[20:05:51] * +Risira wakes up to the sunlight coming in through the window, gets out of Onora's bed, combs and re-plaits her hair, dresses, and walks down to the common room to see who else is awake.

[20:07:16] * +Master_Nym is up early as usual. Sips a hot tea and seems lost in thought, staring out of a window

[20:07:18] * +Taenor stretches his boots out to prop them on a table, sword by his side and satchel in front of him, relaxing from counting his supplies.

[20:07:26] * Knos has joined #teara-adan

[20:07:41] * +Taenor waves Risira over to the table as she comes down

[20:08:11] * +Nath is seated at a table eating his breakfast along with the other King's Men

[20:08:40] <~Bynw> *tara is awake, discussing subjects with Llanth

[20:08:52] * +Risira goes to the table where Nath and the rest of her party are eating breakfast and orders some breakfast herself.

[20:09:28] <Knos> "Good Morning Risira, You look refreshed!"

[20:09:49] * Knos looks slightly bleary eyed but otherwise alert.

[20:11:28] * +Daine comes walking down from upstairs, munching on an apple and humming a tune to himself. As usual he is dressing himself as he goes.

[20:12:01] <+Risira> "Good morning," Risira says as she tucks into some food.

[20:12:02] * +Taenor throws an apple core at Daine's head to get his attention instead of yelling

[20:12:12] * Rus queitly eats his breakfast

[20:13:19] * +Nath pauses and sips his cider "Good morning Risra, I trust you slept well?"

[20:13:46] <+Risira> "Yes, Captain, and you?"

[20:14:09] <+Daine> ::chuckles at Taenor, but for once he shows no temper::

[20:14:21] <+Nath> "As well as can be expected, I was up late."

[20:14:47] <+Daine> ::Looks to Risira, smiles, and gives a little nod::

[20:15:50] * +Risira smiles shyly back at Daine.

[20:16:02] <+Taenor> "You know, Heathen, if you contained your lustful nature and rage, you might be more tolerated by the general populous."

[20:16:50] * +Taenor says thus while giving a slight wink towards Risira.

[20:17:06] * +Risira catches Taenor's wink, blushes and turns back to her breakfast.

[20:17:12] <+Daine> ::Takes a bite of his apple and chews for a moment before answering:: "I seem to get along very well locally."

[20:17:40] <+Taenor> "Everyone loves an oddity for the first few days."

[20:17:43] * Knos frowns and goes back to eating his breakfast.

[20:19:17] * +Llanth says to Tara "So where does one aquire these spells from?"

[20:19:21] <+Daine> ::Takes a seat at one of the tables across from Taenor, and chuckles at Taenor's remark::

[20:20:57] <~Bynw> *Tara* "You would be supprised about where one can find them. But that is also why spellcasters ban together in guilds, schools and orders."

[20:21:08] <+Daine> "Pagan, you seem a bit....tense. Perhaps you could use a cold dip in the lake? Perhaps just your head."

[20:22:03] <+Nath> "Excuse me Tara, but will Master Nym be joining us?"

[20:22:41] <~Bynw> *Tara looks over at Nath* "I would hope so. He was up late so he might be slower to rise."

[20:23:08] <+Llanth> "I see, and how does one join a guild?

[20:23:13] <+Taenor> "No, unlike your people, Infidel, I enjoy warm baths instead of being frozen to death."

[20:23:38] * +Nath nods "That is true, I think he was up later than I as Knos was still up when I went to sleep."

[20:24:05] <+Master_Nym> ::Looks about from the window, his eyes focusing on Nath, he raises his voice to be heard and sips his tea:: "Sorry Captain. Just lost in thought this morning."

[20:24:39] <+Nath> "Ahh Master Nym, I did not see you there... I must be half asleep still."

[20:25:18] * +Taenor hands his shortsword to Daine. "Here. See if you can do anything with the blade. It's been annoying me lately."

[20:28:27] <+Daine> ::Eyes the sword:: "What do you want me to do with this?"

[20:28:57] <+Nath> "I will not interrupt your tea."

[20:29:03] <~Bynw> *Tara to Llanth* "Generally one is either initially trained by one or petitions to join."

[20:29:08] <+Taenor> "See if you can work any of your heathen skills on it to make it sharper than what I've been able to manage."

[20:29:54] <+Master_Nym> ::Stands, holding his tea and continuing to sip it:: "No, no captain. By all means. I do not sleep much. A benefit of my training. I've been up for sometime."

[20:30:49] <+Nath> "ahh you must teach me that trick... It would be invalauable in my profession."

[20:32:23] <+Llanth> "Ah, so in my case it would be the latter?"

[20:32:39] <+Master_Nym> ::Gives Nath a half smile:: "Sure Captain. I might be able to train you in ten years. If you have the aptitude."

[20:33:04] <~Bynw> *Tara nods* "There are small groups and there are large and powerful ones as well."

[20:33:44] <+Master_Nym> "Unfortunately I am one of only two people who I know that have mastered it. Ever."

[20:33:49] * +Nath laughs "Unfortunately I do not think my liege will allow me the luxury of ten years. He does keep me busy with Ranger duties."

[20:34:36] <+Llanth> "Do you belong to a guild?"

[20:34:51] * Knos snorts "At least you get to travel Captain. I usually am stationed at the Palace."

[20:36:25] <~Bynw> *Tara* "Not in any organized sense"

[20:36:47] <+Llanth> "Can you elaborate on that?"

[20:38:38] <~Bynw> *Tara* "My family are all skilled in the magical arts. Its more of a family tradition than any guild. We have contact with other families that are equally skilled and in a way form a guild that way but not in the sense of dues, memberships and the like that one would normally think of as a guild."

[20:39:02] <+Llanth> "Ah."

[20:39:04] <+Master_Nym> ::to Nath:: "Is there something you need from me this morn Captain? Or just wondering where I had gotten off to?""

[20:39:59] <~Bynw> *Ceadda enters the common room and joins the men at the Captain's table*

[20:40:09] <Rus> "I was just wondering if you and Regan had gotten anymore insight or knowledge that help us catch this murdering coward."

[20:40:16] <+Llanth> "So when one finds a spell, then what?"

[20:41:13] * Rus glances up frm his finished plate and says "I will tend to the horses milord."

[20:41:46] <+Nath> "Good morning Ceadda."

[20:42:14] <~Bynw> *Ceadda* "Good morning Captain." *to rus* "they are fine, i just came from the stables."

[20:42:57] <+Daine> ::his expression finally sours to his usual scowl when Ceadda enters, he stares daggers at the man, but says nothing::

[20:43:43] * Rus nods "I am suue but I will brush them down anyway..." and exits the tavern

[20:44:53] * +Risira finishes her breakfast and sips at a cup of tea.

[20:45:18] <+Master_Nym> ::To Nath:: "Some progress was made, yes. My student made a mistake last night though and is sleeping it off." ::his tone shows that he doesn't care to explain the mistake::

[20:46:12] * +Nath nods "I see."

[20:50:17] <~Bynw> *Ceadda* "So what is our next move Captain. We seem to have reached a dead end here."

[20:52:03] <+Nath> "Well this should be the next target... If my thoery is right."

[20:52:21] * +Nath 's tomne makes it clear he will not discuss it

[20:54:38] <+Daine> "I thought Druids could find Druids..."

[20:56:20] <~Bynw> "Anyone trained in tracking can find anyone else ... but it does depend on other factors." *Ceadda says* "Like the ability of those not wanting to be found, as in the case of our elusive prey"

[20:57:16] <+Nath> "Agreed... a very slippery customer."

[20:57:32] <+Daine> ::to no one in particular:: "I suppose."

[20:57:40] <+Risira> "Is Regan okay?  Does he need a Healer?"

[20:58:36] <+Taenor> "I don't think so, Risira. If he had need of one of us, Master Nym most likely would have asked one of the two of us to do something long before this morning."

[20:58:44] <+Master_Nym> ::To Risira:: "I think he will be okay. Nothing physically wrong with him I think."

[20:59:33] * +Risira nods. "Very well. I just believe that we need all the strength we can get in this mission, and the sooner he's back on his feet, the better."

[21:00:30] <+Taenor> "Agreed. But this will likely make him stronger rather than weaken him."

[21:00:41] <+Taenor> "Mentally at least."

[21:00:43] * +Risira nods again.

[21:02:10] * +Llanth wonders if Tara is lost in thought.

[21:02:47] <+Master_Nym> "Depends if he learns from it."

[21:03:19] <~Bynw> *Tara* "sorry. was easedropping on the others. you add it to your spellbook if you can understand it, if not you save it until you can"

[21:04:03] <+Llanth> "And what makes a spell book any different from any other book?"

[21:05:29] <~Bynw> "quality and generally the materials used in its construction which of course gives it a better quality." *she says* "other than that its just like any other book. but you can always enhance it with magic"

[21:06:05] <+Llanth> "And where would one aquire one?"

[21:06:39] <+Daine> ::Stares at Ceadda, his hand grips the short sword Taenor gave him::

[21:08:08] * Knos 's hand drifts near his pistol as he sees Daine's hands on the short sword

[21:08:14] <~Bynw> *Tara* "larger cities that have mages, magical guilds and the like would be the place to find one. i can get you one"

[21:09:52] <+Master_Nym> ::Looks to Llanth:: "What is on your mind student?"

[21:11:04] <+Llanth> "Magic Master_Nym."

[21:14:09] <+Master_Nym> "I see. You think you can study both magic and as an Anadari at the sametime?"

[21:16:16] * +Taenor quickly assesses the situation and takes his shortsword back from Daine. "I think you and I should find the local blacksmith, brother. It would do us good to get this thing sharpened and get some fresh air."

[21:16:59] <+Llanth> "Perhaps."

[21:21:38] <+Daine> ::Hands over the shortsword and seems to relax as he blinks his eyes and looks up at Taenor. The sword is hot to the touch, almost uncomfortably so::

[21:22:02] <+Daine> "yes brother. Suddenly it smells in here."

[21:22:16] <+Taenor> "Let us go then."

[21:23:36] * +Taenor slides the sword back into it's sheath and stands. "Care to come with us, Risira?"

[21:24:09] * +Risira blushes. "No, thank you. I'll stay here and finish my tea."

[21:24:16] <~Bynw> *Ceadda gives Daine a nod as he passes*

[21:25:27] <+Master_Nym> ::Nods at Llanth and takes a sip of his tea before he responds:: "Being an Anadari takes quite a bit of commitment, time, and energy. More so being in house Horizon. From what I understand so does practicing the arcane arts. Though I've heard of it being done. I'm curious as to why your thoughts travel that path?"

[21:25:52] * +Taenor nods and grins

[21:26:41] <+Daine> ::ignores Ceadda and follows Taenor::

[21:26:52] * +Taenor shoves Daine through the doors and wanders around town looking for a smith to sharpen his blade.

[21:29:31] <+Llanth> "I am not sure that there is any one reason that I can say."

[21:29:41] * +Risira checks her Healer's satchel, counting supplies and making notes of what she might need more of.

[21:29:43] <~Bynw> *Ceadda* "Are we going to warn the village that they may be next to fall victim to this madman's attack?"

[21:30:44] <+Risira> ::to Nath:: "Captain, may I borrow Knos and do a bit of shopping since we're in a town?  I'm low on a few supplies that we may need, and who knows when we'll be near civilisation again?"

[21:31:14] <+Master_Nym> ::To Llanth:: "That doesn't make you nervous? Your mind craving things for no reason you can fathom. Not knowing yourself and what modivates you?"

[21:31:33] * +Nath nods "of course Risira. He is not on duty and I am sure he would like that."

[21:31:57] * Rus smiles "It would be my pleasure Risira!"

[21:32:05] <+Risira> "Knos, if you don't mind, I need to find an herbalist and get some things for my Healer's bag."

[21:32:17] <Knos> ?me growls "I think she meant me."

[21:33:17] * Knos growls "I think she meant me."

[21:33:32] <+Master_Nym> ::To Nath, a frown on his face:: "Captain, you might want to see to your man, he's spreading rumors and causing needless panic." ::He eyes the villagers and waitstaff of the tavern::

[21:33:36] <Knos> "Certainly Risira!"

[21:33:55] <Knos> "Ceadda!"

[21:34:10] <+Llanth> "I said that there was no single reason. Were it simply the persuit of power, then I would be worried. Were it simply the means to an end, then I would be worried. Were it any single reason, then I would be worried."

[21:34:29] * +Risira finishes off the last sip of her tea, gets up, adjusts her satchel, and leaves the tavern with Knos, in search of Healing herbs and supplies.

[21:35:23] <+Llanth> "Any person who can point to a single reason for gaining power has no other use for the power once their goal is accomplished. This leads to misuse at best and corruption at worst."

[21:35:51] * +Nath gives Ceadda a stern look "We will do no such thing! You will keep tour mouth shut, all we need is a panic needlessly."

[21:37:52] <+Master_Nym> ::Nods to Llanth slowly:: "I'm just curious Llanth. You are my student, but that doesn't mean I learn nothing by teaching you. I meant only to point out that you should be mindful of your thoughts, nothing more."

[21:38:23] <~Bynw> *Ceadda nods at the Captain* "Of course Captain. My only concern in the well being of those under the King's protection." *he gets up from the table* "I shall see if there are any signs yet. I shall not be able to find them held up indoors."

[21:38:30] <~Bynw> *Ceadda exists the tavern*

[21:38:38] <+Master_Nym> "You seem to have put some thought into this, that is good."

[21:39:24] <+Llanth> "I have tried, yes."

[21:40:07] <+Master_Nym> ::Nods:: "The choice is always yours to make."

[21:41:27] <~Bynw> *morning moves into midday as the various members of the two parties replenish supplies. Regan still sleeps*

[21:42:19] * +Risira returns to the tavern smiling slightly, happy with her purchases.

[21:42:53] * Knos follows her in looking a little more alert and relaxed than earlier

[21:45:08] * +Risira sits at the same table from breakfast, orders another cup of tea, and organizes her satchel to incorporate the new supplies.

[21:45:46] <+Master_Nym> ::Meditates in the private room::

[21:46:37] <~Bynw> *Tara has spent the entire morning with Llanth in discussion of magical theory*

[21:47:11] <+Daine> ::enters into the Tavern, seeming a bit more relaxed::

[21:48:08] * +Nath has moved around the tavern talking to the locals and mediating any disputes that require a Rnager's authority.

[21:48:09] * +Taenor follows shortly after Daine

[21:48:45] * Knos orders a hearty lunchand awaits further developments

[21:48:47] <+Daine> ::Takes a seat next to Tara and Llanth::

[21:49:07] <+Llanth> "Hello Daine."

[21:49:19] <~Bynw> *Tara* "Well hello dancer"

[21:50:33] * +Risira having gotten her Healer's bag in order, orders a trencher of soup for lunch.

[21:51:02] <+Daine> ::nods to Llanth smiles to Tara, he lowers his voice:: "This is a nice village, nice people. But we are here for something. We seem to have hit a bit of a wall. Does anyone have any ideas?"

[21:51:21] <+Llanth> "We wait."

[21:53:03] <~Bynw> *Tara* "I have an idea. We could ward the village. Give us at least a slight advanced warning. It would take most of the night to do it too."

[21:53:37] <+Llanth> "That is a pretty big ward.."

[21:54:14] <+Nath> "Ward? What is that?"

[21:54:25] <+Daine> ::Looks to Tara:: "That sounds like a good idea. I enjoy the local flavor, but I don't like the idea of sitting around doing nothing."

[21:57:28] <~Bynw> *Tara looks up at Nath* "A magical means of alarm ... to warn us of danger."

[21:57:47] <+Daine> ::To Nath:: "A protective circle, of sorts."

[21:57:55] <+Nath> "ahh I think that is a sound plan Tara"

[21:58:18] <~Bynw> *Tara* "I'll wait until sunset though. Dont want to alarm the locals."

[21:58:51] * +Nath nods

[22:00:15] <~Bynw> *the relative afternoon quiet is broken by the sound of screaming coming from the few rooms above the tavern. in particular from the room which holds the sleeping Regan*

[22:01:00] * +Risira runs up the stairs after Daine, hand on her satchel.
