[19:27:09] <~Bynw> *Seth rides back to the other nobles* "That Seafort Captain and some of his men are missing. Apparently, no one knows where they have gone."
[19:29:55] <~Bynw> *the plains are shrouded in an early fog that will be burn off shortly after sunrise, now less than an hour away.
[19:29:59] <+Charissa> "I bet they've taken off to get the nobles...We better hurry up and try to catch up with them."
[19:30:32] <~Bynw> *Seth* "Are you sure your visions are accurate Jack? We will win this fight?"
[19:30:58] <+Jack> "That was the vision, but it'll be ahard fight."
[19:32:45] <~Bynw> *Seth looks down at the battle map* "We will need to breach their walls. Best to do so at the gates where they will be weakest in construction." *he turns to the Major*
[19:33:33] <~Bynw> "Take a strong enough force to get through those wooden walls. Fortunately we are not dealing with stone here."

[19:38:22] <+Seth> ::backhands the battlemap:: "If those damn mercenary mages had not gone off on their own we might stand a chance of using magic to make an opening in the walls. I don't think I alone can make something big enough for all of us."
[19:39:34] <+Coch> 'Instead of breaking through the gate should we try to sneak in and open them up?"
[19:40:22] <+Coch> "and does anybody know if they have an escape tunnel or secret gate or something like that?"
[19:41:27] <~Bynw> *Major Kohel* "I should be able to get a force to breach the walls at the gates. It may take some time but we need to use this fog while we have it."
[19:41:56] <+Seth> ::Looks to Cock:: "Not a bad line of thinking Lord Coch. It would help if we could find Lord Kevin, but he is much overdue and I fear the worst. Lord Jack, do you have an notions?"
[19:42:49] <+Jack> "The Major's plan sounds as good as any to me."

[19:43:36] <~Bynw> "Good m'lord. We could use your talents in defending our position."
[19:44:30] <+Seth> "I can provide some cover from projectiles and magic to a small group, something big enough to breach the gates possibly."
[19:44:46] <+Charissa> "I can also help with illusions"
[19:45:56] <+Coch> "I will come along as well, I should be able to shoot a few important people on the walls"
[19:46:32] <~Bynw> *the major rolls his eyes* "You people have no skills in battles. Lord Jack will be sufficient for our needs. All of the lords should not be in one place."
[19:48:08] <+Coch> "Can't one of you spell users just burn down the wooden gate?"
[19:49:34] <+Seth> ::Looks stunned for a moment at what the major has said, then recovers:: "Oh. No, no major. My protection will not require me to be with the group. I am a high lord and my place is over seeing the battle not IN it. I only need to see the men. I will provide much better support from an elevated position near here."
[19:50:10] <~Bynw> *the major nods* "I shall assemble the force my lord"
[19:50:28] <+Charissa> "And I have no intention of being in the thick of the battle either, Major.  I need to be away from the fighting to work my illusion"
[19:51:18] <+Jack> *shrugs* "suit yourselves"
[19:51:24] <+Seth> ::Looks to lord Coch as if explaining something to a child:: "Lord Coch what can be blown up by magic, can be strengthened by it as well. I'm sure the Egoran's have taken proper precautions."
[19:52:14] <+Coch> "Sorry, I thought you were more powerful"
[19:53:03] <+Seth> ::Sneers at Coch, but doesn't rise to the bait::
[19:54:14] <+Coch> "I'm still going to get close enough to shoot"
[19:55:26] <~Bynw> *Sprax* "The army is ready Sire."
[19:55:57] <+Charissa> "Let's go people, while we have the fog to help us"
[19:57:58] <+Seth> ::Nods to Sprax:: "Excellent work Marshall. Major Kohel, I take it you intend to use a ram to breach the gates?"
[19:58:57] * +Coch heads out in a different direction from the rest of the assault force
[19:59:07] <~Bynw> *the major nods*
[20:01:07] <+Seth> "Good, show me the ram. I will place the protection spell on it so everyone near the ram will be protected. It will help to anchor the spell to an object."
[20:01:51] <~Bynw> *the men under the major's command bring out a rough made ram, which was constructed during the journey
[20:02:10] <+Seth> ::Looks to Charissa:: "My Queen, do your arts include something that can kill at a distance?"
[20:05:09] <+Seth> ::Seth doesn't wait, he begins using his staff to draw a large circle, with intricate designs inside it, around the ram and a pouch of salt to pour a thin line of salt along the outer circles path::
[20:05:11] <+Charissa> "no sadly..."
[20:07:05] <+Seth> ::he talks while he works:: "I need someone who can kill at a distance, from out of bowshot. The Egoran mages will try to tear down my magics and I will resist them. If I have someone at my side I can call out targets and we can kill them one by one from the ramparts. They will want to have a line of sight with the ram like I do."
[20:07:20] <~Bynw> *the landscape around the Egorian city is a plain, a few rolling hills but nothing that would give advantage to an attacker save the early morning fog of november
[20:10:34] <+Seth> ::he sits cross legged just outside the circle and mutters in latin for a moment. After a few seconds he claps his hands together with a sound is like a very small thunderclap. The salt dissolves and a sudden wind erases the drawings in the dirt::

[20:20:15] <~Bynw> *the major and his forces with Lord Jack march off into the fog*
[20:23:06] <+Seth> ::watches the Major and his cohorts go:: "Well I really should go watch. This fog is just too much. I can't see a thing from here."
[20:24:07] <~Bynw> *Sprax* "I shall split the force in half. See if we can find a weakness in one of the sides"
[20:26:44] <~Bynw> ? who goes with which force of the army or do the lords (now only Seth and Charissa) stay behind with a small troop?
[20:26:47] <+Seth> "Marshall. See to it that you take a contingent of men into the capital and capture as many of the nobility as possible."

[20:29:18] <+Seth> ::Smiles to Charissa:: "I'm afraid your majesty that you can not follow where I am going." ::he steps a pace back, a feeling of chaos eminates from him for a moment."

[20:32:49] <+Seth> ::he throws his arms up trailing his cloak and in a quick flash only a large jet black crow flaps where he once stood. The crow flies off into the fog towards the capital of Egora::
[20:37:24] <+Seth> ::The crow wheels silently through the sky and circles with the other carrion eaters in the sky above the capital. Watching and waiting his oppertunity::
[20:41:27] <~Bynw> *the army marches towards egoria's walls, in 3 separate groups ... as the fog lifts*

[20:52:01] <~Bynw> *the soldiers at the gates use a shields to form a cover for the battering ram as they attempt to take the wall with the few non-shield men using bows against any Egorian attackers and Jack to back them up*

[21:05:13] <+Charissa> ::stands at the back end and concentrates.  As soon as the walls are breached even slightly, creates an illusion of fire engulfing Egorians and any buildings that are in sight::
[21:06:16] <~Bynw> *several shots ring out from where Coch has hunkered down ... and a few men fall from the egorian walls*
[21:11:22] <~Bynw> *the crows caw frantically in the skies above the city and the plains head off towards the west, few if any remain*
[21:16:05] <+Seth> ::A single black crow comes to rest in an open window in a high tower in the courtyard inside the Egoran defenses::
[21:16:30] <+Seth> ::He scans the interiour of the room::

[21:22:34] <~Bynw> *the people running in every direction and pointing skyward, even the gate defenders have abandoned their posts*
[21:24:26] <+Charissa> "go folks, take advantage of this...I won't be able to hold it for long."
[21:26:04] * +Coch seeing the panic packs up his gear and heads for the gate while continuing to look for targets of opportunity
[21:29:37] <~Bynw> *the battle field is over taken by shadow ... and the beat of leather wings can be heard over head
[21:30:39] <+Seth> ::the lone crow squawks loudly from his perch on the window and looks to the sky::
[21:32:01] <~Bynw> *the glossy black beasts shriek with an earpeircing sound as the swoop out of the clouds towards the city causing futher panic within its walls.
[21:32:52] <~Bynw> *they are dragons and bellow out a spray of acid on the walls and men guarding them before they circle back skyward
