Mirina Vel'Drenek

A small, sturdy Deryni Healer from Reniska in Alandar (a thriving port city), Mirina Vel'Drenek is the great-niece of the healer Risira, from the same family of well-to-do spice merchants.  Mirina is a little taller than her ancestress, with nondescript blonde hair, gray eyes, fairish skin, and a compact muscularity.  Having trained to Heal, she also knows how to use a short sword and a dagger.  She rides well, and favors men's clothing when traveling, although she wears dresses in cities and towns.  She is not exactly short-tempered, but not someone to trifle with either.
