:51] <+Seth> ::He waves to several patrons and staff and makes a few greetings as he takes a seat next to the others. This is the first time you've seen him with a genuine smile::
[20:35:18] <+Kevin> "Happy?"
[20:35:48] <+Seth> "If we could find someone willing to buy extraordinaryly large bugs, we would make a fortune."
[20:36:37] <+Seth> ::Sighs and smiles:: "I will be once I get something to drink and eat."
[20:40:07] <+Seth> ::Signals to a busty young barmaid and yells over to her:: "A bottle of whiskey, couple glasses and a meatpie, Adalain."
[20:40:28] <+Coch> "You must be a regular here Seth"
[20:40:31] <+Seth> ::He throws a couple coins down on the table::
[20:41:46] <+Seth> ::with a roguish smile:: "I'm a man of the people, Coch."
[20:41:55] <.Bynw> *she returns in short time with the bottle*
[20:44:49] <+Seth> ::Pulls her down into his lap as she sets the bottle down and pours two shots of whiskey into two glasses, then hands one to Adalain and quickly toasts her and drinks his down. He returns his attention to the others shooting Adalain a glance and a smile as she returns to her duties::
[20:46:08] * +Kevin waits for adelain to leave. "What was that?"
[20:46:55] <+Seth> ::Begins pouring glasses for Coch, Kevin, and Jack:: "Forgive my manners Kevin. I didn't mean to leave you out of the toast." ::he says with a grin:: "That was Adalain."
[20:48:02] <+Coch> "A niece from out of town? you dirty old man!"
[20:48:18] <+Coch> "What would Father Pele say?"
[20:49:21] <+Seth> "Father Pele, wouldn't be able to pull the broom from his backside long enough to sit down, much less drink Coch."
[20:49:54] <+Seth> ::Raises his glass in a toast and waits for the others::
[20:50:15] * +Coch raises his glass and joins in the toast
[20:51:16] <+Seth> "To the Lords of WarpWood! May our heads be full of drink, but remain attached to our necks!"
[20:53:07] * +Kevin raises lethargically
[20:53:48] <+Coch> "Long live the Lords of Warp Wood"
[20:54:54] * +Jack toasts with the others.
[20:54:57] <+Seth> ::Checks his glass against the others and drinks it down with only a slight grimace at the strong taste of the whiskey::
[20:55:41] <+Coch> "Seth you really should give up that rock gut and drink wine"
[20:57:49] <+Seth> ::Glances at Coch from the corber of his eye while pouring a 2 finger serving of Whiskey for himself and replacing the bottle where others can get to it:: "Have you tasted the wine here yet Coch?"
[20:58:27] <+Coch> "I've asked to have 2 bottles of the good wine brought to the table.  Was that a mistake?"
[20:58:51] <+Jack> "That sounds great to me, Coch."
[20:59:16] <+Seth> ::Chuckles mirthlessly at Coch and Jack:: "Good wine?"
[20:59:50] <+Jack> "To each their own, Seth."
[20:59:52] <+Seth> ::Digs into his meatpie while continuing to chuckle to himself::
[21:00:07] <+Kevin> "The pie good?"
[21:00:46] <.Bynw> *the storm lasts for several hours without letting up. by dusk it has ended*
[21:03:16] * +Coch digs into a pouch for enough coins to cover the cost and drop them on the table
[21:04:20] <+Seth> ::Two bottles of Whiskey stand infront of Seth, one empty the other half gone. He himself has been relentlessly flirting with Adalain and has just finshed, passibly, playing the fiddle for the common room as he sits back down with the others and the sun sets outside::
[21:05:14] <+Jack> "I didn't know you could play the fiddle."
[21:06:34] <+Kevin> "I didn't know anyone could play the fiddle after that..."
[21:06:48] <+Seth> "Not well, but I do. Man has to have his hobbies. I may even do it well one day." ::he says with a grin::
[21:08:03] <+Jack> "I tried to learn it as a kid, but the best I could play still sounded like a cat in heat."
[21:10:38] <+Kevin> "I never tried."
[21:11:27] * +Coch has quit IRC
[21:12:55] <+Seth> ::he spots something in the corner of the common room and slowly stands:: "I'll...ummm catch up with you gentlemen later."
[21:13:16] * +Jack gives Seth "thumbs up".
[21:14:14] <+Seth> ::He makes his way accross the common room and slips down a hallway to the back of the Tavern and is gone from sight::
