[20:29:59] <+Nath> "well I have been through these woods patrolling for some time.. I was hoping to try and deduce a pattern to these attacks."

[20:34:27] <+Regan> "We were thinking of using a ruse of rebuilding a logging camp here in order do lure him out, as Llanth rightly pointed out. That would also allow us to covertly use this sight as a base of operations to gather information."

[20:37:14] <+Regan> "But it is very possible that he attacked this village purposely, and made other attacks to cover the importance of the first attack."
[20:37:57] <+Nath> "If the loging is really the cause... the logging should be obviously meant to be logging and not a trap... perhaps rebuilding the nearby village??
[20:37:59] <+Kagi> ::Over hears the conversation and comes down out of the cave to join the others::
[20:39:56] <+Kagi> ::Meets Nath's eyes defiantly:: "Perhaps it would be best to anticipate the druid's next move and find the largest standing logging camp in these nearby mountains?"

[20:40:44] * +Nath meets Daine's eyes calmly. "That is a sound idea."
[20:40:55] <~Bynw> *Ceadda to Regan* "What would be the importance of the first attack? It was a simple logging camp from all the records available."
[20:41:42] * +Regan rolls his eyes. "If we knew that, we wouldn't be standing around asking why?"
[20:41:53] <+Nath> "I agree, nothing other than they all occurred near the border.. and all the camps and villages would have some logging activity."
[20:42:00] <+Daine> "How can we be sure where he struck first? Was Regan's camp first? How could we be sure?"
[20:43:03] <+Regan> "Because, Daine, I would have heard about it before my attack I believe." he says with a smile
[20:43:09] <+Daine> "My only theory is that this druid has come and staked claim to these woods, he is expelling trespassors."
[20:43:37] <+Daine> ::Looks to Regan:: "Ar you sure?"
[20:43:39] <+Nath> "Tirl and Rus have confirmed that this village was the first attack."
[20:44:16] <+Daine> ::Nods:: "Then I would say it's likely that he has made his base near that site."
[20:44:37] <+Regan> "True, that makes sense. But my gut feeling is there was another reason. This logging camp was well established through the years. So, why now?"
[20:44:44] <+Nath> "That was whjy I was headed to the caves.."
[20:44:53] <+Daine> "Do the attacks seem centered on that point, but all along the boarder?"
[20:46:46] <+Nath> "Yes they were centred on that village."
[20:48:00] * +Regan turns to Ceadda. "Do the druids in this area communicate regurally? Like some sort of guild, or a they mostly independant of each other?"
[20:48:14] <+Nath> "However as Ceadda indicated that village was unremarkable to our knowledge. We spotted no lairs  nearby when we went through."
[20:49:25] <~Bynw> *Ceadda* "There are at least a dozen clans within Alandar and probably the same within Alaknar."
[20:51:26] <+Daine> ::Looks to Nath:: "We camped in that area, their are caves nearby, many of them. A great place for the druid to hide."
[20:51:43] <+Nath> "I think that Daine's theory is worth following up. We did not do a thoroughg search of the area after we saw the tracks vanish."
[20:52:10] * +Nath nods "Which is why I came here... failing to see a pattern to the attacks."
[20:52:49] <+Nath> "I thought the caves a likely hiding spot."
[20:53:21] <+Daine> ::Again to Nath in Cana:: "Are any of your men trackers? Could any of the deryni of your group use their influence to find him?"
[20:54:24] <+Daine> "He is likely shapeshifted when he moves about."
[20:54:29] * +Regan looks to Ceadda again: "Are you able to communicate with these "clans" expeditiously?"
[20:54:31] <+Nath> "Rus is a superb tracker and so is Tirl. None of us are Deryni except the Healer and I Rus maybe.. many of his House are.""
[20:55:44] <+Daine> "Then I believe we should check those caves, it's a good place to start."

[20:56:17] <+Nath> "The problem is it would take months to search the caves... There are many of them."
[20:56:30] * +Risira ducks her head shyly. "I am here to Heal, not to lead. If you think we should check the caves for hiding places, then let us check the caves."
[20:57:10] * +Nath smiles "I meant do you think your abilities could help us find this Chadwick in some way?"
[20:57:53] <+Regan> "I am a fair tracker, I could lend a hand if you think it prudent." he says to Daine and Nath.
[20:57:53] <~Bynw> *Ceadda* "My own clan claims the woods of the Kingdom of Weavion. Other clans in other kingdoms. Some have more than one clan. There is communication between clans. It is not my place to initiate them."
[20:57:54] <+Risira> "I will do what I can, of course."
[20:58:16] <+Taenor> "Beyond what any of the rest of us could, a Healer's Healing abilities would not aid in the search, except for if someone is injured."
[20:59:09] <+Nath> "I am sure that you have thought of this Ceadda, but what of the animals? Could they provide us a lead?"
[20:59:23] <+Regan> ?me turns back to Ceadda. "What I meant druid, can you communicate with them and find out if they know of this druid?"
[21:00:02] <+Risira> "But I have been primarily trained as a Healer; my other Deryni skills are mediocre at best, because my schola concentrated on Healing."

[21:01:48] <~Bynw> "I've spoken to a few already. Most only remember the creatures that attacked the camps. Our animal friends are simple folk with short memories." *Ceadda says to Nath*

Once it was discovered in me, almost all of my studies were concentrated on Healing, both the esoteric and the mundane. My latter skills only came about because of what happened to my family."

[21:10:27] <+Regan> "You seem to not want to be "Forthcoming". Do you have secrets that you must keep from us in order to delay our reactions or movements?"

[21:12:22] <~Bynw> "My patrols today haven't been fruitful My Lord. The creatures around this area now have forgotten the attack that took place and do not know of anyone sleeping in the caves."

[21:13:55] <+Nath> "I am sure based on MY past experience with Ceadda that he would have told us.. I asked him to confirm so that you would not feel he was withholding. He only speaks when he has information to give."

[21:18:30] * +Regan turns to Ceadda: "You haven't But in my present frame of mind, I have little trust and much doubt of druids at the moment. If I seem to push, it is out of the loss of my friend from an attack by another of your kind. Pardon my skepticism....druid." said with a sincere bow.
[21:21:27] * +Regan turns to Nath: " I believe at least a search of the immediate caves in this area would at least be prudent."
[21:21:30] <+Daine> ::Puts his hand on Regan's shoulder and leans into his ear so as not to be overheard:: "We have just shamed them by pointing out their needless grudge against Uthani Anadari, now you shame us by doing the same of druids. Stop this madness."
[21:22:48] <+Daine> "have you learned nothing in your time at the fortress?" ::Leans away and from Regan, but keeps his eyes on him.::
[21:23:59] * +Regan leans back to Daine. "These people are my countrymen. They are not easily shamed. The druid however was my point of shame. I figure he might get riled and say something. But, you are correct, I've pushed enough."

[21:25:39] * +Nath looks at the sky "we have about a half day of light left.. Shall we commence?"
