[19:51:47] <~Bynw> *Regan is wide-eyed, breathing hard and in a cold sweat when Daine arrives

[19:52:34] * +Llanth waits for a report from the others.

[19:53:13] * +Taenor walks in and starts checking Regan's pulse.

[19:53:27] * +Nath waits outside and motions Knos to a guard position

[19:53:51] * +Knos nods and takes up a position so he can the approaches to the room

[19:54:10] * +Taenor looks up to Risira, "Check and see if anything else is wrong with him while I test other things."

[19:54:28] <~Bynw> *he looks at everyone as they start to enter* "I'm alright ... "

[19:54:30] * +Risira passes by Knos and stands behind Taenor, then nods to his remark. She begins examining Regan thoroughly.

[19:57:01] <~Bynw> "I saw something ... I dont know if it was a dream or a vision. But it was ... unspeakably dark and evil." *he closes his eyes* "Its also fading away"

[19:57:40] * +Nath pokes his head in and looks at Master Nym with a questioning look

[19:57:50] * +Risira is meanwhile palpating Regan's abdomen, listening to his chest, and generally checking him over.

[19:59:01] * +Taenor looks at him. "Let me see if we can find out what it was. Don't resist me."

[19:59:58] * +Taenor places his hand behind Reagan's neck and closes his eyes, concentrating.

[20:12:00] <+Daine> ::sniffs at Regan:: "You brought us here over a bad dream?"

[20:12:25] * +Taenor grabs Daine's wrist and shows him what he saw.

[20:12:38] * +Nath says nothing but continues watching Master Nym expectantly

[20:13:03] * +Llanth shouts up the stairs "Everything allright?"

[20:13:25] * +Risira digs in her satchel and pulls out an herbal concoction to calm the mind and body, should she and Taenor decide Regan needs it.

[20:13:50] * +Knos shouts back "It would appear so... but I know nothing of these matters!"

[20:14:33] <+Risira> ::softly:: "Taenor, do you want me to give him something to calm him down a little?"

[20:15:07] <+Taenor> "Not yet, please. It may interfere with the Master."

[20:15:23] <+Risira> "Very well.  I have it right here in my hand, in case we need it."

[20:17:28] <+Daine> ::Blinks as the images fill his head::

[20:21:04] <+Daine> ::shrugs:: "Makes no sense to me, it's just a dream."

[20:21:30] <+Master_Nym> ::Pulls back from Regan, his face thoughtful:: "It is more than a dream."

[20:22:00] <~Bynw> *Tara comes up to Llanth* "Its almost dark. Are you coming with me?"

[20:22:14] <+Llanth> "Yes."

[20:22:39] * +Taenor nods to Risira, indicating Reagan.

[20:22:42] * +Rus glances at teh Tara and Llanth

[20:24:58] <+Master_Nym> "I would like to try something Student. If you are willing, open your mind to me."

[20:25:17] * +Risira goes to the small fireplace in the room to heat water for a calming tea.

[20:37:17] * +Taenor takes Risira by the hand leads her out after setting the cup near Nym. He closes the door behind him.

[20:37:48] * +Risira looks up at Taenor and tries to withdraw her hand as she heads downstairs.

[20:37:54] * +Nath lloks startled "Master Nym, Knos and I are not trained in magic"

[20:38:52] * +Taenor lets her. "A drink will settle both of us. Join me?"

[20:39:10] <+Master_Nym> ::Looks to Nath:: "Yes but she can use your strength, all your men's strength."

[20:39:26] <+Risira> "I will take a cup of tea, but I do not drink strong drinks."

[20:41:33] <+Nath> "Tara Master Nym suggested that we accompany you in case you need our strength. Rus where is Ceadda?"

[20:42:45] * +Rus shakes his head "I do not know Captain."

[20:43:20] * +Daine his hand absently touches his gun hilt, it seems to be a totally unconscious gesture

[20:49:20] <~Bynw> *Tara talking with Daine and Llanth* "So lets head out about 100 yards from the village .. that should be far enough"

[20:52:42] <+Daine> "Isn't Ceadda supposed to be under your command Captain? He should be around. Seems quite suspiscious to me." ::looks to Nath pointedly::

[20:53:04] <+Daine> ::Follows the others, trailing the group and near Nath::

[20:55:05] <+Master_Nym> ::Bends to concentrate on the task, his hand on the sleeping Regan's head, his eyes closed, his breathing slows, and he takes a seat on the bed next to him::

[20:55:15] <~Bynw> *Tara looks at the large group following her and stops.*

[20:57:22] <+Daine> ::pulls up and stops, looking up at Tara expectantly::

[21:00:16] <~Bynw> *Tara* "I think we have too many people here. We don't want to attract attention of the villagers"

[21:00:54] <+Daine> ::folds his arms over his chest and starts looking at the others, not moving an inch himself::

[21:01:16] * +Taenor looks at Risira. "Are you curious about any of what happened?"

[21:01:30] * +Nath looks at Tara. "That may be wise but Master Nym thought you might need to borrow our strength. I would be remiss in my duty of protecting the villagers if I did not offer."

[21:01:50] <+Risira> "Absolutely, but it may not be my place to know such things.  I am on this mission to Heal, not to gather information."

[21:02:59] <~Bynw> *Tara* "There is no strength that I will need to actually borrow from another Captain."

[21:03:06] <+Taenor> "True. I would need to ask my Master, but some of it should be ok to tell you."

[21:03:50] * +Risira sips her tea and smiles shyly.

[21:05:20] <~Bynw> "Daine" *tara addresses her attention* "I want you to scout the permeter of the village ... about 100 yards out. If you think you need any of the Captain's men take them. Just make sure no one is out there right now."

[21:05:40] * +Taenor grins openlly, but tries to hide it

[21:05:50] * +Taenor sobers.

[21:07:57] <+Daine> ::Nods to Tara:: "Captain, would you?"

[21:08:17] <+Taenor> "The dream he had disturbed him, and well it should. It would not mean much to Non-Anadari, but it could. It disturbed him deeply, and seeing it has disturbed me as well. From Master Nym's reaction, it disturbed him as well. And it is likely that the dream was more than just a dream."

[21:09:09] <+Nath> "Certainly Daine. Knos and Rus follow Tara's directions."

[21:09:15] <+Risira> ::softly:: "I gather that you Anadari do not scare easily.  For this many of you to be so disturbed, it must indeed be frightening."

[21:12:17] <+Taenor> "It was, darling. It was. I wish I could tell you more, but I need to ask the master first."

[21:12:58] * +Risira blushes. "Perhaps I do not need to know."

[21:13:41] <~Bynw> *Tara* "Llanth ... you can help me with a things. The rest of you. Keep anyone from coming up on us"

[21:13:55] <+Taenor> "You are part of this enterprise now, as are your companions. You have a right to know, but I should still ask first."

[21:14:38] <+Risira> "Very well.  Let Master Nym decide who needs to know what."

[21:14:49] * +Knos moves to place himself between Tara and the village and motions for Rus to watch the other side of Tara and Llanth

[21:15:44] * +Rus nods and moves so that Tara and Llanth are between him and Knos and focuses his attention away from the village

[21:16:45] <+Daine> ::Waves Nath to follow and sets out at a loping jog that eats distance quickly. Obviously a practiced runner:: "Let's go Captain."

[21:17:20] * +Nath follows Daine at an easy jog.

[21:18:06] * +Nath noting the strides of Daine, he lengthens his strides so as to keep up.

[21:19:55] <+Daine> ::his eyes move back and forth as he moves, scanning the country side::

[21:26:33] <+Daine> ::His eyes lock-on something in the dark and his hand dips to his pistol. In a flash the revolver is in his hand. He stops cold, his back to a tree. He waves Nath over silently::

[21:27:10] * +Nath stops quietly also drawing his pistol. He looks around cautiously

[21:28:57] <+Daine> ::Whispers:: "Something on the ground, that way." ::waves with his pistol:: "Looked like a body."

[21:29:23] <~Bynw> *Tara and Llanth beginging to walk a circle around the village. Stopping at 8 compass points leaving behind a gemstones of various types ... they are not too far behind Daine and Nath in their movements*

[21:29:41] <+Daine> ::Waves Nath to follow and steps out from behind the tree, moving slowly toward what he'd seen earlier, using trees for cover as best as possible::

[21:30:47] * +Nath parallels Daine's course, trying to keep in a differnet sight line than Daine.

[21:40:04] * +Llanth starts out running towards Daine quietly being careful of his foot falls.

[21:40:17] <~Bynw> *Tara reaches out and grabs Llanth and whispers a word of power and they both blink from their present location and arrive within a few feet of Daine*

[21:40:19] <+Daine> ::Raises his hand, a ball of purple energy ignites in the palm of his hand and drifts up to float behind his head and illuminating the area::

[21:41:02] * +Llanth staggers slightly at the sudden jump of position.

[21:41:22] <~Bynw> *Tara smiles at Llanth* "Fun wasn't it."

[21:41:38] <+Llanth> "You have got to teach me that."

[21:41:39] * +Nath kneels as the hand fire flares to examine the body more closely.

[21:41:59] <+Daine> ::Staggers a step in surprise as Tara and Llanth suddenly pop into existance next to him, his hand instinctively points his pistol at them for a heartbeat before he holsters it:: "Damn!"

[21:42:43] * +Nath glances up at Daine's exclamation "What the.... How did you do that?!?!?!"

[21:42:49] * +Llanth looks down. "Hmm our druid..."

[21:43:24] <~Bynw> *Tara blinks* "Don't be so jumpy"

[21:44:52] <+Daine> ::frowns at Tara:: "yeah dead body, dark forest, owlbears, insane druids, I'm so very sorry I'm a bit nervous."

[21:45:24] * +Nath examines the position of the body and the ground nearby.

[21:45:38] <+Nath> "I need Knos and Risira

[21:45:40] <+Nath> "

[21:46:07] <~Bynw> *Tara* "Master Nym should be told"

[21:46:45] <+Daine> "Can someone read his last moments? It doesn't look like he even knew who his killers was, but it might help."

[21:47:10] <+Daine> "Captain, can you tell when he died?"

[21:47:37] <~Bynw> *Tara looks at the ground around them* "He put up a struggle once he realized he was attacked"

[21:49:53] <+Nath> "Rus should be able to follow these tracks.. anmd whover did this will have blood on his clothes."

[21:52:02] <+Daine> ::Looks to Nath:: "Captain, I've no quarrel with you and don't wish to anger you but this seems to indicate Ceadda knew something that our enemies didn't want us to know. Or had outlived his usefulness to them. Either way I don't think this paints a good picture of Ceadda."

[21:52:09] <+Llanth> "If he had clothes."

[21:52:40] * +Rus kneels and examines the tracks

[21:53:05] <+Rus> "The attacker wore boots>"

[21:54:00] * +Rus moves around following some tracks

[21:54:01] <+Daine> ::To Rus:: "like any of ours?"

[21:54:24] * +Rus glances at Daine "Yes as a matter of fact."

[21:55:12] * +Rus rubs his left ear and moves to the body glancing at Nath and then Daine.

[21:55:56] <+Rus> "See this print here? It was made by the attacker as ther is blood pooled on top of it"

[21:57:00] * +Nath listens to Rus as he scratches his left ear and looks at Knos and then back to Rus and Daine.

[21:57:35] * +Knos moves so he can see everyone and scans teh area alertly his pistol drawn.

[21:58:13] <+Daine> ::Looks at the print, then everyone's boots and shoes looking for a match::

[21:58:23] * +Rus moves following some tracks and points at another boot print.

[21:58:51] <+Rus> "This print is the same pattern and is your boot print Daine."

[21:59:13] <~Bynw> *Tara closes her eyes and sends out a mental call to Nym* @@ "Ceadda is dead" @@

[22:01:41] <+Nath> "Well here is the trick Captain. The bootprints of the attacker vanish over there. Just like the Owlbears do. So It cannot have been Daine."

[22:01:48] <+Daine> "Put your weapons away you fools, your Captain is right. I've never been alone all day."

[22:02:18] <+Daine> "The boots are of Uthani make. That is why the patterns match."

[22:03:49] * +Knos relaxes and puts up his pistol

[22:04:30] <+Llanth> "Glad you did that Knos, I would have hated to have put an arrow through your skull."

[22:04:46] <+Rus> "The tracks that vanish are only an hour old."

[22:05:03] * +Llanth relaxes his draw on his bow and reslings it.

[22:05:12] <+Nath> "Daine was definitely with us during that period."

[22:05:24] * +Nath holsters his pistol.

[22:06:07] * +Knos shrugs at Llanth. "Maybe, hazard of out profession>"

[22:07:12] <+Llanth> "On another note, can we go at least one day without pulling weapons on each other? I am afraid some of you humans are going to hurt yourselves."

[22:07:57] * +Nath smiles "As Knos said a hazrd of our profession."

[22:08:22] <+Daine> "If the tracks are only an hour old, how long has Ceadda been dead?"

[22:08:34] <+Daine> "And what do you suppose he was doing out here?"

[22:09:03] <~Bynw> *Tara* "I would assume within that same time" *she goes over to the body and puts her hands on his head*

[22:17:43] * +Rus looks at Nath "Aye Captain" he conjures a small ball of green fire and sets it hovering at his knee level and starts following Ceadda's tracks

[22:23:34] <+Master_Nym> "Ceadda's purpose here was not hostile though. He seems to have been just taking a walk and looking for signs of owlbears"

[22:23:46] <+Nath> "I would say if not the same, they have access to the same magic as Master Nym and Tara do."

[22:25:56] <+Master_Nym> "Well he wasn't robbed. It seems he was a threat to our enemy of some kind."

[22:25:59] <+Nath> "Ceadda appears to have all his gear so he was not attacked out of greed."
