[20:05:37] <.Bynw> ** Any construction on the grand trade road
[20:05:38] <.Bynw> ** is halted due to the summer rains that 
[20:05:39] <.Bynw> ** are pounding down in the marshes and 
[20:05:41] <.Bynw> ** forests of Warp Wood. Work goes slowly
[20:05:42] <.Bynw> ** on the project.

[20:05:44] <.Bynw> ** Father Pele has made his appearance in
[20:05:46] <.Bynw> ** several council sessions of the high
[20:05:47] <.Bynw> ** lords. Using his position as the Bishop's

[20:05:50] <.Bynw> ** Bishop tends to the spiritual matters of
[20:05:51] <.Bynw> ** the state.

[20:07:56] <.Bynw> *Father Pele has come into the grand hall since the arrival of the druid heretic is due. But Lord Seth is dealing with other matters and is not present for the druid's arrival.
[20:08:57] * +Warmaster_Antilles returns to the palace from looking over the largest estates formerly held by the old Lords of Warp Wood.
[20:09:13] <+Kevin> "Hello, Father Pele. I hope you come not to seek trouble."
[20:09:19] <+Coch> After being informed the Druid Priest has arrived Coch goes to the Grand Hall 
[20:09:47] * +Jack arrrives at the Grand Hall as well.
[20:09:53] <.Bynw> *Fthr Pele* "I do not seek trouble my son. But I am here to assure that the heretic causes none."
[20:09:57] * +Charissa stares at Father Pele rather sternly and declares: Father Pele, approach our throne! We wish to have a word with you."
[20:10:40] <.Bynw> *Father Pele comes up to the throne and bows.* "Your Majesty, how may I serve?"
[20:11:00] <+Warmaster_Antilles> :: makes his way to the Great Hall ::
[20:11:46] * +Jack sips on orange juice as he enters the hall.
[20:12:22] * +Warmaster_Antilles enters beside Jack.. looking to see whats going on
[20:12:53] <+Charissa> "Father, I would like you to answer a few questions I have about your feelings about the druids."
[20:13:26] <+Jack> "So how goes, Antilles?"
[20:13:48] * +Charissa asks as she is truth reading: "for instance, do you have any hatred towards the druids?"
[20:13:50] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "The conditions here are not at all what I had hoped Jack."
[20:14:12] * +Coch Coch enters the Grand Hall and joins Lords Jack and Antilles
[20:14:16] <+Jack> "Hmmmm . . . better or worse?"
[20:14:49] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Worse." :: indicates the men in front of Charissa :: "Whats going on here?" 
[20:14:58] <.Bynw> *Father Pele* "I have no hatred towards the druids. They are a heracy to the Holy Mother Church and they are pagans and have no place in the House of God unless they are confessing their sins and renouncing their false gods."
[20:15:32] <+Jack> "Druid Priest is due here shortly."
[20:15:37] <.Bynw> (( only Father Pele is infront of the Queen, the druid has yet to arrive ))
[20:15:51] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "You met him yet?"

[20:16:11] <+Jack> "No, I don't think anyone here has."
[20:16:27] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Where is Seth?"

[20:16:58] <+Charissa> "In other words, you hate them isn't that so Pele?"
[20:17:23] * +Kevin walks near Antilles and Jack "How does it fair?"
[20:17:25] <+Jack> "I haven't seen Seth . . . and I don't know if that was the same druid or not."
[20:17:47] <+Jack> "We'll know when we see him."
[20:17:53] <+Warmaster_Antilles> " Charissa sure is on about something with Pele."
[20:19:35] <+Jack> "Pele needs to relax.  I've offered to teach him to meditate, but he responded with some stuff about Anadari heresies and such."
[20:20:01] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "The land around here is just no good Jack.. I'm either going to have to garrison recruits here at the palace or requisition coin to build a fort."
[20:20:26] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Yeah, Pele needs to get laid or something."
[20:21:01] <.Bynw> *Father Pele* "Hating someone is a sin your Majesty. I do not hate him. In the eyes of myself and the Holy Church he is damned. And I feel pitty that his soul is lost to the heresies of druidism. Nothing more."
[20:21:04] <+Jack> "That might work, too." ::chuckles::
[20:21:20] * +Warmaster_Antilles cinches up his haberk and picks up a decanter of wine and a cup from the table in front of himself and Jack.
[20:21:24] * +Coch approaches the Queen and Father Pele " If I may interrupt, you are quite right Father, if this were the House of God you would within your rights to dictate terms for visitors but you are in the house of the Queen and should remember that"
[20:21:27] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Care for some wine?"
[20:22:31] * +Kevin lets out a chuckle
[20:22:35] <+Jack> "No thanks, I've sorta fallen in love with this local beverage.  Called 'orange juice'."
[20:22:52] <+Charissa> "So you feel he is damned and condemned to a life of no use unless he renounces his how did you put it?  his "heresies"? 
[20:23:40] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Orange juice? .. sounds disgusting."
[20:23:42] <+Charissa> "and yet, condeming someone to being a heretic is killing him isn't that so, by the Church's doctrine?"
[20:23:49] * +Warmaster_Antilles looks at Jack
[20:23:49] <.Bynw> *Father Pele turns to Lord Coch* "My Lord. I am not dictating terms. I am not stating that the druid cannot come here. But as the Bishop's stead it is my right to be in council. So I choose to be here. If the druid offended me I would stay away."

[20:24:21] <+Jack> "It's the juice squeezed from a big orange fruit."
[20:24:36] <+Kevin> "Sounds like an interesting concept, juice of a fruit as a drink."
[20:25:00] <+Coch> "Is it your right to be offensive and talk out of turn to the Queen?"
[20:25:03] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "I'd like to squeeze some fruits around here.. but not any from a tree."

[20:25:21] * +Warmaster_Antilles tosses a thumb at Pele
[20:26:39] <.Bynw> "My Lady Majesty. You have obviously been in the wrong places as a child. The Holy Church frowns on herecies and heretics. They all can come before the Holy Church and ask for forgiveness and be welcomed into God's fold. That cant happen if they are dead now can it?"
[20:47:01] <+Warmaster_Antilles> :: motions towards Kevin :: "Listen to that. Whats he so worked up about?"
[20:47:12] <+Coch> "I think the Bishop had it right when he told you to refrain from talking and sharing your opinions, you should observe and report what you heard to the Bishop and not interact in the affairs of the Queen and Warp Wood"
[20:47:21] <+Kevin> "A heretic coming to where he wants all church?"
[20:48:22] <.Bynw> *Father Pele looks again at Lord Coch* "I am not the one speaking out of turn. I am answering my Queen's questions." *he turns back to the Queen*
[20:49:20] <.Bynw> *The chamberlain announces that the druid priest Chadwick has arrived. And the Druid enters the chamber.*
[20:50:32] * +Warmaster_Antilles pours another glass of wine for himself as he watches the drama in the Great Hall unfold.
[20:51:06] <.Bynw> *Chadwick's dress is that of homespun cloth breaches and a tunic. Both are wet and dirty, he has no boots or any footwear on and his feet and the rest of his body is as dirty and muddy as his clothing.*
[20:51:17] * +Kevin takes a a glass and hands it to Antilles, for a drink
[20:51:40] <+Charissa> "I have NOT been "in the wrong places as a child" as you put it, Pele.  It was not long ago that the Church considered Deryni as heretics in many kingdoms that now accept Deryni.
[20:51:43] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Aye.." :: he pours the glass full and hands it back to Kevin ::
[20:52:03] <+Charissa> "can it not be the same for Druids?"
[20:53:26] <.Bynw> *Pele whispers* "We have never been heretics in the eyes of the Church my lady. But it is best to discuss it when guests are absent."
[20:53:29] * +Charissa gets up from the throne and bows to the Druid and says "Welcome Chadwick the Druid"

[20:54:34] <+Charissa> "as you wish, Pele, FOR THE MOMENT...@@only for the moment@@"
[20:54:56] * +Warmaster_Antilles clears his throat..
[20:54:58] <+Charissa> He should be arriving anytime soon m'lord Druid
[20:56:30] <.Bynw> *he looks around and takes a seat* "Well? You did ask me to come. I have come. What do you want?"
[20:57:01] <+Jack> "Hi there.  Name's Jack."
[20:57:24] <+Charissa> "to talk to you for one thing...  In private"::Charissa says eyeing Pele
[20:57:59] <.Bynw> *Pele stands quietly at the throne*
[20:58:30] <+Coch> "Father Pele may I have a word with you, in private...now"
[20:58:33] <+Charissa> "would you be willing Chadwick the Druid?"
[20:59:18] * +Kevin sips and watchews
[20:59:53] <.Bynw> *Father Pele* "Yes you may my son" *he says taking Coch aside to one of the antichambers*
[21:00:16] <+Coch> "Thank you Father"
[21:00:21] <.Bynw> *Chadwick* "I am here aren't I? Get on with it woman."
[21:01:20] <+Charissa> "Very well.  Let us go to chambers I deem safe from intrusion."  Leads Chadwick and Jack and the other lords who deem to follow to her own chambers 
[21:01:59] <.Bynw> *Chadwick doesnt move. Infact he begins to pick at the dirt and mud stuck between his toes and toe nails*
[21:02:18] * +Warmaster_Antilles looks at Chadwick
[21:02:30] <+Charissa> "Chadwick, if you want to hear what I have to say, follow me!  Please!"
[21:03:04] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Come on man.. this way" :; indicats to Chadwick to follow the Queen ::
[21:03:08] <+Charissa> "tis not safe for you here in the open."
[21:03:24] * +Coch closes the curtains and turns to Father Pele and says "Father I need some guidance, since I've been here in Warp Wood and assumed my duties as a Lord I don't feel grounded.  I want to do right for the people but I'm not sure how I should proceed.  Any direction you could offer would be a great help"
[21:04:09] <+Jack> "If you're thirsty, I've got orange juice."
[21:04:26] <.Bynw> *Chadwick* "There is no place in Warp Wood where I am not safe. No one would dare harm me. I received the summons to the palace. I am here, speak now or I shall leave."
[21:04:39] * +Warmaster_Antilles grins and shrugs
[21:04:53] <+Charissa> ::looks to Jack and then Chadwick.."would you like some Orange Juice Chadwick?"
[21:04:59] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "I'll stick to the ale and wine thank you very much Jack."
[21:05:47] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "heh,, "ail" and "wine", eh?"
[21:06:09] * +Warmaster_Antilles laughs at a joke that probably only he himself understands
[21:06:34] <+Jack> ". . . or we have the more typical ale and wine.  Whatever you prefer."
[21:06:37] <+Charissa> "alright, since the church's toad isn't here at the moment, I wanted to tell you that on behalf of myself and the rest of the Lords, we wish to find out what happened to the previous monarch and lords.  Can you help us with the answer or to protect ourselves from the same fate?
[21:07:09] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Finally, someone besides myself seems to have remembered whats been going on around here.."

  [21:11:12] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "My good Druid, surely you can see that by helping us with these recent.. murders.. we can both begin to work together to bring a greater unity between your group and our own."
  [21:11:27] <.Bynw> *Chadwick* "So you believe the rumors that they were murdered?"
  [21:11:52] <+Charissa> we saw one of them kill himself rather than answer questions
  [21:12:09] <+Jack> "Let's just say we find the circumsances mighty suspicious."
  [21:12:20] <+Charissa> I have reason to believe it was magically induced
  [21:12:51] <.Bynw> *Chadwick* "But no proof of this I take it."
  [21:12:55] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Someone put a curse on them and they are all dead now Chadwick, I won't hold that back."

  [21:27:21] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Just as I suspected."
  [21:27:51] <+Jack> "Yeah, me too."
  [21:29:51] <Kevin> "I think we all did."
  [21:31:16] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "Now, Chadwick.. until we confer with Seth on this, I would like you to keep this a secret."

  [21:42:01] <.Bynw> *Chadwick* "That would be an honor I would not be able to keep. I have other duties that keep me away for many months at a time."
  [21:43:38] <+Charissa> then those times that you cannot attend could be delegated to the druid that's second to you in this land, Chadwick, much like the Bishop has delegated his position on the Council to the good father Pele here.
  [21:44:05] <+Warmaster_Antilles> "When your ready, I will escourt you out of the Palace, Chadwick. Until then, you are an honored guest."
  [21:45:20] <Kevin> "Honered, indeed."
  [21:45:56] <.Bynw> *Chadwick* "Actually I must take my leave already." *he stands giving a smile to Pele* "I have things that need to be tended to."
