[19:57] <.Bynw> *monks at a nearby monistary have given a portal location to the 3 deryni within the party.  enabling them to make the jumb to the Cathedral on the south border of Kirsh.
[19:58] <.Bynw> *the distance is far, and coupled with the orignal portal jump and taking the non-deryni with them.  it will be exhausting*

[19:59] * +Kanax scowls, "Fine, but somebody owes me dinner."

[20:00] * +Lars_Revik moves over to Seanna, and asks what preperations he should make.
[20:00] * +Jenna shrugs
[20:00] <+James> "We'll need a meal when we get there.  This is gonna be tiring to make a second jump so soon to an unfamiliar destination."
[20:01] * +Kanax softens slightly, "It's not who's escorting me, it's the trip itself, lass."
[20:01] <.Bynw> *Seanna*  "Just hold still and dont think of anything.  We'll go first."
[20:01] * +Jenna nods understandingly
[20:01] * +Lars_Revik nods to Seanna
[20:02] <.Bynw> *again the non deryni feel the stomach turning sensation of vertigo as their world goes black and the floor falls from under their feet.  the sensation last for only a few heartbeats and the world reforms and they are elsewhere*
[20:02] * +Lars_Revik opens his eyes to the light of a new environment.. staring about to get his bearings.
[20:02] * +Kanax is very pale, "On second thought, I'll pass on dinner for a while."
[20:03] <+Lars_Revik> "Get some intestinal fortitude, Kanax" I say with a laugh.
[20:04] * +Kanax frowns even more.
[20:04] * +Lars_Revik smiles at Seanna
[20:04] <+Lars_Revik> "Thanks for the ride, my lady"
[20:04] <.Bynw> *the portal at the Cathedral is located in an annex behind the alter.  they are greated by priests shortly after Senna's arrival.*
[20:05] * +James greets the priests and again offers the customary donation.
[20:05] <.Bynw> *all of the deryni are definately tired as the 2 jumps have been taxing and need rest*
[20:05] * +Lars_Revik follows James' lead, and drops the same amount in the offering
[20:05] * +Kanax finds a place to sit for a few minutes.
[20:06] * +Lars_Revik takes a look at the Deryni in the party, and thinks they might need a rest
[20:07] <+Lars_Revik> "You have been taxing yourselves, it seems" I say grimly to the Deryni
[20:07] * +James nods to Lars. "Yes, it's been a long day, but we still need to see about that other caravan."
[20:07] * +Jenna nods cordially and makes a donation then leans up against a wall for a bit
[20:07] <.Bynw> *the priests escort the visitors to some quarters and offer them a light meal*  "We had been wondering when someone was going to arrive here since all the happenings at Kirsh.  Are you from Lord Benedict's Hall?"
[20:08] <+Lars_Revik> "Aye, priest. We are here to make right that what was done"
[20:08] <+James> "I'm from the Paradise Druids, and the rest of us are in their employ, currently as well, except for Lars who just joined us."
[20:09] <.Bynw> *the priest* "Ah.  Welcome then Brother.  Then you will be heading to Kirsh?"
[20:09] * +Lars_Revik nods to James, and the priest "I seek to make amends for those who could not defend themselves"
[20:10] <+James> "Yes, to Kirsh.  But first we're looking for a caravan coming from there."
[20:10] * +Lars_Revik touches the pommel of his sword, in gesture.
[20:10] <.Bynw> "There is a caravan carring the survior of the attack that took place.  Slow going through the road of Kirsh so the stories go."
[20:11] <+Lars_Revik> "Then it shouldnt be that difficult to catch the caravan, or so I hope"
[20:11] * +Kanax makes his way to his feet. "So the caravan we're seeking is the original caravan we thought destroyed."

[20:11] <.Bynw> *Ibon*  "I think we need to rest before we do anything James."  *to the priest*  "Do you have horses?"
[20:12] * +Lars_Revik looks at Kanax, and says "We should aquire horses"
[20:12] * _Kagi_  has joined #Teara-Adan
[20:12] <+James> "Yes.  The other caravan's loss was a tragedy, but it wasn't the one we were seeking after all."
[20:12] * +Lars_Revik smiles at Ibon
[20:12] <+Lars_Revik> "Great minds think alike, sir" I say to Ibon.
[20:13] <.Bynw> *priest* "Yes we do have horses available.  Ah, here are your quarters gentleman.  Ladies, your quarters are just down the hall"
[20:13] <+James> "Yes, rest.  I suppose I do . . . "
[20:13] * +James feels the exhaustion as the adrenaline of the moment fades.
[20:14] * +Lars_Revik looks in at the room, then turns to the others "Let me know when you all are prepared and rested..take your time, but, do not tarry, if you please."
[20:14] * +Kanax raises an eyebrow at Lars, but says nothing.
[20:14] * +Lars_Revik seems a bit anxious
[20:15] <.Bynw> *the priests do not bother the adventures for the rest of the day.  and the Deryni are thankfull, they need the rest*
[20:15] <.Bynw> *Ibon* "Somethings wrong."
[20:15] * +Kanax gathers his senses about him, and sets about tending his gear.
[20:15] <+Lars_Revik> "Ah, I know, Im a bit hot-headed at times, please excuse my honesty." and I bow to Kanax.
[20:15] <+James> ((I'm assuming I;ve been bringing Rufus along as well.  A Druid wouldn't just leave his animal companion.))

[20:17] <.Bynw> (( there is a common area where both the ladies and gents can gather in peace ... later in the evening after a good nap for most of the Deryni .. that is when Ibon makes his statement ))
[20:17] * +Jenna lies down in the ladies' quarters and is instantly asleep
[20:17] * +Kanax looks up from his weapons and armor, "Eh? Oh, no worries, lad. Just unsure what is going on, and trying to be sure that I'm at least prepared for what may happen."
[20:18] <+James> "What's wrong, Ibon?"
[20:18] * +Lars_Revik goes into his room, removes his armor, and lies down for sleep.
[20:19] <.Bynw> *Ibon*  "All this information coming out of Kirsh.  Benedict isnt one to let said information out so easily."
[20:20] <+James> "Then you think it's some sort of trick?"
[20:20] <.Bynw> "Even your last venture into Kirsh isnt know outside of those that were apart of it."
[20:21] <.Bynw> "But this attack on the druid settlement and the finding of a survivor is known.  It might be a trick ... I dont know."
[20:22] <+James> "Then we'll need to be extra vigilant."
[20:22] <.Bynw> (( everyone is taking part in this conversation ... not just the gents))
[20:23] * +Lars_Revik gets up and wanders over to James
[20:23] <.Bynw> *Seanna*  "I think we should spend the night here and leave at first light.  That way we will have all of our powers available to us."
[20:23] <+Lars_Revik> "Whats the matter, James?"
[20:23] * +Kanax nods slightly, still working over his weapons, ensuring a keen edge.
[20:24] <+James> "Ibon is concerned about how freely information is flowing out of Kirsh, Lars."
[20:24] <+Lars_Revik> "Kirsh's borders are heavily guarded, that much is true..." I say and bend my head in thought...
[20:25] * +Jenna tends to her Einarian bow, listening
[20:25] <+Lars_Revik> "If they are leaking information, they must know that we are here" I say matter of factly to James.
[20:26] <+James> "Well, we never tried for real secrecy, but I still wonder how they know."
[20:26] <.Bynw> *ibon* "that crafty old dwarf is up to something."
[20:26] * +Lars_Revik looks at Ibon earnestly and I say "What do you think, sir Ibon?"
[20:28] <.Bynw> *Ibon laughs*  "I am no 'sir'.  I'm not sure its us that they know about.  Maybe assumed about."
[20:29] * +Lars_Revik laughs at Ibon's first comment, then, I tell him "Aye, something like this would have to be guarded against. But, do you think there might be some kind of scrying involved?" I end my sentance to Ibon with a wink.
[20:30] <+James> "Well, he's either misleading us, or feeding us true information because our involvement furthers his interest.  Probably the latter, I think."
[20:31] <+Lars_Revik> "Then its a Game, eh, James?" I say impetuoulsy.
[20:32] <.Bynw> *Ibon* "Lord Benedict, the Earl of Kirsh maybe a dwarf, but he has dabbled in the mental arts and has some powerful dwarven sorcerers within his realm.  His troups scry the borders regularly."
[20:32] * +Kanax finishes sharpening the family heirloom that he rarely uses, then turns to his scimitar, his face darkening for some reason as he works.
[20:33] * +Lars_Revik looks back at Ibon and adds "Then we should be on guard for spies, would not you say?"
[20:33] <.Bynw> *Seanna*  "If there are wizards and sorcerers involved.  All the more reason to rest the night."
[20:34] <.Bynw> *Ibon* "Just have to avoid the patrols at the border.  An easy task."
[20:34] <+James> "That's tre, Seanna, and if the caravan arrives in the night, they'll surely stop here for the night."
[20:34] * +Lars_Revik nods to Seanna. "Aye to that, my lady"

[20:35] <+Lars_Revik> ((Is the caravan headed towards us, or away from us?))

[20:36] <.Bynw> *Ibon* "I think I shall turn in for the night and then we should leave at first light"

[20:36] * +Kanax looks up from his work, directly at James. He says nothing...
[20:36] <+Lars_Revik> "I agree, Ibon."
[20:37] <+James> "I agree with Ibon.  I'll take Rufus out and then get some more rest."
[20:37] <.Bynw> *ibon* "the border is a days ride from here."
[20:37] <.Bynw> !! thats it for the night until the am ... anyone doing anything else of note?? 
[20:37] <+Lars_Revik> "I'll head back to my quarters, then, if it pleases you all"
[20:37] * +Lars_Revik goes back to his bed, and tries to sleep....

[20:46] * +Kanax checks all the buckles and straps on his armor, before bedding down for the night.

[20:51] * +Kanax is up early, waiting in the common area, his gear packed and ready for travel.
[20:51] <.Bynw> *the priest have prepared horses for the group, for a small donation to the Cathedrals coffers since travelling INTO Kirsh sometimes is a one way trip*

[20:52] * +Lars_Revik looks at Kanax, and then puts a few coins in the palm of the priest's hand
[20:52] <+Lars_Revik> "Good morning..." I say to Kanax
[20:53] * +Kanax waits until all have arived, before donating to the priests, "Good morning to you, lad."
[20:54] * +Jenna makes an appropriate donation, thanks the priests then goes to inspect the horses
[20:54] <+Lars_Revik> "Ive only to get my armor, Kanax, then Im ready.." I look about "Shall we have a small repast before our departure?"
[20:55] <.Bynw> *as everyone gets mounted on the horses Ibon himself comes riding back into the stables*  "I dont think we should use the road, it would be madness to ride directly into Benedict's lair"
[20:55] * +Kanax watches Jenna go to check on the mounts, "There should be time."

[20:57] * +Lars_Revik gathers his belongings, and whatever morsels of food the monks have put out, then gets to the stables.
[20:58] <+Lars_Revik> "Sorry, sorry, Im late" I say as an admonition to myself for being so gung-ho last night.
[20:59] * +Kanax mounts his horse, and looks off into the distance, "Of all the places I thought I'd never visit..."
[20:59] * +Lars_Revik dons his armor, then gets on his horse.

[21:00] * +Kanax shakes his head, "No, I just never thought in a million years, would I ever find myself there."
[21:01] * +Lars_Revik jumps in the saddle, and grins at Kanax and Ibon.. "Were not going to die any younger!" I say with youthful glee.

[21:03] * +Jenna mounts her horse expertly then urges it forward

[21:03] * +Lars_Revik nods, and looks at Ibon.. "Lets catch him!"
[21:03] * +Lars_Revik spurs his horse onward
[21:04] * +Kanax rides ahead, to take his usual position at point. As he passes James, he nods slightly.

[21:18] * +Lars_Revik rubs and pats his horses neck, as he reigns in, and looks around
[21:18] * +Kanax rides along, not letting his fear show to his comrades.
[21:20] <.Bynw> *Ibon*  "We crossed the border all ready.  We need to head back to the trail, its the only way a caravan can get out.  Cross country isnt they it will travel"
[21:20] * +Lars_Revik sniffs the air, and looks at Kanax
[21:21] * +Lars_Revik looks out from under his furrowed brow at Ibon and says "Should we prepare an ambush?"

[21:23] <.Bynw> *Ibon*  "We need to get moving.  There is a storm coming this way ..."

[21:26] <.Bynw> *the party moves on as Ibon leads them back to the trail ... as they look about they see the moss covered trees of gargantuan size towering overhead casting shadows in the darkening forest*
[21:27] <.Bynw> *the trail itself isnt well travelled and vanishes into the darkness of the forest and mists head*
[21:27] * +Lars_Revik grabs at his longsword, and loosens it in it's scabbard
[21:28] <.Bynw> *ibon walks his horse on the trail and then just stops and looks about when the wall of rain pours down*
[21:28] * +Kanax keeps his hand at the ready, staying near Ibon, as he leads the way.
[21:29] * +Lars_Revik dismounts
[21:30] <+Lars_Revik> "arg, awful weather..." I mutter
[21:30] <.Bynw> *Ibon dismounts and lets go of his horse*  "You are half right Lars." *he says*
[21:30] <.Bynw> "James ... do you have any weather magic?
[21:30] * +Lars_Revik grins
[21:31] <+James> "I'm afraid not."
[21:31] <+Lars_Revik> ((brb))
[21:32] <+Kanax> ((Urg, gotta afk, house problem))

[21:34] <+James> "I know some druids who do, too . . . and I think you're right."
[21:35] * +Lars_Revik stands in the rain, letting it run down his face.. I blink away the water, and listen to Ibon "You make my heart lift a bit, old man." I say to him without sarcasm.
[21:36] <.Bynw> "We stay on this road and we are all dead.  The horses will get knee deep in the mud. We can cut across country on foot."
[21:37] <+Lars_Revik> "Then lets get the hell out of here" I say as I get back on my steed.
[21:38] <+Lars_Revik> "Ill take the horses over and tie them, I suppose" I look around "Ill join you all after"
[21:38] <.Bynw> "You take that horse off this trail and the beasts of the forest will smell it, some even in the rain for miles"
[21:38] <+James> "Let's go, then."
[21:38] * +Lars_Revik nods
[21:38] <+Lars_Revik> "Well said, I had not thought of that, Ibon." I get back off the horse..."What shall we do with the animals then?"
[21:39] <.Bynw> "Let them be bait where they stand or smack them in the arse so they go back home on their own."
[21:40] <+Lars_Revik> "You just like to see me climb up and down dont you?":
[21:40] * +Lars_Revik grins, and then says, "in the interest of the life of a horse, lets high them away, if it pleases you, Ibon"
[21:41] <+James> "Yes, I'll smack mine, thank you."
[21:41] * +Kanax sends his mount on home, "Lead the way."
[21:41] <+Kanax> ((Hate to do it, but wife needs help with something.  Gonna have to AFK for a good little while))
[21:41] <.Bynw> *ibon grabs his bow in his right hand and takes an arrow in his left*  "Lets move"  *he wacks the horse with the arrow*
[21:41] * +James spanks his horse and follows Ibon.
[21:41] * +Lars_Revik follows suit, and sends his mount away with a small thanks for its service
