[20:15] <anlarye> [22:30] <Bynw> *Jaeih fires up the thrusters and takes the Lady Luck out of the atmosphere of the gas giant ... as the ship exits back to space DRADIS begins to get clearer until the ship is fully in space and DRADIS again reads clear space all around them*

[20:15] <anlarye> [22:32] <Raith> ::Sets a course to Alliance space into the nav-computer:: "Course set." ::checks the drives to see if they are fully spun up::

[20:15] <anlarye> [22:33] <Bynw> "Reading 2 jumps to make it to our destination" *she confirms the readings*

[20:15] <anlarye> [22:44] <Bynw> * a successful jump. DRADIS is clear and jump drives are spinning back up
[20:15] <anlarye> [22:44] <Sathara> ::over comms:: "Oh frak.  Just before we jumped, somebody else jumped into that system."
[20:15] <anlarye> [22:46] * Ken does a quick calculation on time to next jump

[20:27] * Ken starts readying to boost the shields if required
[20:30] <anlarye> *Orsi* "No we didn't send a ship to help. There are some more long term repairs that will need to be done on your systems. Both in the navigational computer and the engines themselves. Once you get back to Alliance space."
[20:34] <Raith> ::Nods:: "Well it seems we may have some company, or just managed missing someone. I'm not entirely sure. I'll see you when we arrive. Raith out."

[20:35] <Raith> ::Intercom:: "Ken, can you spin up both drives it looks like we might have company. Sathara report to the turrent if your not already there."

[20:37] * Ken starts spinning up the primary drive with a watchful eye on the diagnostics
[20:38] <anlarye> *the drives are spinning up normally ... no indications of any failures. everything is within tolerance ranges*

[20:39] <Raith> ::begins editing the jump data to set course to return to the system they just jumped out of:: "Is it even a question?" ::sly smile::

[21:02] <Raith> "Jaeih, scan the last known position of the alien craft for any signs of thruster exhaust traces."
[21:03] <anlarye> *Jaeih* "Pulling up the DRADIS logs now. Will have your answer soon Captain."

[21:11] <anlarye> *Jaeih* "There are only 4 planets. 3 of them are gas giants and the 4th is a rock. A lot of moons."

[21:13] <Raith> "None of them habitable?"
[21:13] <anlarye> *Jaeih* "None of them ... all rocks. Cold or hot but rocks."
[21:13] * Ken does a comparison between current readings and when they first entered this system.
[21:15] <Raith> "Where would you hide, if you wanted to hide Jaeih?"
[21:17] <anlarye> *Jaeih* "In the shadow of one of the moons, if I had a cloaking ship. Otherwise I would use the upper atmosphere of one of the gas giants."

[21:17] <Raith> "Jaeih, scan the gas giants for any upper atmospheric disturbances."
[21:18] <Raith> "Take us in closer to the one we hid in."
[21:20] * Ken accesses the sensor data from just before jumping out
[21:20] <anlarye> *Jaeih* "They are full of disturbances. That's why I choose them. Storms raging across those worlds constantly." *she sets the course and engages the thrusters to return to the gas giant that she used previously*
[21:22] <Raith> ::intercom:: "Ken is it possible to 'fake' someone's sensors into thinking we jumped if we used the gas giants atmosphere to hide in right afterward?"
[21:24] <Raith> ::intercom:: "An E.M. pulse or U.V. pulse perhaps?"
[21:26] <Ken> ::intercom:: "What? hmm maybe. EM pulse with stored momentum to coast into atmosphere might work."
[21:27] * Ken starts calcualting minimum distance for a jump from a gas giant atmosphere and the required emP to simulate a jump.
