[19:26:15] <.Bynw> ** the pennensula of the Warp Wood territory.
[19:26:17] <.Bynw> **
[19:26:18] <.Bynw> ** There, Antillies has been promised
[19:26:19] <.Bynw> ** a military command, something that was 
[19:26:21] <.Bynw> ** lost to him in Deban. 
[19:26:22] <.Bynw> **
[19:26:23] <.Bynw> ** The band of adventurers travels southward
[19:26:25] <.Bynw> ** towards Warp Wood. A journey that takes
[19:26:26] <.Bynw> ** close to a month across the plains
[19:26:27] <.Bynw> ** of the Territories. A hot, and humid
[19:26:28] <.Bynw> ** trip with little in the way of shade
[19:26:30] <.Bynw> ** while travelling, save for an inn
[19:26:31] <.Bynw> ** or barn along the way over many days.
[19:26:32] <.Bynw> **
[19:26:34] <.Bynw> ** Warp Wood, itself is on the coastline,
[19:26:35] <.Bynw> ** in the fly riddled marshlands. There
[19:26:36] <.Bynw> ** are no permanent stone buildings, as
[19:26:38] <.Bynw> ** it would be a full time job just to
[19:26:39] <.Bynw> ** keep them free of mildew and other
[19:26:40] <.Bynw> ** growths from the swampy lands.
[19:26:42] <.Bynw> **
[19:26:43] <.Bynw> ** The "palace" itself, is the only building
[19:26:44] <.Bynw> ** on dry ground. All others are built
[19:26:46] <.Bynw> ** on stilts above the water of the marsh.
[19:26:47] <.Bynw> **
[19:26:48] <.Bynw> ** Antillies and the others are expected
[19:26:49] <.Bynw> ** and met by Lord Merriam who was in
[19:26:51] <.Bynw> ** at the Feast last month in Deban.

[19:30:08] <+Antilles> "Consider these my trusted Lieutenants, Lord Merriam... they are they Lady Charissa, Sir Coch, Sir Jack, and Sir Kevin."

[19:31:06] <.Bynw> "Now if you would all come with me .." *he leads them into the palace, which is really a white washed building*

[19:34:53] <+Antilles> "A magnificent palace, Lord Merriam."
[19:35:33] <.Bynw> *2 other men rise as Lord Merriam and the party enter, these too are in their later years. sitting on the throne itself is a very old man - white haired, wrinkled skin, swollen eyes due to any number of things - he appears to be asleep*
[19:35:58] * +Antilles uses his Diplomacy to enter into parley with Lord Merriam and the others.

[20:05:51] * +Charissa smiles and nods to the King..."Aye, Your Majesty...all but one are here."
[20:06:47] <.Bynw> *he looks at Jack* "Yes my son. the priest i you are the priest, the one with the sacred calling." *he shakes abit more and wets his lips again*

[20:08:09] <.Bynw> "and the swordmaster" *he looks at Antilles* "and the ranger" *he says as his eyes move over Coch*
[20:08:18] <+Jack> "Yes, I have a calling.  Never thought of myself as a priest, but that's one way of thinking of it, I guess."
[20:08:27] <.Bynw> *again he shakes and starts into a coughing fit*
[20:09:00] <+Antilles> :: bares his teeth.. unsure of what he could do to help the ailing king ::
[20:09:39] * +Charissa moves forward, alarmed, "Your Majesty!" looks at Lord Miriam: "I can try to ease his pain"

[20:11:08] * +Jack raises a eyebrow at Merriam, but says nothing.
[20:12:28] <.Bynw> *the king wets his lips again* "And there is also the Master at ... special needs" *he says with an almost toothless smile as he looks at Kevin*
[20:12:49] <.Bynw> "And there is the fine flower of the court" *he says looking at Charissa*

[20:18:20] <.Bynw> *the king nods abit and looks down towards the floor* "You are all here because of the vision. i knew you would come. make sure my words are passed on to ..." *he coughs again* " .. the astrologer when he arrives"
[20:19:21] * +Antilles looks at Jack as if to say "Is he going to die in front of us?" with his eyes.

[20:20:52] <.Bynw> *the king waves a wild gesture to Merriam beside him who continues* "His Majesty thanks you all for coming. The reason he has asked you to come, is that he is without heirs. His house ends when he passes from the world."

[20:23:01] <+Antilles> "But, how can we provide an heir.. and what of the things you told me in Deban, Lord Merriam?"
[20:23:13] <.Bynw> "Without heirs the kingdom will fall to the Lords of his council to determine his heir and the next king"
[20:24:14] <+Antilles> "Are you not one of the Lords of Council, Merriam?"
[20:26:17] <+Antilles> "You said Altair was vying to usurp your lands.. and one or more of your neighbors as well."
[20:26:54] <+Antilles> "Now, you speak as if this is an internal affair. Which is it, Lord Merriam?"
[20:27:12] <.Bynw> "The 3 of us are the council, there are no others. Warp Wood suffers from a .. lack of progeny amoungst its nobles. The 3 of us and the King are the last."
[20:28:39] <+Antilles> "Alright, I can see your delema.. as far as that goes. But, why have you summoned me.. and my companions here?"
[20:29:46] * +Charissa is standing there a bit shell-shocked at hearing the news
[20:30:09] <.Bynw> "Once we are gone, Warp Wood has no leadership. Once Warp Wood has no leadership. Altair across the bay will send its ecclesiastical troops, the Aman's and will seize the territory. We believe the some forces within the Aman Order have caused are delima and even now hasten it."
[20:30:54] <+Antilles> "And by that you mean, the health of your King."
[20:31:07] * +Jack 's face tenses at the mention of the Amans.
[20:31:39] <.Bynw> *Lord Langen speaks up* "He means the health of us all."
[20:31:57] * +Antilles furrows his brow at the words of Lord Langen
[20:32:17] * +Charissa I CAN help in prolonging your good health
[20:32:35] <+Jack> "You think Aman is using magic against you?"
[20:32:46] <+Antilles> "I understand, Lord Langen. What would you have us do?"
[20:34:55] <.Bynw> *Lord Langen* "Oh not directly. But I'm sure they are behind it."
[20:36:32] <+Antilles> "Who are the Aman, Jack?"
[20:37:03] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "The king had a vision, of the Court of Warp Wood. A strong court of nobles that repelled the invaders and turned around the bad times. A court with a sword master, an astrologer, a ranger, a priest and a master of the arts." *he says looking at Kevin briefly*
[20:37:29] <+Jack> "Well, there's no love between me and the Aman Order.  I'm willing to blame them for anything from crop failure to baldness, but do you have any idea what's been done to cause this situation?"
[20:38:09] <+Jack> "They're a religious order, Antilles."
[20:38:27] <+Antilles> "Aye, I understood that much.."
[20:40:18] <+Antilles> "It will take more information to defeat them, however."

[20:47:57] <.Bynw> *the king waves her off this time and with a stern look* "your skills can only make the passing painless or lost in sleep. i desire neither. there is too much to be done."

[20:51:41] <+Charissa> "there are ways of obtaining that information"
[20:51:43] * +Antilles turns to his friends

[20:52:10] <+Charissa> "I can try to find out who is responsible for this malaise"
[20:52:32] <+Antilles> "Indeed, but, what needs are to be met to do so?"

[20:53:24] * +Charissa smiles: "not much, a bowl, water, some ink and some personal item of the affected nobles"

[20:54:11] <+Charissa> "but, it is not up to you to make it so...I would like His Majesty's permission"
[20:54:37] <.Bynw> "His majesty would like for you to be his guest. there are rooms available for you here. you have travelled many miles and need some rest now."
[20:55:00] <+Charissa> "shall I prepare for the scrying, Lord Merriam?"
[20:55:17] <+Antilles> "Lady Charissa needs items, in order to discern our path.. will you provide them, Lord Merriam?"
[20:55:18] <+Jack> ::to Charissa:: "He's right.  Rest wou;d help before scrying."
[20:55:53] <+Charissa> "agreed Jack, but, if I am to scry, I would like to make the preparations before resting"
[20:56:41] <.Bynw> *Lord Merriam* "Yes anything you require will be given"
[20:56:57] <+Charissa> "aye, and thank you."
[20:57:19] * +Antilles gives a nod to Charissa
[20:57:46] <+Charissa> "items most closely associated with all of you or of sentimental value would be best.  These can wait until it time to start though."
[20:58:03] <.Bynw> *the adventures are escorted from the throne room by one of the guards to their quarters - anything that the need is provided.*
[20:58:16] <+Charissa> "I will start the preparations as soon as I can and then rest.  If that is acceptable to you, my Lords"
[20:59:16] * +Antilles goes to the rooms provided for him. He bathes, then falls into a long and deeply needed rest, from the long travel.

[21:00:41] * +Charissa goes to the room and prepares for the scrying and then rests
[21:01:03] <.Bynw> !! so what does she do to prepare for the scrying
[21:01:07] * +Jack goes to his room and rests a bit, then spends some time in meditation.
[21:01:21] * +Coch Coch cleans himself up and takes a walk about the area outside
[21:01:34] * +Antilles sees to it that his armor is cleaned and his clothes washed.
[21:02:22] <.Bynw> !! outside the confines of the "palace" it is hot, muggy and humid swampland ... within a few yards of the grounds of the palace itself, one needs a boat to get anywhere else in town
[21:02:26] * +Charissa requests a large silver bowl, plain on the inside, water, black ink and items, preferably jewelry associated with the nobles. She also meditates before resting."

[21:05:29] <.Bynw> (( i really think this is a good stopping point for the night, its been close to a 2 hour session and we've had some setbacks due to the connection issue ))
