[20:25:40] * +T_Shaw looks down the barrel and spots a tree
[20:25:54] <+Paladin> "Now, put your finger on the trigger.. its not loaded .. dont be scared. Pull on the trigger, and dry fire it."

[20:27:08] <+Paladin> "Some time, Ill let you shoot it for real. At least you have a feel for it now."

[20:27:56] <+Paladin> "You have to get used to the kick.. when the shell goes off, the butt comes a bit hard on your shoulder. Its something you have to get used to."
[20:28:54] <+Paladin> "Convetionality is something to be considered.. but its never a bad thing to learn something new. I could try and teach you to shoot, if you like, Shaw."

[21:31:29] <.Bynw> *Alec* "The Amon House was founded by a Valimarian General and Anadari Master. He had turned his back on Valimar, his brother and forged his own path. For that he is held in mixed cureses and praises.
[21:33:25] <.Bynw> "He started his House and took many of his followers with him to the jungles of Solanda. Other's stayed behind in Valimar and started the Arda.
[21:35:12] <.Bynw> "In far off Solanda he trained his Anadari. Then one day he came across a Christian man ... a Deryni. But instead of bringing this man over to the Way and teaching him of the Akasa....
[21:36:24] <.Bynw> "He found himself letting this Deryni into his House as he was, letting this priest into the mysteries without taking Oaths and without giving himself to the Akasa.
[21:36:50] * +Paladin thumbs the hammers of his pistols as Alec talks..
[21:38:51] <.Bynw> "Then came the day that he announced the Amon's were changing, as their master himself had taken holy orders into the Church. And from that point onward the Amon were servants of the Church's god rather than to the Living Akasa. Then during the Anadari Wars ... they sided with those fighting all Anadari."
[21:39:13] <+James> "So the Amon were once Anadari and became Christian?"
[21:40:53] <.Bynw> *Alec* "Yes. And used their knowledge of the Order to kill their Anadari brothers. And it didnt matter which path the Anadari followed."
[21:41:30] * +Paladin turns his head from side to side to crack his neck.
[21:42:33] * Bredock listens intently
[21:42:34] <+James> "Well, I know they dislike Anadari . . and druids for that matter, though we and the Amon tend to stay out of each others' way."
[21:42:45] <+_Nym_> ::Nods in agreement with Alec:: "They did what they thought was right and payed a price in blood for those choices, Alec." 
[21:42:54] <+Paladin> "What the hell does this have to do with us?" :: Paladin says coldly, but evenly. ::
[21:44:33] <+_Nym_> ::Looks to Paladin, his face blank:: "Nothing with you. Much for the Anadari here." 
[21:45:41] <+_Nym_> "Of course if the Amon had it's way. You'd burn as well Paladin. All Deryni not taught by the church would." 
[21:46:02] * +Paladin makes a motion with his hand.. as if to appologize.
[21:46:34] <.Bynw> *Alec* "Actually it has much to do with him. He is from the Dawson region. Once a protectorate of Valimar, and one that the master in question was somewhat responsible for protecting."

[21:47:56] <+James> "The practical point is that the Amon are not to be trusted . . . unless you're a loyal Church member on their side."
[21:48:31] * +Paladin remains silent.
[21:48:45] <.Bynw> *Alec* "So are we taking watches for the night? Or talking throught it?"
[21:49:25] <+James> "That's actually why I greeted yur nickname with suspicion, Paladin.  The majority of paladins are Amon."
[21:49:50] <+Paladin> "Ill take a watch.."
