[20:05] <+Nym_Gibran> "Please Knos, don't over react. I think it is best if we have a bit of protection while we think."
[20:06] * +Taenor stares, waiting, at the ready, physically and mentally.
[20:06] <+Risira> "So we will be able to get back out of here?"
[20:06] <+Nym_Gibran> "Of course."
[20:06] * +Knos looks back at Nym "So you did that?"
[20:07] * +Risira sighs with relief.
[20:07] <~Bynw> *anyone with psychic ability feels the presence of a ward snapping into place*

[20:09] * +Regan takes the medallion and places it in the brick hole, still holding its chain.

[20:10] * +Nath nods, seemingly perfectly at ease.
[20:10] * +Taenor nods at his brother's comment, and looks at Risira, and sighs a little.
[20:11] <+Taenor> "Master Nym did it. He is probably the most powerful single psionically gifted person I've ever encountered."
[20:11] * +Knos looks a little uncomfortable but relaxes
[20:11] <+Nym_Gibran> "Excellent." ::closes his eyes and a look of concentration crosses his face as he attempts to enter Nath's mind again::
[20:11] * +Nath glances at Nym and appears to relax
[20:11] * +Risira relaxes a little but still seems a little anxious.
[20:12] * +Rus watches Nymand Nath with some apprehension on his face.
[20:12] * +Regan shrugs and stands with the medallion having not noticed anything with the hole.
[20:12] <+Daine> ::Fumbles with his revolver:: "Master Nym why did you lock my pistol? Please, I was just covering Nath."
[20:12] * +Regan looks about the room
[20:13] * +Regan looks at the ceiling
[20:14] <+Llanth> "I would assume to keep you from doing something unwise."
[20:14] * +Knos picks up his dagger and sheathes it
[20:15] * +Nath chuckles, and then appears to refocus again
[20:15] <+Daine> "Like what? You said yourself Knos, someone was controlling you. I was just covering Nath."
[20:16] <+Knos> "I agree, I am a little concerned as well but I know little of this. I trust Rus will inform me if he thinks something is wrong with your Master Nym."
[20:16] <+Daine> "Wrong with Master Nym? You trying to say he was controlling you?!"
[20:16] * +Rus ignores the banter and appears to be watching Nym and Nath very carefully.
[20:17] <+Knos> "No, I am saying I was controlled and so is Nath. I do not know by whom."
[20:18] <+Daine> "Is? You think he's still being controlled then?"
[20:18] * +Regan starts to walk slightly away from the others and continues to scan the room
[20:18] <+Knos> "I am not sure... Rus says he still has shields, whatever those are, and I no longer have shields. Nath says he is fine though."

[20:20] <+Taenor> "If you were an extremely powerful person, having succeeded in controlling someone else, and another person realized that might be the case, wouldn't you be trying to convince them that you werent being controlled? Especially if you were outnumbered?

[20:21] <+Knos> "I trust Rus and Risira when it comes to these matters they know more than I"

[20:23] <+Taenor> "I assume you know how to use one of these? It'd better serve you in close quarters. And you can throw it if need be, brother."
[20:24] * +Llanth sheaths his swords.
[20:24] * +Regan continues scanning the room
[20:24] <+Daine> ::Waves Taenor off:: "Thank you but no. I've been trained to use my hands if it comes to it."

[20:25] * +Taenor shrugs. "As you will, brother. I'd prefer something short-ranged enough to stab someone and long enough to keep them at bay without hindering movement."
[20:26] * +Risira nervously reaches for her dagger at her belt but does not unsheathe it, knowing that she's not very good at using it.
[20:27] <+Llanth> "I am sure that Daine could use you as a great club Taenor."
[20:27] * +Regan turns to the others and looks at Knos, then Nath, then back again.

[20:35] * +Taenor leans back against a wall, but stays attentive.
[20:36] * +Rus continues to watch Nym and Nath but appears a little more relaxed.
[20:38] * +Nath eyes slowly close and he falls to the floor.

[20:38] * +Regan slides a throwing knife into his hand from up his sleeve ever so slowly
[20:38] <+Knos> ?me draws his sword but does little else
[20:38] * +Risira steps forward toward Nath, looking extremely alarmed and reaching for the clasp on her Healer's satchel.
[20:38] * +Knos draws his sword but does little else
[20:39] <+Nym_Gibran> ::his eyes open with a flutter:: "He's fine, just sleeping peacefully and dreaming of righting wrongs and catching criminals."
[20:39] <+Rus> "Careful Risira"
[20:39] * +Rus smiles "That sounds like Nath."
[20:39] <+Risira> (incredulously) He fell ASLEEP?
[20:39] * +Knos snorts "Aye does he still have those shileds?"
[20:39] * +Taenor walks over to Nath, blade sheathed, and checks his pulse, assures himself he is fine, and checks Nym's wrist as well.
[20:39] * +Llanth screws the cap back on his canteen.
[20:40] * +Regan continue to peer at Knos
[20:40] <+Nym_Gibran> ::His pulse is slow and steady::
[20:40] <+Llanth> "Interesting."
[20:40] * +Rus gets an unfocused look
[20:40] <+Nym_Gibran> ::To Risira:: "Fell? No. I put him to sleep."
[20:40] <+Taenor> "They're both well through whatever went on. Pulse is normal and nothing physically wrong."
[20:41] * +Risira walks over to Nath and sets her right palm on his forehead to do a quick scan to reassure herself.

[20:41] <+Llanth> "Anything you are going to enlighten us on Master Nym?"
[20:41] <+Rus> "He still has shields."
[20:41] * +Knos sheathes his sword
[20:41] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks about the room:: "Do any of you know how to lock open hammers on a pistol the way I have in the past?"
[20:42] * +Regan walks closer to the others
[20:42] * +Rus shakes his head "Not I"
[20:43] <+Llanth> "I must say that I am not familiar with that technique."
[20:43] <+Llanth> "Does it work on bows?"
[20:43] <+Risira> "No, Master.  I was trained to Heal bodies and minds, not to manipulate weapons."
[20:43] * +Regan shakes his head in the negative
[20:44] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Smiles at Llanth:: "It works on any two objects. A bow and arrow would do."

[20:46] * +Regan resheaths his knife and then crouches down and runs his palm over the mosaic bricks.

[20:48] <+Nym_Gibran> "The wards on this room should protect us well from here out, but you can consider Nath dangerous in the extreme if he awakens...." ::Trails off and his head snaps to Regan. A smile cracks his face::
[20:48] <+Nym_Gibran> "I thought they might be. Or hoped they would. I think it was the door closing."
[20:49] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Moves to get a closer look at the mosaic::
[20:49] <+Regan> "They are not binded together"
[20:50] <+Regan> "They appear NOT real. As if an ,um, illusion?"
[20:50] <+Llanth> "Are they solid?"
[20:51] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Closes his eyes with a sigh::
[20:51] * +Llanth leans toward the bricks in question to look."
[20:52] <+Risira> "Master Nym, you are telling us we can no longer trust our Captain?"
[20:52] <+Regan> "The bricks surrounding the image are real, but the dragon seems not to be."
[20:53] * +Knos frowns at Master Nym.
[20:54] <+Rus> "Who or what was controlling Knos and is still controlling Nath Master Nym?"
[20:56] * +Regan runs his hand over the image
[20:56] <+Llanth> "Is it possible that Our renegade druid is Uthani?"
[20:57] * +Regan eyebrows shoots up.
[20:57] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Opens his eyes:: "The matrix is incomplete, so it could not be that. Who else could it be that's controlling Nath and did control you?"

[20:59] <+Knos> "I do not know Master Nym; Nath was the investitgator not I"
[20:59] <+Rus> "I do not know but there were those Uthani tracks frm the assassin that killed Ceaddda."

[21:00] * +Regan looks at Daine, then smiles as he nods then looks to Nym for conformation

[21:01] <+Taenor> "Daine, what of the druid being Uthani. As our resident expert, what do you think?"
[21:03] <+Daine> "Possible, but doubtful. The church of Twan Do doesn't take well to infidels. Besides owlbears are native to Kirsh I believe, meaning Chadwick would be one of those insane lot."
[21:06] * +Regan closes his eyes and slows his breathing.
[21:06] <+Taenor> "And one to be feared, period. Kirsh is not a place many long to go to. It is as bad as Einar. My monastery was nearby, and we were barely tolerated."
[21:08] <+Daine> "Llanth, you know of this Chadwick don't you? And not from Utha I believe."

[21:09] <+Llanth> "Though what I know of him, he was slain."
[21:09] * +Regan reaches out with his senses to probe the mosaic

[21:10] <+Llanth> "Which makes me wonder about just how powerful he is if this is the same Chadwick."

[21:12] <+Rus> "Where is Warp Wood exactly Llanth?"
[21:13] <+Nym_Gibran> "No. This room is warded to keep everyone out. The medallion is the only way to enter. At the time of the Skylight wars and Anadari wars some of the more powerful Masters took the central brick from many of the Matrix's. I do not know why for certain, but I've seen this kind of thing before."
[21:13] * +Regan turns to Master Nym after shaking his head slightly
[21:13] <+Taenor> "How do we solve this problem, then? And would replacing the brick stop what has happened to our companions?"

[21:15] <+Regan> "Master, I thought for a moment there that I saw, or maybe sensed, a blue light like handfire emenating from the mosaic, surrounding some of the others."
[21:15] * +Nath 's open and he gets up from the floor
[21:16] * +Risira jumps up nervously.

[21:16] <+Nath> "How did I get on the floor?"
[21:17] <+Llanth> "I suggest you stay there Nath."
[21:17] <+Llanth> "Not to be unfriendly but you may come to harm if you do not."
[21:17] * +Rus looks at Nath carefully.
[21:17] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Smiles at Regan:: "Good. Your learning quickly Regan. You are correct. Captain Nath, Tara, You, and myself are connected to the matrix somehow. I sensed it when I handed the medallion to you."

[21:19] * +Taenor sighs and resheaths, hand straying to his daggers just in case.

[21:22] <+Nath> "I have been here the whole time. ALthough I do not remember falling to the floor."

[21:24] * +Taenor puts a hand on Nath's shoulder, taking the moment of contact to read him. "Calm yourself, captain. It was a question only. Right, brother?"
[21:24] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to Regan:: "We where the ones standing on the mosaic at that moment."

[21:33] * +Regan walks over to the doors and slightly opens one outwards.
[21:33] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Reaches into his belt pouch and pulls out four small cubes about the size of dice. Two black, Two white and rolls them around in his hand in thought::

[21:34] <+Daine> ::his hand dips to his pistol::

[21:35] <+Knos> Knos draws his sword and watches beyond the door as it opens.

[21:37] * +Nath smiles "Well that makes me feel a little better. I have been watching Regan wander all over teh place playing with his medallion."

[21:38] * +Regan notices that the doors don't budge as he turns back to Nym. "Good thing there's no handles then."

[21:39] <~Bynw> *Tara* "You probably need to do some sort of ritual to open then again. I don't think its physically possible"

[21:40] <+Regan> "I think I'll let Master Nym handle that, my lady.

[21:44] <~Bynw> *the dragon image shifts like hundreds of little tiles on the floor moving by themselves and shows the door and the medallion together

[21:51] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Pulls four more cubes from his belt pouch and begins placing the colored cubes on the outside edge of the Mosaic::

[21:52] * +Nath watches Master Nym "What are those cubes Master Nym?"
[21:52] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Stops as he nears the doors and studies them for a moment:: "Cubes."
[21:53] * +Rus looks at Master Nym with an expression of respect.
[21:53] <+Nath> "Master Nym, they are more than just cubes, otherwise you would not be placing them in such a manner."
[21:54] <~Bynw> *the tiles shift again, clicking as they turn over, forming no image ... just blackness*
[21:54] <+Nath> "You are not marking the edge of the mosaic as we can plainly see where it starts."

[21:55] <+Nym_Gibran> "Your a very astute man Captain. They are called warding cubes by some, though they have many names."
[21:56] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Stops and looks at the mosaic for a moment, eyebrow raised::

[22:14] <~Bynw> *Tara, who is still standing on the mosaic as the images have changed around her looks over at Regan* "You are attempting to scry for something it cannot find ... or doesnt have the ability to find for some reason"
