[19:45] <.Bynw> *the party nears the keep in question, it can be partially seen through the trees ahead .... a circular tower in the closing distance*
[19:45] * +Lars_Revik peers at the keep for any sign of outer guardsmen.

[20:11] * +James heads to the keep.
[20:11] * +Kanax makes haste for the tower.
[20:11] <+Lars_Revik> "I tried to talk to him... " I mutter..
[20:11] * +Jenna follows at a dead run
[20:11] <+Nym> ::Appears again at the base of the tower near the front door:: 
[20:12] <.Bynw> *the distance just longer than 100 yards .... crossed within 30 seconds at run.  Only one door (double type) with steps leading up to it.
[20:12] * +James heads towards Nym.
[20:12] <+Nym> ::as soon as the others arrive:: "Hand me some of that rope." 
[20:12] <+Lars_Revik> "Nym" I say in a low voice.. but angerly.
[20:13] * +Kanax retrieves the rope from his pack
[20:13] <+Nym> ::Nods to Lars:: " I know, the tower was warded I don't think we could have done anything about it." 
[20:14] <.Bynw> *as you crossed the open yard ... any deryni would be able to feel the ward in place*
[20:14] * +Kanax also produces a grappling hook, grinning at Lars.
[20:14] <+Lars_Revik> "Aye, sometimes the direct approach is best" I say evenly to Nym.
[20:14] * +Lars_Revik nods at Kanax
[20:14] <+Kanax> "And sometimes the direct approach will get ye killed."
[20:14] <+Lars_Revik> "Good thinking, lad"
[20:14] <+Nym> :::To Kanax:: "Hand me the rope." 
[20:15] * +Kanax passes the rope to Nym.
[20:15] <+Lars_Revik> "We are going to have to kill every last man in that keep, now, you know."
[20:15] * +Jenna looks at Lars as if he's lost his mind
[20:15] <+James> "Not necessarily, Lars."
[20:16] <+Nym> ::Shoulders the rope, then proceeds to scale the sheer wall sticking to it like a fly making his way to the 5th level::

[20:16] * +Kanax shrugs, stowing the hook.
[20:16] <+James> "We're investigating.  That's not necessarily an attack."
[20:16] <+Nym> ((Nym took the hook))

[20:17] <+Lars_Revik> "Last time I checked, breaking and entering was an attack!"
[20:17] <+Jenna> "are you planning on breaking something?"

[20:22] <+Lars_Revik> "You see, I was traveling in the wood.. and I began to wonder.. Am I lost? Well. I saw the lights of this fine and wonderous tower.. and thought I might seek refuge for the night.."
