[21:58] * +Jenna is chowing down on breakfast but stops briefly
[21:58] <+Jenna> "oh, one other thing - we need horses"
[21:58] <+Jenna> "we would need those anyway I think"
[21:58] * +Jenna shrugs and goes back to eating
[21:58] * +Thek looks up
[21:59] * +Thek shakes his head, and mumbles something incoherent under his breath
[22:00] * +Jenna ignores Thek
[22:00] <+James> ::smiles:: "Well, unless you want to ride Rathe . . . "
[22:01] * +Thek scowls at James
[22:02] <.Bynw> *breakfast is finished and this being a trading post, has a few livestock dealers about and the market is opening for such trades ..... horses range from 100 to 500gp plus tack *
[22:02] <+James> ::smiles again:: "Sorry.  Was a joke . . . "
[22:02] <.Bynw> ! everyone is capable of getting something !
[22:02] <+DarkSir> Finally done with races.
[22:02] <+James> ((* Bynw wants to get some!!))

[22:05] * +Jenna retrieves her new bow and practices with it a bit too

[22:07] <.Bynw> *Jenna's bow is finely made .... smooth ... a wood close to oak but not quite .... she has felt nothing like it before.*

[22:08] * +Jenna lets an arrow fly into the practice target, then smiles satisfied
[22:08] * +Thek just spends most of his time away from the group
[22:08] <+Kanax> "My brother was a bit ofa marksman.  Never won the tournament, but he came close."
[22:08] <+Jenna> ((whoops, sorry Thek! ))
[22:09] <+Jenna> "I hadn't even participated in one until the other day - too busy I guess"
[22:10] <+Kanax> "From what I understand, those bows are made from a very rare wood.  It only grows deep within the haunted forests of Einar."
[22:10] * +Jenna retrieves the arrow, then examines the bow further
[22:10] <.Bynw> *the 2 days goes by rabidly, the adventures do not see their future employer at anytime during the period while they are waiting.  but the streets are crowded with merchants coming and going.*

[22:12] * +Jenna makes sure to stock up on provisions also
[22:12] <+Kanax> :: nods sagely, looking over the bow  ::  "Local legend says that items made from the wood are posessed by spirits, but I don't believe it."
[22:12] <.Bynw> ?the morning you are to met the half-elf merchant back at the inn what do you do?
[22:12] <+James> ((Looking for Druids and getting in touch.))
[22:12] <.Bynw> (( not any druids near by that are making themselves known anyway ))
[22:12] <+James> ((That was earlier, not that morning))
[22:13] * +Thek checks his supplies and goes to the meeting place
[22:13] * +Jenna arrives at the meeting place as directed with horse and stuff
[22:13] <+Kanax> :: stays near the inn that morning ::
[22:13] <+James> ::arrives with Charlie::
[22:14] <+Jenna> ((stuff includes Jaden I guess ))
[22:14] <+Kanax> (( I knew it didn't seem quite so moody in here.. ))

[22:17] <.Bynw> *as the group of adventures gather outside the inn with horses and provisions, the half-elf merchant rides up on his horse*  "I see you have all gathered.  Is there anything else before we depart for Paradise City?"
[22:18] * +Jenna looks around "we appear ready"
[22:18] <+Kanax> "As ready as I get"
[22:18] <+James> "I'm ready."
[22:19] * +Thek just nods
[22:19] <.Bynw> "Excellent ... lets go then" *he turns his horse to the wide road making sure everyone is caught up with him*
[22:20] * +Jenna follows
[22:20] <+Kanax> :: rides along ::
[22:20] * +Thek takes up the rear
[22:21] <.Bynw> "I believe that introductions are in order.  As I only know Jenna.  I am Astori Xhyps."
[22:21] <+James> "I'm James."
[22:21] <+Kanax> "good to meet you.  Kanax Whiteaxe.
[22:21] <.Bynw> (Jaden is also taking up the rear ... while Astori is always riding somewhere in the middle)
[22:22] <+Kanax> :: takes point ,and assumes people will tell him when to change direction ::
[22:23] <+James> ((In the middle somewhere))
[22:23] * +Jenna rides behind Kanax
[22:23] * +Jenna keeps bow and arrow at the ready, but casually
[22:23] <.Bynw> "Kanax, just follow the road ... it goes directly to Paradise City ... eventually.  There are other towns and villiages along the way."  *after they have left the trading town and out of hear shot of any other travellers Astori speaks again*
[22:24] <.Bynw> "As you all can see.  I have no caravan.  My goods are small enough to carry on my horse and person.  Thus the need for men-at-arms while travelling."
[22:25] * +Jenna turns to Astori "will you tell us what you carry?"
[22:25] <+Kanax> :: nods, listening, and watching ::
[22:25] <.Bynw> "Shiral mainly" *he says watching for reactions*
[22:26] * +Jenna raises an eybrow
[22:26] <+Jenna> "I see"
[22:26] <+James> ::also recognizes the term::
[22:27] <+Thek> ?? Would I recognize that by any chance? ??
[22:27] <+James> ::and looks interestedly::
[22:27] <+Kanax> :: does not, or apparantly wasn't paying attention. ::
[22:27] <+Jenna> "for trade then?  or have these been purchased?"
[22:27] <+Jenna> "and you are delivering..."
[22:28] <+Thek> d20+3
[22:28] * +Palamedes rolls the dice for Thek (d20+3) and rolled 22.

[22:29] <.Bynw> "They have been purchased already.  Also, the pay is for your services is not by the day but by the mile."

[22:30] <.Bynw> "3 silver pieces per mile" *he smiles*
[22:31] <+Kanax> :: does the math in his head...  200 miles...  not bad.... ::

[22:31] <+Jenna> ((pays for the horses at any rate ))
[22:31] <+Kanax> (9 even better))
[22:31] <.Bynw> (( its more like 750 miles to paradise city ))
[22:31] * +Jenna smiles and turns back to watching ahead of the party and to the sides
[22:33] <.Bynw> (( at some parts the road will allow horse to ride side by side ... other times single file ... anytime that the road will allow 3 horses wide Astori will be in the middle of everyone ))

[22:33] <+Kanax> :: occasionally lets his hand come to rest on the hilt of his scimitar.

[22:37] <+Jenna> ((yeah just got a splinter under a fingernail or something, but it's bleeding so he's looking for something to keep from getting it on his computer))
