[22:10] <.Bynw> *Jaden is sitting by the fire staring down the pass - which grows narrower and steeper as it goes down, cut into the rock ... *

[22:13] <.Bynw> *the pass is cut into the stone of the mountain side, from this vantage point ... it appears the pass will eventually lead to a forest ... the top of the canopy of trees can be seen in the distance*

[22:16] * +Jenna rises from her bedroll and goes to sit by Jaden

[22:42] <.Bynw> *travel down the pass goes swiftly - by midday the walls of stone on either side are over ones head by at least 6' - and both the heat and humidity has risen dramatically, sweat is running down your face and the grit and grime is building on your skin*

[22:44] <+Jaden> ::keeps moving checking to make sure the others are keeping up::

[22:51] * +Jenna gets up then guides herself along the stone wall from this point forward

[22:51] <.Bynw> *although the day is warm and very humid ... the sky quickly darkens and opens up with life giving rain just after midday ... here the trail also begins to level off*
[22:52] * +Jenna rushes to get the waterskins and catch the rain
[22:52] <+James> :: gets any vessels we have off Charlie to catch rain::
[22:53] <+Cymber> ::fills up as many waterskins as possible::
[22:53] * +Jenna opens her mouth to catch the rain also as she works

[22:53] <+Chadmyr> :: keeps walking mumbling to himself :: 
[22:54] <.Bynw> *thunder rolls and lightning flashes overhead as the rain comes down in great buckets, drenching the ground and everything upon it*
[22:54] <+Jaden> ::keeps moving turning slightly:: "Should we wait out teh storm?"

[22:54] <+James> "Yeah, we need to catch water"
[22:55] <+Chadmyr> "Waiting in a narrow bed river like place, yes of cours "
[22:55] <+Jaden> ::stops and finds a spot standing in the rain::
[22:55] <.Bynw> *it takes about 20 minutes to fill all the waterskins available as the rain continues*
[22:55] <+James> ::once a skin fills up a bit, gives Charlie a drink::
[22:56] <+Chadmyr> :: keeps walking slowly making sure not to slip again ::

[23:02] <.Bynw> *the rain continues to come down, for the last 30 minutes as the group slowly makes its way down the stone cut passagway ...
[23:04] <.Bynw> *as quickly as the rain came the passageway itself suddenly opens into the lush green rainsoaked forest of trees, of the kind that Cymber, Chadmyr and James would recoginze from their trip to Torr the previous fall*

[23:05] * +Jenna walks more quickly now, thinking there might just be food here

[23:20] <+James> "As long as we're in the rainforest, we don't really need to stock vegetables.  They'll stay plentiful."

[23:21] <.Bynw> *the thunder clashes again and the rain continues to pour as Jaden moves out of sight of the others*

[23:21] <+Chadmyr> :: slowly moves silently towards the east, crouching and taking is axe in his hands.

[23:25] <.Bynw> *the sound of the storm masks most of the movement of the party through the jungle as they make their way through the trees and overgrowth ... there is a slight trail here but the jungle quickly reclaims it*

[23:26] <+Cymber> ::stays back a bit to be able to shoot::
[23:27] <.Bynw> *a short jaunt into the jungle revels the source ... a small villiage of crude huts of grass and leaves 
[23:28] <.Bynw> * here there are the lizardmen wielding swords and crossbows ... firing at men .... humans in light armor, and some on horseback, the humans are winning the fight*

[23:29] * +Jenna hangs back also
[23:29] <+Jaden> ::picks a spot and observes the fight, ready to help if the tides turns against teh village::

[23:30] <+James> ??whose village does it appear to be??
[23:31] <.Bynw> *the village is not a village of humans, but the lizardmen who are defending their homes *
[23:32] <+James> ??about how many human raiders??

[23:33] <.Bynw> ! the humans number about a dozen, and the lizards are droping fast ... they are down to about a dozen but many bodies lay about the ground*

[23:38] <.Bynw> *one human sits apon his horse overlooking the affair ... only taking up arms if directly attacked ... he bears a surcoat over his light armor - He looks up with a sharp look and searches the jungle beyond*

[23:39] <+Jaden> ::takes aim at teh human on the horse::

[23:39] * +Jenna whispers loudly "what are you doing?"

[23:40] <+Cymber> ::aims for his neck::
[23:41] <.Bynw> *the last of the lizards fall to the blades of the humans.  and they stop to catch their breaths begin to gather together near the man on the horse*
[23:41] <+Jaden> ::doesn't take his aim off the human and whispers:: "The lizards were defending tehir homes."
[23:42] <+Jenna> "so??"
[23:42] <+James> "Yes they were."
[23:42] <+Jenna> "they stole our rations and left us for dead too"
[23:42] <+Jaden> "we are still alive."

[23:44] <.Bynw> *suddently the jungle comes alive wiping vines and trees about grabing ahold of the humans that have attacked the village of lizards - just as Cymber's arrow flys and finds its mark in the throat of the man on the horse*

[23:48] <.Bynw> *one of the other humans, held fast and struggling to escape from the vines that have entangled them screams out* "Sir Terence!"
[23:48] <+Chadmyr> "Well what do we do cause now would be the good time to do something."
[23:48] <+Jaden> ::still aiming at Cymber:: "What the hell are you doing?"
[23:49] <+Cymber> ::he was a coward!::
[23:49] <+Jaden> "How do you know that?"
[23:49] <+Cymber> "besides, the forest agrees.."
[23:49] <+Cymber> "just look!"
[23:49] <+Jaden> "You did not know his intentions."
[23:50] <+Cymber> "now we will get free passage thru the forest"

[23:51] <+James> "I hope you're right, Cymber"
[23:51] <+Chadmyr> "Well the forest was my doing Cymber "
[23:51] <+Cymber> "well, Chad, then we are agreed, it was a good thing to attack those Deryni"

[23:54] <+James> "So do we move on or confront the humans?"

[23:55] <+Jenna> "that arrow probably gave us away, don't you think?"

[23:56] <+Chadmyr> "Well we could still cure the lord if need be. It might set things strait is we are to talk with them"

[23:56] <+James> "Like it or not, we're their enemies now."

[23:57] <.Bynw> *When jaden enters the clearing he is definatly being watched by the men entangled in the vines of the jungle*
