[18:18] <.Bynw> *A 750 mile trek across open land and light woods.  The bread basket of the Paradisian Empire.

[18:18] <.Bynw> *By horse, without need of exchanging mounts, it's a 20 day ride.  Through farm, village and woods.  Over streams and rivers to reach the capital of the Empire.

[18:19] * +Thek rides in silence
[18:21] <.Bynw> *the ride to Paradise City follows the basic pattern of riding from dawn til dusk.  sleeping just off the roadside in the fields or woods and continuing on ward.  Astori does chat with any member of the party who has something to say.  Though Jaden, like Thek, keeps to himself.*
[18:23] * +Jenna keeps a watchful eye on the road and its surroundings
[18:23] <+Jenna> ((um, if Thek is gonna ride in silence we aren't going to have much of a game here...))
[18:24] <+Thek> ((Fine then, I'll start calling you names))

[18:25] <+Thek> ?? Astori is a half-elf, right ??
[18:25] <.Bynw> !! yes he is half-elf !!
[18:27] <+James> ((Hell, we can all ride in silence.  Then we just need the obligatory fight-on-the-way, and we'll be there . . .))
[18:27] <+Jenna> ((yeah you start calling me names and I start target practice in the saddle with my fancy new bow ))
[18:29] <.Bynw> *by the end of the 4th day of travel the adventures enter of the village of Sagesal, a small rural farming community*
[18:30] <.Bynw> ! it does have 1 inn !
[18:30] <+James> "Hmmm . . . looks like a chance to get a good meal."
[18:31] * +Jenna dismounts, ties up her horse and makes sure the others are well settled before entering the inn
[18:31] <+James> ((Your horse is into bondage?))
[18:32] <+Jenna> ((me blows raspberries at James))
[18:33] <+James> ::Ties his horse as well::
[18:33] <.Bynw> *the inn's common room is where the evening meal is being served and where gatherigns take place for the village*
[18:33] * +Thek ties his horse, and walks into the inn with Rathe
[18:34] * +Jenna looks about for a table for 6 (plus 2 animals)
[18:34] <+James> ::enters::
[18:34] <.Bynw> *jenna finds a suitable table while Astori checks on rooms for the night and caring to the horses*
[18:35] * +Jenna settles herself at the table and looks around briefly observing the clientele
[18:36] <+Thek> ?? whereabout is the room is the table ??
[18:36] <.Bynw> *the clientele is mostly hayseeds and are keeping their distance from the newcomers for now*
[18:36] <+James> ::joins Jenna at the table::
[18:37] <.Bynw> ! near the hearth ... and pretty much in view of everyone else !
[18:38] * +Thek tries to find the darkest corner of the table away from the most people possible
[18:39] <+James> ((If I happen to be in the dark corner, I'll move over . . .))
[18:40] <+Jenna> ??is there a wench or waitress or something or is it a feeding trough, buffet style??
[18:40] <.Bynw> !the common room isnt exactly full, finding a more private table for a smaller group is possible!!
[18:40] <.Bynw> !its a 2 choice meal -- what they are serving ... or what you brought in with you !
[18:41] <.Bynw> *the inn is serving thin noodles with a tomato paste and heavy herb sause ... no meat*
[18:41] <+Jenna> ((ROFL))
[18:41] * +Thek shakes his head
[18:41] <+Thek> c'mon Rathe, let's go find some food
[18:41] <+James> ::warmly accepts the inn's hospitality::
[18:42] <+Jenna> ((we are having angel hair pasta with garlic herb sauce right now for dinner, fyi ))
[18:42] * +Thek goes out hunting
[18:42] <+Thek> ((Wow, isn't Bynw creative))
[18:42] <+James> ((Good thing you're not having Chinese.  That would be odd in a country inn . . .))
[18:43] <+Jenna> ((LOL))
[18:43] * +Jenna eats hungrily after looking strangely at the food for a moment
[18:43] <.Bynw> *outside the inn, it is dusk.  the surrounding land is freshly plowed and planted fields for miles*
[18:44] <+James> "Thek is a horse of a different color, isn't he?"
[18:45] * +Jenna shakes her head "the back end of one, I think"
[18:45] <+James> ::chuckles::
[18:45] <.Bynw> *Astori comes to the table*  "They have 3 rooms available.  So it will be 2 each." *he tosses out keys on the table*
[18:46] <+James> "Thank you."
[18:47] <.Bynw> *jaden grabs one of the keys for himself and his sister*
[18:47] <+Thek> ((Whoa, kinky!))
[18:47] * +Jenna nods to Astori in thanks, since her mouth is full of food
[18:47] <+Jenna> ((you think she should sleep in the same room with one of you guys? ))
[18:49] <.Bynw> (( no she would want a girl ))
[18:50] <.Bynw> ? who is james gonna team up with ??
[18:50] <+James> ((Mistyck hasn't joined us yet.  Maybe Jaden will wear a dress and be kinky . . . ))
[18:51] <+James> ::takes one of the keys and waits to see how things sort out::
[18:51] <+James> "I'm not picky.  I'll room with anyone."
[18:51] <.Bynw> *Astori* "Fine ... you get to share with Kanaxe then"
[18:52] <.Bynw> "I'll wait to see if Thek returns"
[18:52] <+Thek> ((Sonnofa...))
[18:53] <.Bynw> ?? how long does everyone stay in the common room ??
[18:53] <+Jenna> ((me is full of pasta and falls over where she sits))
[18:54] <+James> ((Not long unless a conversation develops.))
[18:54] * +Jenna hangs out for a bit to see if she can eavesdrop on any local news
[18:55] <.Bynw> ! local news is only on weather, good to have everything in the ground and looks like it should be a good year for the crops!
[18:56] <+James> "I'm going to bed, Kanax.  I'll leave the door unlocked."
[18:57] <.Bynw> *by the time Thek returns from his outing, all but Astori has gone to bed*
[18:57] * +Jenna has an extra mug of ale then retires
[18:58] * +Thek walks back in and looks around
[18:58] <+Thek> ::Approaches Astori:: Where'd everyone else go?
[18:59] <.Bynw> *Astori* "To bed.  Looks like you and I are roomies for the night"
[19:01] <+Thek> ::Takes a deep breath to calm himself:: "Which room?"
[19:01] <.Bynw> "That one" *he points to its door just off the common room*
[19:02] <+Jenna> ((LOL, Thek has to sleep wit a half elf! hahahaha!))
[19:02] <+Thek> ((Yeah, that was why I was cursing ooc earlier))
[19:02] <+Thek> "c'mon Rathe" ::Heads towards the room::
[19:03] <.Bynw> *Astori picks up the key and heads there as well*
[19:03] <.Bynw> (( checking on laundry))
[19:05] * +Thek slides the bed to one side of the room, and sleeps on the otherside
[19:07] <.Bynw> *by dawn, Astori is up and seeing to the horses and other travelling provisions and getting ready to depart.*
[19:08] <+James> ::helps with the horses::
[19:08] * +Thek takes care of his own horsem and prepares to depart
[19:12] * +Jenna joins the others and prepares to depart as well
[19:13] <.Bynw> *the group assumes its regular riding order and continues eastward - riding for another 3 days.  this time, by mid-afteroon on the 3rd day it is drizzling constantly*
[19:15] * +Jenna pulls a cloak up over her head to ward off the damp
[19:16] * +Thek rides on throught the rain
[19:18] <.Bynw> *at the end of the day they reach another village... similar to Sagesal, a farming community once again but a little bigger but not by much ... only 1 inn .. and its in use by they time they arrive ... almost full ...

[19:18] <+Jenna> ((LOL))
[19:19] <.Bynw> *astori checks on rooms leaving the others to find a table, in the over crowded common room*
[19:21] * +Jenna leans over to James "well at least we are out of the rain"
[19:22] <+James> "Yes, and get another cooked meal, too."
[19:22] * +Jenna nods, searching the room for a table
[19:23] <+Jenna> ((afk a sec, and so is Bynw - brb))
[19:27] * +Thek haeds to the nearest empty table
[19:27] <.Bynw> ! there isnt a table the will hold everyone but thek finds a table that will hold 4 of us ... the rest could pull up chairs !
[19:28] * +Thek checks the menu for MEAT
[19:29] * Mistyck is now known as Olga
[19:30] <+James> ::pulls up a chair::
[19:31] <+Olga> ::hurries to a table, hands full with food and trips over an elf::
[19:31] <+Thek> ((Quick description of Olga?))
[19:32] <+Olga> ((human female))
[19:32] <+Olga> ((waitress))
[19:32] * +Jenna pulls up a chair and sits
[19:33] * +Thek shakes his head and mumbles something unintelligable under his breath
[19:34] <+Jenna> "What was that, Thek?"
[19:34] <+Olga> ::apologizes:: "I'm sorry sir, I tripped over your chair.  I will bring something to clean all that gravy and pork from your clothing"
[19:34] <+Thek> ((Oh, was I the elf?))
[19:35] <+Olga> ((this is a human town, not many elves around))
[19:35] * +Thek slides the pork off himself to the floor, where Rathe can get at it
[19:36] <+Olga> ((tis only gruel-like, not many chunks in it))
[19:37] <.Bynw> *Rathe licks up the pork bits and sauces happily hagging his tail*
[19:37] <+James> ::distracts Rufus to avoid conflict between the anmials::
[19:37] <.Bynw> *Astori comes to the table and pulls up a chair that was just vacated from another table*  "Well looks like we have 2 choices"
[19:37] <+Olga> ::goes off to get cloths to wipe up the food::
[19:38] * +Jenna looks up at Astori
[19:38] <+Thek> ((Okay, just a heads up, there's a giant electrical storm in my area right now, so I may lose power for a bit))
[19:38] <.Bynw> (( ok thanks for the info ))
[19:38] <+Jenna> ((enjoy, we told it to go visit you next ))
[19:38] <+Thek> ((They lost power at the Con yesterday too, it sucked))
[19:39] <.Bynw> "Due to the rain here ... the inn if full.  We can sleep in the common room or in the rain"
[19:39] <+James> ((Did chaos and bedlam ensue at the con?))
[19:39] <+Jenna> ((if the DDR machines went down, probably ))
[19:39] <+James> "I think the common room would be more comfortable than the rain."
[19:39] <+Jenna> "me too"
[19:41] * +Thek nods, and waits for someone to bring him a cloth or something
[19:41] <+Olga> ::returns with some cloths to wipe up the food::
[19:42] <+Olga> "I'm so sorry sir.  I didn't see you"
[19:43] * +Jenna pats Olga's arm "it's ok honey, it is mighty crowded in here" and smiles
[19:43] * +Thek just nods, and waits for her to finish cleaning him off
[19:44] * +Jenna smiles and nods at Thek also
[19:44] <+Thek> ((You didn't get burning pork on you legs))
[19:44] <+Olga> ::smiles at Jenna, "Thank you for understanding"
[19:44] <+Jenna> ((sounds kinky ))
[19:44] <+Olga> ::finishes cleaning up::
[19:45] <+Olga> ::takes all the soiled cloths back to the kitchen::
[19:45] * +Thek waits for some food and ale
[19:46] <.Bynw> *Astori* "Apparently there are few merchant caravans in town.  Arrived yesterday and took up all the rooms available"
[19:46] <+Jenna> "anyone you know in those?"
[19:46] <.Bynw> "My trade doesnt have much association with common merchants"
[19:47] <+James> "Might David be with a caravan?"
[19:48] <.Bynw> *Astori shurgs* "I dont know any David's"
[19:48] <+Jenna> "David who?"
[19:49] <+James> "David Seafort.  He was a friend of mine before he went into the family business."
[19:49] <+James> "I forgot that was before I met any of the rest of you."
[19:49] * +Jenna nods "ah"
[19:50] <+James> "Would be nice to run into him again."
[19:50] <+Jenna> "hey wait - if you know Seafort why didn't you get us a nice cushy job with them?"
[19:50] * +Jenna looks at James, half amused
[19:51] <+James> "I knew one son in the family.  I'm not a friend of the whole family . . ."
[19:52] * +Jenna nods again "oh okay"
[19:52] <.Bynw> "
[19:52] <+James> " . . . but if I'd run into David at Seafort-on-Lake, I would have suggested we travel with him, yes."
[19:53] <+Jenna> (me sees a little " float by and wonders what the hell it is))
[19:53] <+James> "Last I saw him was in Torr."
[19:53] <.Bynw> "I suggest we find a place to sleep in the common room so we are ready to leave at first light" *Astori says*
[19:53] <+Jenna> "sounds good to me - anything warm and dry"
[19:54] <+James> "Good idea"
[19:54] * +Jenna gets up and looks about, then goes to chat with the friendly waitress Olga
[19:54] <+Olga> ::is finishing serving the last of the meals::
[19:56] <.Bynw> ?? if anyone is doing anything in the night let me know other wise we will jump to leaving the next morning !!
[19:56] <+James> ((sleeping . . . ))
[19:56] * +Jenna is sleeping peacefully near the kitchen where it is warm
[19:59] <.Bynw> *the following morning, is must like the day before ... a light drizzle that comes and goes ... but is gone by late afternoon ... well into the ride*
[20:01] <.Bynw> *after 9 days of travel from leaving Seafort-on-lake, the adventures reach the village of Collins that evening.  A 2 inn town on a river.  The terrain has become more timber that farmland this last day.*
