[20:01] <+Llanth> "His body might arouse suspicion in the village."
[20:01] <+Daine> ::shrugs:: "He is a druid, you sure that's not what they do?"
[20:02] <+Nath> "You may have had issues with the man Daine, but he was a loyal subject of King Karnith. Handpicked for this assignement; he will be buried as befits a member of the King's Men>"
[20:02] <+Daine> ::Shrugs:: "He's just meat now."
[20:03] <+Nath> "As we will all be when our time comes."
[20:05] <+Nym_Gibran> ::frowns at Daine, then addresses Nath:: "We will help with whatever you choose to do with Ceadda's remains."
[20:06] <+Nym_Gibran> "I think it would be wise to finish the ward first, though obviously everyone should be on guard. Captain I would suggest against anymore patrols unless they are in groups of two or three."
[20:07] <+Nath> "Agreed and he was not on any patrol that I assigned Master Nym."
[20:07] <+Llanth> "Suspicious."
[20:08] <+Nath> "He often scouted on his own, much like Rus, he felt more comfortable away from cities."
[20:09] <+Nath> "He was a druid and a carin of rocks covering his body would be suitable. Knos, Rus and I can see to it while you are erecting your Ward."
[20:10] <+Nym_Gibran> "From what I can tell Llanth, he meant no malice towards us by being out here. He was simply walking and looking for owlbear tracks."
[20:10] <+Rus> "Aye, he was looking for tracks."
[20:11] <+Llanth> "That at least is reassuring, though it appears that whatever he was looking for found him."
[20:12] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to Nath:: "I will help bury him. My students can continue building the ward."
[20:12] <+Nath> "Knos! Rus! Start gathering suitable rocks, stay together though!"
[20:12] <+Daine> ::Eyes Tara:: "Shall we?"
[20:12] <+Rus> "Aye Captain!"
01[20:13] <~Bynw> *Tara takes Llanth and Daine and continues setting the ward in place. She completes the task in about half an hour's time.*

06[20:14] * Knos moves off with Rus, gathering rocks
[20:14] <+Nym_Gibran> ::helps gather rocks::
06[20:14] * +Nath also gathers rocks
06[20:17] * +Nath puts his rocks down and arranges Ceadda's body so that the head is west and the feet east, arms and legs akimbo.
[20:19] <+Nym_Gibran> "Why east to west?"
06[20:19] * +Nath builds the cairn so that the body is completely covered but leaves tiny gaps for smaller scavengers.
[20:20] <+Nath> "So he faces the sunrise, the source of life for all plants and ultimately all of nature's creatures."
[20:23] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods:: "Just curious."
[20:24] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks down at the completed cairn:: "We should head back to the tavern and warn the others. It wont be safe out here at night."
[20:24] <+Nath> "Agreed Master Nym"
06[20:26] * +Nath bows his head and says quietly "May your soul find the place it seeks as your body now is returned to the cycle of life."
[20:26] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to Nath and begins walking back to the tavern::
06[20:26] * Knos bows his head
01[20:27] <~Bynw> *Tara comes up to Nym* "The ward is in place. But if Ceadda was killed by a Uthani cultist, this ward wont do us any good."
06[20:27] * +Rus bows his head and makes an odd gesture "The cycle continues, safe journey my friend."
[20:27] <+Daine> ::Finishes the Ward and heads back to the Tavern as well::
06[20:28] * +Nath turns and heads back to the tavern "Back to the tavern!"
06[20:29] * Knos follows, walking alonside Rus
[20:30] <+Nym_Gibran> ::To Tara:: "Yes I know. It might be to our advantage for me to build a ward around the tavern tonight, but I can't protect everyone at all times forever."
[20:37] <+Daine> ::Walks into the tavern and takes a table::
[20:39] <+Nym_Gibran> ::opens the door to the tavern and heads upstairs::
06[20:40] * +Llanth heads to a table and orders tea for himself and something strong for Tara and motions for her to join him.
06[20:41] * +Nath enters and takes a table in a corner "Barkeep, A round for the tavern on me!"
06[20:41] * +Risira looks curiously at Nath.
06[20:41] * Knos sits down and swaps stories of Ceadda with Nath for afew hours.
06[20:43] * +Nath looks at Risira. "I would celebrate teh man's life... so I will buy a round of whatever anyone is drinking and then I will swap stories with anyone who knew or cares to hear of his life."
[20:43] <+Risira> "Whose life?"
[20:43] <+Nath> "Ceadda's"
06[20:44] * +Risira looks shocked. "Ceadda?! He's dead?"
06[20:44] * +Nath looks at Risira "I am afraid that Ceadda perished in the line of duty Risra."
06[20:45] * +Risira bows her head in respect. "You buried him already?"
[20:45] <+Nath> "Aye"
[20:46] <+Risira> "Then there is nothing more to do.  His belongings, I suppose, should go back to the druid chieftain."
06[20:47] * +Rus orders plain water "Captain, I will retire for the night. I have lost a friend and I would meditate on his place on the next turn o the wheel."
[20:48] <+Nath> "Aye Risira. When the mission is concluded I will be attending to that sad task."
06[20:51] * +Risira nods and sips her tea.
[20:52] <+Daine> ::Orders something to eat and drink before bed. He refrains from comment on Ceadda::
06[20:56] * +Risira finishes her tea, has a bite to eat, and goes to her bed in Onora's room.
01[20:56] <~Bynw> *morning comes to the village. the 2nd that the king's men and the anadari have shared. no attacks have been made over night
[20:57] <+Daine> ::Comes down with a yawn, as usual still dressing as he goes::
06[20:57] * +Risira rises with the sun, dresses in a sedate blue linen dress, combs and braids her hair, and goes to the taproom for breakfast and tea.
06[20:58] * +Nath comes down, slightly bleary eyed but otherwise alert.
06[20:58] * +Llanth sits at a table watching the sun slowly creeping into the windows first, and then across the floor and then the tables.
[20:59] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Comes down, fully dressed, packed, and ready to go::
01[20:59] <~Bynw> *Regan follows Nym down*
06[20:59] * +Rus enters from outside and takes a seat at Nath's table.
06[20:59] * +Risira sits with Nath and Rus and orders a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of tea.
06[20:59] * Knos comes down yawning and orders a hearty breakfast.
01[21:01] <~Bynw> *Tara comes in from outside* "Well nothing triggered the ward last night."
06[21:01] * +Nath glances at Nym "Leaving us so soon? Or have you a lead to follow?"
[21:02] <+Daine> ::Yawns, to Tara:: "Must have already gotten what they wanted."
[21:02] <+Nym_Gibran> ::To Nath:: "I'm afraid we will be leaving."
[21:04] <+Nath> "Good hunting Master Nym."
[21:05] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks around at the assembled Apprentices:: "Myself and the apprentices. I do have a lead on the Matrix I'm looking for."
[21:06] <+Llanth> "All of us?"
[21:07] <+Nath> "If that lead wil give a chance of catching the ones responsible for the attacks; I would accompany you."
[21:07] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to Llanth:: "I don't think anything else will bring these killers out of hiding."
[21:08] <+Nym_Gibran> ::To Nath:: "Your welcome to join us."
[21:08] <+Nath> "Knos! Rus! Pack! We move out shortly!"
[21:09] <+Risira> "I should collect my things also, Captain?"
[21:10] <+Nath> "Of course! I don't give you orders in the same tone."
06[21:11] * +Risira smiles shyly and bows to Nath before returning to Onora's room to collect her personal belongings and her Healer's satchel.
06[21:11] * Knos finishes his meal and heads upstiars returning momentarily with his gear.
06[21:12] * +Nath goes upstairs and returns bearing his small pack
[21:12] <+Daine> ::moves quickly packing what little gear he has::
[21:12] <+Rus> "I am ready to go Captain"
06[21:13] * +Taenor packs what little he carries and returns
06[21:13] * +Llanth gets a flask filled with hot teaand wraps it in a blanket and tosses it in his pack.
06[21:14] * +Risira returns to the taproom with one saddlebag of clothing and other personal items in her hand, ready to be packed onto her horse, and her Healer's satchel slung diagonally across her body.
[21:15] <+Daine> ::Returns, all his things on him and wearing his Anadari apprentice robes::
[21:15] <+Risira> ::quietly, to Nath::  "All I have to do is put my saddlebag on my horse and I'm ready to leave when you are, Captain."
[21:16] <+Nath> "Master Nym we await your word. All we need do is get the horses."
06[21:16] * +Nath looks to Rus "I trust they are ready?"
[21:17] <+Rus> "Aye Captain! I will see to the saddles now!"
06[21:17] * +Rus exits
[21:17] <+Nym_Gibran> "get your horses, we leave immedietly."
[21:18] <+Nath> "Risira, Knos let us help Rus"
[21:19] <+Risira> "Aye Captain."
[21:19] <Knos> "Aye Captain"
06[21:19] * +Nath leads the way to teh stables.
[21:20] <+Nym_Gibran> "Regan, get your horse and take the lead."
01[21:20] <~Bynw> *Regan* "Yes Master Nym"
06[21:20] * +Risira goes straight to her own horse, which Rus has already saddled, packs her saddlebag onto the back of the saddle, checks that her tent is still secured, and goes to see what other help might be needed.
01[21:20] <~Bynw> *he goes out and saddles up his horse*
06[21:21] * +Nath goes out and saddles his horse while Rus is finisshing up Knos' saddle.
[21:22] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Walks outside to gather everyone together::
06[21:22] * +Risira goes to Rus. "Do you need any help?"
[21:22] <+Daine> ::follows Nym::
[21:22] <+Rus> "No thank you. but you can lead my horse outside."
[21:23] <+Risira> "Very well."  Risira takes the reins of Rus' horse and her own mare and leads them out of the stable.
06[21:23] * Knos checks the various weapons hanging off the harness of his horse and then mounts up.
06[21:24] * +Nath mounts up and heads outside
06[21:24] * +Risira waits for Rus, still holding the reins of both horses.
06[21:24] * Knos follows Nath with Rus apparently talking to Knos' horse in low tones
[21:25] <+Nym_Gibran> ::To Tara, lowers his voice:: "We were close before. Very close. It will take weeks to travel over land."
06[21:26] * +Rus mounts up
06[21:26] * +Risira mounts her horse and settles her very full skirts over the horse's rump.
[21:29] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks around at the assembled crowd:: "Regan has found the location of the matrix, though at great peril to his own life ." ::says the last with a look at Regan::
06[21:30] * +Nath nods
[21:32] <+Nym_Gibran> "All of these killings seem to be tied to the hunt for the matrix somehow, though I'm not entirely sure how. I must attend to this immediately. The distance to it would take weeks to travel...by land."
[21:32] <+Nath> "Regan sems to be a bit reckless in that area."
06[21:32] * Knos pales slightly
01[21:33] <~Bynw> *Regan looks over at the Captain but doesnt say anything*
06[21:33] * +Rus looks a t Master Nym with interest
[21:35] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to Nath and glances to Regan before he continues:: "We may not have weeks with a killer like the one that took Ceadda yesterday targeting us."
[21:35] <+Nym_Gibran> "We would most certainly lose a number of us on that journey. So we must move faster than that."
[21:36] <+Nym_Gibran> "We must move by Magic."
06[21:36] * Knos pales even further
06[21:36] * +Risira 's blue eyes widen dramatically but she says nothing.
06[21:37] * +Taenor simply nods.
06[21:37] * +Nath looks curious but simply nods
06[21:37] * +Rus smile
[21:38] <+Nym_Gibran> "I can carry three. Myself and the smallest two of you."
[21:38] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks to Tara:: "How many can you take?"
01[21:41] <~Bynw> *Tara looks at the group* "If you take 3 ... that leaves 7 of us left." *she sighs* "I might be able to do that in one trip."
06[21:43] * +Rus looks startled and looks at Tara in awe
[21:43] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to her, respect showing in his eyes::
06[21:43] * +Risira 's eyes widen further as she regards Tara but she still says nothing.
06[21:43] * +Nath looks at Tara thoughtfully
06[21:43] * Knos gulps
[21:45] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks around at the others:: "I don't think the mounts will be an option. You'll have to put them up in the stable. We may be gone for sometime, I don't know how long. Perhaps a week, maybe more."
01[21:46] <~Bynw> "Master Nym is correct." *Tara says* "The horses will have to stay behind. Board them in the stables here. I'll pay."
[21:46] <+Nath> "That should not be a problem Master Nym"
06[21:47] * +Nath dismounts "Unsaddle your horses I will arrange board."
06[21:47] * +Risira collects herself, dismounts from her mare, and shakes her skirts into place. She leads the mare back into the stables, takes off the saddlebag and the tent, and begins to loosen the saddle straps.
[21:48] <+Daine> ::Shrugs, having no mount. He simply waits and checks his revolver over::
06[21:49] * Knos dismounts and leads his horse back to the stable
06[21:49] * +Rus dismounts and leads his horse and Nath's to the stables where he proceeds to unsaddle them
01[21:50] <~Bynw> *Regan dismounts and beings softly talking to his horse*
[21:51] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Points to Risira:: "You will come with me please and you as well Regan."
06[21:51] * +Nath enters the stables and returns by the time Knos has rejoined the group.
01[21:52] <~Bynw> *the horses are stabled and Regan comes over to Nym*
06[21:52] * +Risira finishes unsaddling and unbridling her mare, situates the horse comfortably in a stall, straps the saddlebag and tent to her own shoulders and back, and goes back outside the stables.
06[21:53] * +Rus returns "The horses understand we may be gone for some time Captain"
01[21:54] <~Bynw> *Tara* "They'll be fine"
[21:54] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Walks forward a few steps, a second later and his tricon mount appears in a flash of light. The Tricon comes to a halt infront of him and he steps to pet it's neck and speaks to it in a whisper::
06[21:54] * +Nath nods "Now then Tara, what do you need us to do?"
[21:55] <+Daine> ::Steps close to Tara, glancing at the Tricon in wonder::
06[21:57] * +Nath looks at the Tricon in wonder
06[21:57] * +Risira looks over at the Tricon with not a little trepidation.
[21:57] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Turns to look at Risira and Regan:: "This is Iamar, my good friend and traveling companion. Please introduce yourselves, she can understand you."
06[21:58] * +Rus wanders over cautiously admiring the Tricon
06[21:59] * +Risira walks slowly and carefully over to Iamar, extends her hand toward the creature's muzzle, and says quietly, "I am Risira Vel'Drenek, a Healer of Alandar."
01[22:01] <~Bynw> *Iamara lets Risira touch her and gives a quick glance in the direction of Rus*
06[22:02] * +Risira shyly pets Iamar's nose.
06[22:03] * +Rus bows to the Tricon. "I am Master Rus of House Landr. I am pleased to meet you, I have not met an entity like you before."
[22:06] <+Rus> @@PLeased to meet you Iamar, are there other enlightened species such as yourself?@@

[22:08] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Chuckles at Rus, then to Regan:: "Would you mind giving your seat up to Rus student?"
06[22:10] * +Rus has a look of wonder and respect on his face
01[22:12] <~Bynw> *Regan nods* "He can have the seat"
[22:13] <+Rus> "My thanks Regan! It would be an honor Master Nym"
[22:13] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Nods to Regan, then climbs onto Iamar's back::
[22:13] <+Nym_Gibran> "Tara, are you ready?"
06[22:13] * +Risira relaxes a little to have one of her companions with her rather than be alone with the relative stranger Anadari.
01[22:14] <~Bynw> "If I knew exactly where to go ... sure." *Tara says with a bit of a grin towards Nym*
06[22:15] * +Rus climbs onto Iamar's back with great respect and arranges himslef so that Iamar is as comfortable as possible
06[22:15] * +Risira climbs up carefully, arranging her skirts for modesty.
06[22:16] * +Nath looks at Rus with a smile on his face "I think meeting Iamar has made this mission worthwhile for Rus."
06[22:17] * Knos snorts "bah!, a new animal for him to make friends with"
[22:17] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Smiles to Tara:: "Already I've become the forgetful teacher."
01[22:18] <~Bynw> *she smiles back* "The rest of us have to go this way. Everyone gather round. Hold hands and join into a circle"
[22:18] <+Nym_Gibran> ::closes his eyes for a moment, then opens them with a grin::
06[22:18] * +Rus looks at Knos "Iamar is no more an animal than you are Knos."
[22:18] <+Nym_Gibran> "He is right Knos."
06[22:19] * +Nath holds out his hands to either side
[22:19] <Knos> "I will take both your words for it. Looks like a horse with horns is all."
01[22:20] <~Bynw> *Iamar looks at Knos*
[22:20] <+Nym_Gibran> "Does it then Knos."
06[22:20] * +Risira sees this and can't suppress a nervous giggle.
06[22:21] * Knos looks a littel surprised as Iamar looks at him.
[22:21] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Looks to Iamar:: "Let's show him what a fool he is. To the silver realm."
06[22:21] * +Rus chuckles at Knos
06[22:22] * +Nath takes Tara's hand and holds his hand out to Knos "Knos! Quit insulting Master Nym, Rus and Iamar."
01[22:22] <~Bynw> *Iamar shakes her mane and walks around those remaining a bit, getting used to the extra weight she is carring, slowly picking up speed as she goes to a trott*
[22:22] <+Daine> ::gathers next to Tara and grabs her hand:: "Going to be a bumpy ride like the transfer portals?"
01[22:23] <~Bynw> *then Iamar makes a wider arch around the rest of the men and enters a full gallop. heading straight for Knos*
06[22:23] * Knos stares at Iamar with a dubious expression ad he tales hold of Nath's hand and hold out his hand for the next person.
[22:23] <+Nym_Gibran> ::grins wickedly::
01[22:24] <~Bynw> *head down, with the 3 horns pointing straight at him*
06[22:24] * Knos drops Nath's hand and dives aside
06[22:24] * +Risira clutches Iamar's back as she picks up speed.
[22:24] <Knos> roll 4df for agility
[22:24] <+BoxCars> Knos rolls 4df for agility and gets ( )(-)( )(-) Poor
06[22:25] * +Nath looks at teh scene with some concern. "Master Nym?"
06[22:26] * Knos slips on a patch of dew slicked grass and fall face first into the dirt!
01[22:26] <~Bynw> *before Knos can move out of the way the galloping creature is almost on him and vanishes in flash of silvery moonlight in broad day. Nym and the other riders are no where to be seen and Knos on the ground*
[22:26] <+Nym_Gibran> ::Lets loose a whooping battle cry and continues to grin wickedly:: "Animal indeed!"
06[22:27] * +Rus laughs mightily
06[22:27] * +Nath gazes in wonder at the spot where Iamar vanished.
06[22:28] * +Risira giggles nervously.
06[22:28] * +Daine joins Rus in laughing
06[22:28] * Knos gets up and dusts himself off and syas to teh air "Ok point taken!"
06[22:29] * Knos takes Nath's hand
[22:29] <+Daine> "Our turn."
01[22:29] <~Bynw> *Tara* "What a show off. Gather round everyone"
[22:30] <+Nath> "You may not beleive in Ru's faith but you should have faith in his ability to judge the creatures of teh earth."
06[22:30] * +Taenor gathers closeby
[22:30] <Knos> "aye Captain, I forget."
[22:31] <+Daine> ::Gathers and takes Tara'a hand:: "This is the fun part. Knos you ever seen someone turned inside out?"
01[22:31] <~Bynw> "Tricon's arent Captain." *Tara says taking the hands of Daine on oneside and Llanth on the other*
[22:32] <Knos> "Aye, I saw a torturer do it once... skinned a man and then trned the skin inside out
[22:33] <+Nath> "You mean Iamar is not from Teara-adan?"
01[22:33] <~Bynw> *Tara* "everyone ready now ... hold tight. If you let go ... well you will get lost"
[22:33] <+Nath> "or not from this world at all?"
06[22:34] * +Nath grasps each hand tightly
[22:34] <+Daine> ::To Knos:: "You know they say every once in awhile it happens during one of these things. No one knows why..."
06[22:34] * Knos holds on for dear life

06[22:34] * Knos turns very pale
[22:34] <+Daine> "You didn't eat this morning did you Knos?"
06[22:35] * Knos gulps and breaths slowly and deeply
