[19:41:50] <+Seth> "We've got to hurry!" ::he yells to Ryethon as he gets to his feet and begins moving forward again, using his staff to help steady himself::
[19:42:25] * +Jack uses his own cloak to shield and hurries aling with the rest.
[19:43:03] <+Ryethon> *speaks loudly* "Nay Lord Seth, we should walk slowly else we loose our balance and fall."
[19:43:34] <.Bynw> *the wind, rain and bits of hail continue to slow anyone foolish enough to be out of doors during the storm as the Lords finaly make their way to the safety of the Cathedral which is far closer than the tavern should they decide to stop

[19:47:27] <+Ryethon> "Come Lord Seth, if we stop there we will only dread comming back out again."
[19:47:58] <+Seth> ::Nods vigorously to Ryethon:: "Press on."
[19:49:24] <.Bynw> *passing the cathedral by, the lord press on to the tavern ... making it finally after nearly half an hour pushing through the wind, rain, and flooded streets
[19:51:11] <+Seth> ::The door bangs open loudly as he enters, the wind knocking it open. Soaked from head to toe now he shivers like a wet dog as he holds the door for the others to enter::
[19:51:29] <+Seth> "Get in, quickly..."
[19:51:42] <+Ryethon> "Come now Lord Seth, I swear to you, one of these days you will learn to enjoy nature."
[19:52:26] <+Seth> ::shoots Ryethon a look of humorous doubt::
[19:52:54] <.Bynw> *once the lords are within the tavern, they are beset upon by the townspeople seeking answers to their questions regarding what the royals are going to do after the storm in rebuilding the city and their homes and livelyhoods*
[19:53:10] <+Seth> "Yes and perhaps I'll be crowned the king of Adanac someday too, but I think it to be most unlikely"
[19:56:01] <+Seth> ::Wet, shaking, thirsty, and a bit frustrated by his inability to be at the docks when the ship pulls in, he tries hopelessly to shout over the crowd:: "Now, see here....I'm sure....everything in due time....I will see to it personally..."
[19:56:40] * +Ryethon looks to the bartender
[19:56:56] <+Ryethon> "A hot mulled wine for his lordship."
[19:57:16] <+Seth> ::His resolve snaps and with a shout his innate deryni shields flare, and dark red handfire erupts and engulfs his body:: "QUIET!"
[19:58:13] <.Bynw> *the tavern quiets down and all eyes are on Seth
[19:58:46] <+Ryethon> *coughs loudly" "Now would be good bartender."
[19:58:50] <+Seth> ::He raises his staff over his head and pounds it's steel shod end down on the floor as the handfire fades and dissapears::
[20:00:02] <+Seth> ::Takes a moment to eye the crowd and make sure he has their attention, then jumps onto a table so he can be heard and seen::
[20:03:03] <+Seth> ::still shaking like a wet dog from the cold and wet cloths on his body, he address the common room:: "We can do nothing for the moment. When the storm passes we will take stock of the damage and make repairs based on that report..."
[20:04:08] <+Jack> "Yes, folks, it's been a stressful day for everyone so far, but rest assured we'll be helping out funding repairs, and we'll make sure everyone is fed. I plan to be out in the town as much as possible assisting with that personally, too."
[20:04:22] <+Seth> "I assure you, as your lord and benefactor, that we will see to the people of Warp Wood's needs as best we can. We are not heartless, nor are we deaf to the cries of our people."
[20:05:57] <+Seth> "But for now. I would like nothing more than a Mulled wine and a place by the fire. I can do nothing more tonight." ::he shivers for emphasis and offers a strained smile::
[20:06:55] <.Bynw> *the townsfolks seem releaved that their lord is amoung them and make sure there is a place by the hearth for him
[20:07:20] <+Jack> "Seeing as we're all stressed out, I'll buy a round for everyone."

[20:09:28] * +Jack goes over to the barkeep and gives him some coinage. "This should more than cover it. Keep the rest."
[20:10:02] <+Seth> ::blows out a sigh and takes the mulled wine from Ryethon. Wasting no time as he takes a long drink.:: "My god, now that I can appreciate Master Ryethon."

[20:19:38] <+Seth> ::Takes a drink and chuckles at Jack's suggestion::

[20:19:51] <+Ryethon> "You think we can drag Lord Seth back out in that?"
[20:20:18] <+Seth> ::smiles:: "Yes, jack. I've no wish to be blown out to sea and drowned."
[20:20:27] <+Ryethon> "However I will go to meet him. If no one has an objection."
[20:20:29] <+Jack> "Well, the assassin could very well be down at the harbour right now. Some of us should go, at least."
[20:21:17] <+Seth> ::Wrinkles his brow at Ryethon:: "You do realize this is just the begining on the storm Master Ryethon?"
[20:21:29] <+Jack> "You want company, Master Ryethon, or would you rather work alone?"
[20:21:50] <+Seth> ::looks at both of them as if they had suddenly gone mad::
[20:22:26] <+Ryethon> "Lord Seth, no disrespect ment, but this is not my first storm, and certainly will not be my last, infact it is mild compared to some I have seen."
[20:23:02] <+Ryethon> "Jack, I would welcome company, though the travel may not be easy."
[20:23:27] <+Seth> "Gentlemen, that's no spring rain outside. It's a wind storm. Unless you have some way unknown to me to protect yourselves you will likely be thrown across Warp Wood like a rag doll."
[20:23:32] <.Bynw> *the rain and wind continue to pound outside and water comes in through the shudders
[20:23:55] <+Jack> "Oh, I have no doubt of that. But we'll face it one moment at a time."

[20:24:24] <+Seth> ::Raises his eyebrows and takes a drink of his mulled wine::
[20:24:39] <+Ryethon> "It is a matter of determination, I am simply more determined to get to the dock than the storm is to throw me around."

[20:26:07] <+Seth> ::blows out a breath in disbelief at the two:: "You've both got more brawn then brains."
[20:26:16] <+Ryethon> "Though just for safety..."
[20:26:30] <+Ryethon> "Does anyone have a rope?"
[20:27:00] <+Jack> "Barkeep, you got a rope in the back anywhere?"
[20:27:37] <.Bynw> "Aye" *the barkeep has a small piece of rope* "Dont go out into the storm"

[20:30:58] <+Jack> "Yeah, the ship could be it trouble, plus there's a passenger there that we need to meet."
[20:34:11] <+Seth> ::Takes another drink from his mulled wine, seeing that the two younger men are determined to rush off to what he sees as pure foolishness::

He then makes a soap bubble with the bucket of water and holds a bubble in the palm of his hand as he begins chanting in Latin::

[21:11:51] <+Jack> "Well, I can't feel the way. Somebody grab my hand, please."
[21:12:30] <+Seth> ::chuckles to Ryethon, grabs Jack's hand and follows Ryethon as he leads the way::
