Raith sports a perpetual stubble psuedo beard and keeps his own dark brown hair nearly as short giving his classic good looks a bit of the rough-around-the-edges air to it. A bit shorter then the average height for men Raith has a lithe, athletic build. His typically laid-back demeanor, sly smile, and glib tongue are a charismatic cover for deep and turbulent emotional waters that lurk beneath; making Raith hard to read and unpredictable to outsiders. Raith's vices are numerous, including over indulgence in fine liquors, being easily distracted by women, and an almost compulsive curiosity of the unknown. Though some would count the last as one of his greatest assets as well as his vice.

Raith's typical garb includes a sleeveless shirt tucked into cargo pants over broken-in spacer boots; all snug fitting if a bit rumpled and rather nondescript. Clothing worth noting is Raith's "lucky" spacer jacket. A lite, tightly fitted jacket made of well worn and well taken care of Grey leather with a multitude of pockets both inside and out with no lapels or collar; it zips straight up the front and falls to just above the elaborate gunbelt that usually rides his waist.
