[19:23:18] <+Jack> "Hang on, let me put some pants on."
[19:23:27] <.Bynw> *followed by "you were expected in the throne room a quarter an hour ago!"
[19:23:27] * +Antilles furrows his brow.. he takes the bed sheet and wraps it around his body.. and moves to the door to open it.
[19:23:56] * +Antilles looks around and then curses
[19:24:13] <+Antilles> "Aye.. give me 5 minutes.. I'll be there"
[19:24:25] <+Coch> "I'm up, I'm up..." Coch says loudly
[19:24:33] * +Kevin gets up, dresses quickly and opens the door
[19:24:45] <+Jack> ::Jack opens the door, now wearing pants:: "What's going on?"
[19:24:55] * +Coch moves to the door and opens it
[19:25:03] <+Coch> "What?"
[19:25:19] * +Antilles gets dressed and half run/slides into the hallway.. looking up and down the corridor to see if anyone is ready...
[19:25:21] * +Charissa wakes up and asks "who is it?"
[19:25:42] <.Bynw> *there is a young page for each of the adventures who is there to make sure they are up, dressed and brought to the throne room ... post haste*

[19:26:09] <+Antilles> "Where are the others?"
[19:26:15] * +Charissa hurries and gets ready and heads to the throne room
[19:26:26] * +Coch grabs his clothes and heads into the hallway and heads in the direction of the throne room
[19:27:06] <.Bynw> "the others are coming"
[19:27:21] * Zombus has joined #Teara-Adan
[19:27:40] <+Jack> ::Jack dresses quickly and appropriately::
[19:27:41] * +Kevin walks out the door and looks both ways, looking for the other members of the party
[19:27:45] <+Antilles> "Lets go then, eh,, whats your name?"

[19:29:05] <+Antilles> :: nods :: "Aye,. well done, Mark. Now, lets get to the throne room, shall we? We dont want to keep the king waiting, now, do we?"
[19:29:47] * +Antilles motions for Mark to lead the way.
[19:30:16] <.Bynw> *the various pages escort the adventures together to the throne room, and then they disperse as the doors open*
[19:31:54] * +Charissa looks around to see if the others are all there
[19:32:31] * +Antilles winks at Charissa
[19:32:46] * +Jack nods to the others
[19:33:06] <+Charissa> "ah I see everyone has made it here."
[19:33:14] <+Kevin> "Yup"
[19:33:38] <+Antilles> "And might I add that your looking extremely lovely considering your former fatigue, Lady Charissa"
[19:33:53] <+Charissa> "well thank you kind sir"
[19:33:57] * +Antilles gives a slight bow to Charissa
[19:34:05] * +Charissa smiles and nods to Antilles
[19:34:36] * +Antilles looks to see which lords are in the chamber
[19:35:23] <.Bynw> *all three lords of state are within the chamber and usher the party in and close the doors behind them*
[19:36:05] * +Antilles takes on a serious demenor.
[19:36:29] <+Charissa> ::looks to the Lords and the King::
[19:36:37] <+Antilles> "Hail to thee, Lords of Warp Wood."
[19:36:57] <.Bynw> ! the king is not present, only the 3 lords of state !
[19:37:25] <+Jack> "Good morning."
[19:38:01] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam rises and looks over each of the party in turn before speaking* "The King is dead."
[19:38:23] * +Antilles bows his head..
[19:38:27] <+Antilles> "How?"
[19:38:33] * +Kevin bows in silence
[19:38:59] * +Jack waits for the answer with a solemn look.
[19:39:00] * +Antilles looks back up at Lord Merriam
[19:39:09] * +Charissa stands silently
[19:39:46] * +Coch Coch  waits for the answer
[19:41:11] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "He has been killed by the magic that is effecting all of us." *he turns back to his fellow lords but still speaks to the party* "Now come, there is much to do this day my lords"*
[19:41:37] <+Charissa> "can I be allowed to see the King?"
[19:41:40] * +Antilles purses his lips in determination and follows.
[19:42:06] * +Antilles flashes a glance at Charissa
[19:42:31] <+Antilles> :: whispers :: "that may not be appropriate at this time, Lady Charissa"
[19:43:04] <+Charissa> "there is a chance we could find out something that is important but may not be there later on."
[19:43:33] <+Antilles> "Aye, you are right.. since we are the 'chief investigators' now."
[19:43:54] <+Antilles> "Lord Merriam, may the Lady see the king's body?"
[19:44:21] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam turns back to the Lady Charissa* "I am afraid that isnt possible." *he looks to Antilles* "You are far more than 'chief investigators'."
[19:44:38] <+Antilles> "What precludes her?"
[19:44:41] <+Charissa> "Aye Lord Merriam, I understand."
[19:45:11] <+Jack> "What are we then?"
[19:45:25] <+Antilles> "Merriam?"
[19:45:25] * Rhoan has left #Teara-Adan
[19:46:48] <.Bynw> "The kings body" *states Lord Scheidt* "was burned early according to custom."
[19:47:24] <+Antilles> "Damn it! Did you not think that his body would have provided some answers to your dilema?"
[19:47:35] * +Antilles glares at the Lords.
[19:48:06] <+Coch> "My Lord, why were we not informed before the cremation?" ::addressing Lord Merriam
[19:48:11] <+Charissa> "calm down Antilles."
[19:48:28] * +Antilles punches his fist into his other hand.
[19:49:24] <+Antilles> "I would have respected a later viewing.. I could have accepted that.. but THIS!" :: angerly :: "Damn!"
[19:49:51] <+Kevin> "Let us just get on with what they have planned."
[19:50:06] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "The King's Will is quit specific in that regard, and many others."
[19:50:28] <+Antilles> "Aye, Kevin"
[19:50:31] <+Jack> "Well, it's good to resprct his will."
[19:50:48] * +Antilles looks deep in thought.. but follows the Lords.
[19:52:42] <+Coch> "Later may we see the King's will to avoid anymore confusion?" ::continuing to address Lord Merriam

[19:53:25] <+Antilles> "Pehaps Merriam.. anything that the King had should be looked at.. if Im correct, Lady Charissa?"
[19:53:55] <+Charissa> "yes Antilles.  That would be a good idea"
[19:54:26] <+Antilles> "Since you used his ring .. I thought perhaps other items would prove useful to you"
[19:54:44] <.Bynw> *Lord Scheidt* "Of course you may. It concerns all six of you."
[19:55:24] * +Antilles gives a slight bow to Lord Scheidt
[19:55:31] <+Coch> "Thank you  Lord Scheidt" ::turning to him directly::
[19:55:47] <+Antilles> "I thank you for your helpfulness, m'lord"
[19:56:52] <+Jack> "Yes, thank you."
[19:57:21] * +Charissa appears to be deep in thought
[19:57:43] * +Antilles looks to see where the Lords of State are leading the party
[19:58:20] <.Bynw> *the lords are gathered around a table that has been brought into the throne room*
[19:58:24] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "Now. His Majesty has died without Heirs of his body, and the Great Lords will suffer the same fate per the curse placed upon us by our enemies."
[19:58:58] <+Antilles> "Who will rule in the King's stead?"
[20:01:21] <.Bynw> *Lord Langen* "The King has made arrangements. He has called six young lords from lands far away who upon his death are given the Territories of Warp Wood to govern as they see to govern it."
[20:02:03] * +Antilles looks around the room.. and begins to count persons...
[20:02:27] <+Antilles> "There are five here..."
[20:02:50] <+Antilles> "So, you mean, the King chose US as his regents?"
[20:02:56] <+Charissa> "the sixth will come"
[20:03:23] <+Jack> "That's quite an honor for people he met so briefly."
[20:03:27] <+Charissa> "that is what the King had said"
[20:03:42] <+Kevin> "He had a vision of us, if I remember correctly."
[20:03:51] <+Antilles> "Aye, Jack.. I do not know what to say."
[20:03:57] <+Charissa> "actually for people he had never met.  Lord Merriam, did he not make this will before we came?"
[20:05:26] <+Antilles> "Indeed, Charissa"
[20:05:36] <.Bynw> "His majesty hasnt choose you to be regents, unless that is a title you wish to assume and give new meaning to Lord Antilles." *Lord Merriam says* "He has choosen you to rule from his passing onward. We shall remain, at your leave, as advisors until our passing. But Warp Wood is now yours."
[20:06:09] <+Antilles> "Then no one is to take our place once our job is done."
[20:06:29] <+Charissa> "what he is saying is we can have our own heirs"
[20:06:44] <+Antilles> "This is not our land.. it belongs to them"
[20:06:45] <+Charissa> "we are not tainted by the magic that is killing them"
[20:06:57] <+Jack> "Yet."
[20:07:31] <+Jack> "It's a safe bet we will be if we don't find the cause of it."
[20:07:49] <+Coch> "That was the point of choosing us to help, not tainted"::I say talking to no one in particular::
[20:07:51] <+Charissa> "I for one would wish for the Lords to advise"
[20:08:08] <+Jack> "Oh, I agree.  Absolutely."
[20:08:53] <+Antilles> "If this is to work.. I suggest we are all equal in say.. and power. No one person among us should be considered "higher" than the other."

[20:09:04] * +Coch has left #Teara-Adan
[20:10:02] <+Kevin> "I concur."
[20:10:05] <+Antilles> "Surely, that was the King's will as well" :: looking at Lord Merriam ::
[20:10:29] <.Bynw> *lord Langen pulls out a large stack of parchment, including several bound books*
[20:10:46] * +Antilles looks at Lord Langen
[20:11:10] * Coch has joined #Teara-Adan
[20:13:00] <.Bynw> *the man caughs* "among these papers is the late King's Will. He left no restriction on how you proceed with the governing of your state and people. there is also the last census tallies collected 3 years ago."
[20:13:36] <+Antilles> "Be so kind, Lord Langen.. how many persons inhabit the realm?"
[20:15:14] <.Bynw> "the last count of the realm was round 20,000 souls." *he says pulling out rather large sheet and unfolding it*
[20:15:22] * +Antilles nods
[20:15:31] <Coch> "Lord Langen is there any actions we must do immediately related to the King's passing"
[20:15:38] <+Antilles> "What other information is included in the census?"
[20:15:55] * +Antilles bows to Coch.. 'go ahead"
[20:17:18] <+Charissa> ::goes over to look at the stack of parchment"
[20:17:21] <.Bynw> "This document" *he says laying it flat which Lord Merriam moves to pull forth ink and quills* "must be signed by each of you, to show that you are the true heirs of this realm"
[20:17:43] <Coch> "Sorry to interrupt Antilles but I'm trying to avoid any future surprises"
[20:18:06] * +Antilles steps back, and allows everyone else to sign before himself.
[20:18:12] <+Antilles> "No worries, Coch"
[20:18:51] <Coch> "I think we should think this over before we sign":: I say looking around the table
[20:18:57] <.Bynw> *the stack of papers and documents is about a foot tall*
[20:19:08] <+Antilles> "Im sure all of our questions will be answered, in time" :: winks at Coch ::
[20:19:25] <+Charissa> "and it's not as if this was totally unexpected."
[20:20:03] * +Charissa reads the document and then signs it
[20:20:15] * +Kevin does the same
[20:20:17] <Coch> "What I mean is will signing this immediately allow this curse or magic to attack us?"
[20:20:40] <+Antilles> "Its your choice, Coch"
[20:20:49] <+Charissa> "magic doesn't work that way, Coch"
[20:20:58] <+Charissa> "and I don't believe in curses"
[20:21:15] <Coch> "Lord Merriam must this be done immediately?"
[20:21:18] * +Jack reads and signs it.
[20:22:51] * +Antilles waits for Charissa and Kevin to sign
[20:22:58] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "Yes, immediately"
[20:24:59] * Coch signs with some mumbling about being hasty
[20:31:32] * +Antilles puts his signature on the document lastly.. "Antilles DeMarakesh" in a garish way of writing
[20:32:48] * +Jack 's signature reads "H. Malachi Jackson".
[20:33:20] <.Bynw> *Lord Lagen sprinkles a fine powder on the signatures after everyone signs and returns the document to the stack after a few minutes*
[20:33:37] * +Charissa 's reads "Charissa de Tical"
[20:34:27] * Coch 's full signature is  Coch Benbowe
[20:40:01] <+Antilles> "Very well.. that's done.. whats next, Lord Merriam?"
[20:41:38] <+Antilles> "Are the lands already divided into districts for each of us.. or shall we rule the land as a whole?"
[20:42:25] <.Bynw> "What is next, is up to you M'Lord."
[20:42:44] <+Charissa> "I suggest we look at the will"
[20:42:54] <+Antilles> "Aye, lets do that"
[20:43:41] <+Antilles> "Lord Langen, please, produce the Will of the King"
[20:43:46] <.Bynw> *Lord Scheidt* "The late King had the laws and customs of our people codified, as best as we could for your review as well."
[20:44:12] <+Antilles> "We will need to review that as well, Lord Scheidt"
[20:44:51] <.Bynw> *Lord Langen flips through the stack of documents and produces a slightly bound tablet of parchment* "The late King's Will."
[20:45:20] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "We shall leave you to your studies ... the servents shall be in if you need anything or wish to summon us."
[20:45:24] <Coch> "Lord Scheidt what is the main product of service of the kingdom?" 
[20:45:41] * +Antilles takes the will
[20:46:46] <.Bynw> "Coastal fishing and specific herbs, fruits and woods that grown only in these warm climes"
