[19:32:32] <~Bynw> | the druid Chadwick. Mainly focusing on
[19:32:33] <~Bynw> | the Cathedral and Palace locations.
[19:32:34] <~Bynw> | While keeping an ever vigilant eye on
[19:32:36] <~Bynw> | the swamps incase more druids should
[19:32:37] <~Bynw> | attempt to retake the city.

[19:32:42] <~Bynw> | convene in council at the Seafort

[19:34:02] <+Seth> ::enters the offices with a yawn. It seems even at mid-day he has only recently awoken::
[19:34:06] <~Bynw> *within the seafort office, Bishop Pele has setup a table for the lords with high back chairs for them and himself. the Queen has a larger chair at the head of the table
[19:35:17] * +Charissa is sitting there already, waiting for everyone to come in
[19:36:05] * +Jack waunders in munching on a donut.
[19:36:25] <~Bynw> *Bishop Pele sits next to the queen discussing a few details as the other lords gather* "There are somethings that need only be said once which is why they will wait for this council to convene."
[19:37:27] * +Coch arrives and takes a chair
[19:37:31] <+Seth> ::Stops for a moment and eyes Pele's chair, then takes a chair opposite the queen. He avoids eye contact with anyone while he sips at his mornings tea::

[19:38:57] <+Coch> "It is good to see you well your Highness" ::looking at the Queen::
[19:39:18] <+Charissa> "thank you Coch.  As you can all see, I am fine."
[19:39:46] <~Bynw> *the bishop rises and bows to the queen* "I may begin?"
[19:40:11] <+Jack> *holds out a sack* "anyone want a donut?"
[19:40:14] <+Charissa> ::nods to him:: "go ahead."
[19:40:40] <+Seth> ::Shakes his head to Jack, indicating a no::
[19:40:47] <+Charissa> "no thanks Jack."
[19:41:01] * +Jack takes a seat.
[19:41:47] <~Bynw> *Bishop Pele bows to the queen* "Thank you your Majesty." *he turns to the others* "I hope you have all slept well. But know you must learn what happened in your absence from the city for the past few weeks."

[19:45:33] <~Bynw> "After you departed for Egora. Chadwick kept his promise to protect the city from being invaded. But he ment from you as well. He immediently turned on the Church, the tavern, the palace and the Seaforts as agents of evil."
[19:48:48] <~Bynw> "We organized a resitance to Chadwick's rule and eventually decieded that Bishop Nidar be the one to leave the city to get help and bring it back."
[19:50:15] <~Bynw> "He did not bring back a large enough force. In the end I was the one that had to flee to bring back a sizable force of arms to deal with the heathen. But not before I witnesses the murder of Bishop Nidar and what that dog Chadwick did to him afterwards"
[19:50:22] <~Bynw> *the priest sits down*
[19:50:27] * +Seth sips his tea and listens, but is studying Pels's body language even more intently
[19:51:56] <~Bynw> *in near tears the bishop continues* "After they murdered him, they butchered him and supped on his flesh like animals. They will surely rot in hell for their deads against a prince of the church"
[19:52:43] <+Charissa> ::comforts the Bishop:: "Aye, Your Grace."
[19:53:56] <~Bynw> "They burned the Church, the Palace, the tavern to the ground. They killed Master Seafort and drug his body around the city. They did the same to any lay brother or priest they could find"
[19:54:11] <+Seth> ::Sips his tea, but fails to hide a small chortle in opposition to Father Pele's words. His face returns to a stoic expression in a flash::
[19:55:11] <+Seth> ::His lips do purse at the mention of Master Seafort's demise::
[19:55:15] <~Bynw> "They sank the ships in the harbor to make passage difficult or I and my men would have been hear sooner"
[19:56:12] <~Bynw> "That is the extent of that transpired in your absence My Lords. Evil as evil gets."
[19:57:14] <+Seth> ::Sets his cup down gently and clears his throat:: "Has anyone seen the Captain of the Seafort's men?"
[19:57:32] <+Charissa> "aye.  I want it to be known that any druid found or any man found helping a druid should be brought to us immediately to be tried and executed."
[19:59:37] <+Seth> ::Grimaces at the queen's words::
[19:59:40] <~Bynw> *Bishop Pele looks at the Queen and then the others* "I still have grave news. My men captured 3 druids last night. Under inteogation they confessed their sins before us. Although 2 of them were very defiant against the Holy Church"
[20:01:35] <~Bynw> "They confessed their devotion to their lord Chadwick as a prophet and messiah of the wilderness. They claimed and firmly believed that he would rise from the dead and they would too for serving faithfully."
[20:02:16] <+Charissa> "hopefully that was just a useless threat and not something more sinister."
[20:02:47] <~Bynw> "The 3rd druid, recanted his sins and begged forgivenss and was welcomed back into the Church. But he too stated Chadwick would rise from the dead as he had seen this happen before."
[20:03:09] <+Seth> ::Sighs and shakes his head slightly:: "Torture and death sentences will only make it harder to find the few druids that are left. You've made a martyr of Chadwick."
[20:03:57] <+Charissa> "where is Chadwick's body at right now?"
[20:05:28] <+Seth> ::Sips his tea to draw out the dramatic silence a bit:: "The pigs are well fed. I assure you, there is nothing of Chadwick left to come back. Unless it is as a shade."
[20:05:56] <+Charissa> "maybe you were too hasty Seth.  I should have liked to see him burn."
[20:06:06] <+Charissa> "you took liberties you shouldn't have Seth."
[20:06:33] <~Bynw> *Bishop Pele* "No burning for Chadwick or any of the druids. They will consider that an honorable burial practice"
[20:07:02] <+Charissa> "we can't let them be buried in case they can come back."
[20:07:27] <+Seth> ::Again sips his tea and ignores Charissa's comment, making a spectical of avoiding eye contact with her::
[20:10:06] <~Bynw> "Begging your Majesty's pardon" *the bishop interjects* "But I must, in this case, agree with Lord Seth's decision. The heathens have no rights to a decent Christian burial nor do they have any rights to a honorable pagan funeral pyre. Feeding Chadwick's body to the pigs was justice. And approved by the Church."
[20:10:45] <+Charissa> "alright. I guess you are right."
[20:13:26] <~Bynw> "This was all I had to bring to you. My men are working on restoring the cathedral and palace and still working on the docks so they can be used again. We are also seeing to the safety of the city with regular patrols in case the druids should mount a second attack."
[20:16:35] <+Coch> "My Queen can I ask where you've been?  After the battle I looked but could not find you"
[20:17:39] <+Charissa> "I was in a building until His Grace's men took me to his ship."
[20:18:40] <+Coch> "Ah, the charitable Pele doing the Church's work"
[20:22:41] <+Coch> "Bishop Pele if your done with you account of Chadwick, the Lord's would like to speak in private with the Queen"
[20:23:25] <~Bynw> *he rises and bows to the Queen* "With your leave your majesty"
[20:23:41] <+Charissa> "Thank you Your Grace.

[20:23:58] <~Bynw> *the bishop departs from the building*
[20:24:32] <+Seth> ::Looks to Coch:: "Something on your mind, Lord Coch?"
[20:25:00] * +Coch rises and goes to Seth's side and whispers in his ear "Something is wrong with the Queen, Pele is using her like a puppet"
[20:26:08] <+Coch> ::turns and looks at Jack "I don't intend to be rude but this problem is for Seth"
[20:26:36] <+Jack> "Sure, no problem" *gets up and leaves*
[20:26:39] <+Seth> ::Looks to Coch and draws away from him as if shocked. He holds up his hand to indicate Coch should wait and be silent for a moment::
[20:26:49] <+Charissa> "um, excuse me.  I'm not going to stay here alone with you acting weird.  Jack!  Wait!"
[20:27:12] * +Jack pauses and looks back
[20:27:16] <+Seth> ::His hands flow in a rhythmic fashion as he mutters something under his breath::

[20:28:17] <+Coch> "My Queen and Jack please wait"
[20:28:20] <+Seth> ::A feeling of serene peace and protection can be felt by everyone in the room and he finishes::
[20:28:51] * +Jack comes back slowly
[20:29:53] * +Coch moves towards the Queen and attempts to guide her back to her seat
[20:30:07] <+Charissa> "stay away from me Coch!  You're acting very strange!"
[20:30:07] <+Coch> "My Queen you are safe with us"
[20:30:21] <+Charissa> "I am not so sure anymore!  Maybe the druids got to you!"
[20:30:39] <+Seth> ::His eyebrows crinkle at this new turn of events, he waits and watches for the outcome::
[20:31:02] <+Coch> "My Queen I was only cut by the druids, nothing more"
[20:31:15] <+Charissa> "whatever you want to say you can say from where you are.  DO NOT COME NEAR ME OR TOUCH ME!"
[20:31:58] <+Coch> "As you wish but please sit, we have much to discuss"
[20:31:59] <+Seth> ::Clears his throat:: "Excuse me my queen, but please, be seated. Lord Coch, please be seated as well. Let's not start bickering now. This is our moment of triumph."
[20:32:18] * +Coch sit back down in his seat
[20:32:20] <+Charissa> "No.  Both of you stay away from me.  You can talk but don't touch me!"
[20:34:04] <+Seth> ::A flash of uncertainty crosses his face for a moment and then is gone like a cool wind:: "Your majesty. I'm siting across the table from you. It would be quite a feat indeed for me to touch you. Please. No one intends to harm you."
[20:34:21] <+Charissa> "Then quit trying to get me to do things!"
[20:34:56] <+Charissa> "I will stand here.  If you want to say something, say it. Otherwise disband your ward"
[20:34:59] * +Jack stares into his sack of donuts for a minute. "Did they put something in these donuts?"
[20:35:23] <+Charissa> "Jack your donuts are fine.  It's Coch who's acting weird."
[20:35:50] <+Charissa> "remember, he didn't want you here.  Why?"
[20:35:54] <+Coch> "I am the same as always my Queen"
[20:36:13] <+Charissa> "no you're not.  If you were, you wouldn't have wanted Jack out of here."
[20:36:18] <+Charissa> "Why do you want Jack out of here?"
[20:36:26] <+Charissa> "what do you plan?  To murder me?"
[20:36:56] <+Coch> "I didn't want Jack to leave, I was trying not to be rude when talking to Seth"
[20:37:07] <+Charissa> "You told him to leave."
[20:37:11] <+Seth> ::Sips his tea and watches Charissa like a hawk, but makes no move and says nothing for the moment::
[20:38:29] <+Seth> ::shrugs:: "I will release the ward if it makes you so ill at ease."
[20:38:36] <+Charissa> "thank you Seth."
[20:38:37] <+Coch> "Do you have any plans for the rebuilding of the town or is Pele making his own decisions on the matter?"
[20:39:01] <+Charissa> "I do believe the town needs to be rebuilt.  I don't want to reign over ruins."
[20:39:14] <+Seth> ::He waves his hands again in a rhythmic motion and mutters to himself. His eyes glow for a moment::

[20:41:35] <+Charissa> "To get the town rebuilt as soon as it can be.  The people need to be taken care of."
[20:42:40] <+Coch> "and what of Pele and the Church?"
[20:42:47] <+Jack> "I'll go along with that.  In fact, I'll help."
[20:43:48] <+Charissa> "what of him?  He was elected Bishop.  We can't do anything about that.  He has the troops to help keep the peace until we can rebuild our army.  He's not our enemy, Coch, even though you think so.  Remember, you were suspicious of Bishop Nidar too at first for no good reason."
[20:44:01] <+Seth> "Your majesty. I don't want to be rude, but you are not the ruler of Warp Wood any longer. Nor are we the lords of it." ::he says with a smile::
[20:44:57] <+Charissa> "The Church and Pele aren't going to take over Warp Wood.  I don't buy that for a second.  You are getting too paranoid."
[20:45:38] <+Charissa> "If he wanted to take over Warp Wood, he didn't have to come rescue any of us.  He could've let us all just die out there."
[20:46:14] <+Seth> ::He grins and stands:: "No, no. I mean that we have done it. We have taken Egora. We have expanded our kingdom. We shouldn't think of it as two seperate states anymore."
[20:46:49] <+Charissa> "ok I don't understand?  You want to give up Warp Wood to Pele?"
[20:47:15] <+Seth> "That hole in the ground doesn't have to be our capital. Nor our Palace. We have a capital and a palace in Egora. Why waste funds?"
[20:47:38] <+Charissa> "because the people of Warp Wood deserve better than what you are willing to give them."
[20:47:38] <+Seth> "Why waste funds on any of this?"
[20:48:06] <+Charissa> "Because I am not going to let the people of Warp Wood suffer just because you got your selfish little wish."
[20:48:17] <+Seth> ::nods:: "Have you forgotten our dream? The trade road will make these people rich!"
[20:48:19] <+Coch> "No, it is the peoples land and we are its guardians.  Seth is right, we should move our capital to Egora"
[20:48:42] <+Seth> "We've taken Egora, we can extend the road to the river and increase our profits ten fold!"
[20:49:05] <+Charissa> "If you don't have anything else to say, I'll see you all later.  I'm going to go see the rebuilding of this town.  I want all parts of the kingdom livable for all the people of the kingdom."
[20:49:11] * +Charissa turns and walks to the door
[20:49:35] <+Seth> "Your Majesty. Build a barracks where the Palace stood. It will be cheap and keep the troops fit."
[20:49:58] <+Seth> "And the people happy and safe. They don't need a palace. They can't use it."
[20:50:03] <+Charissa> "Fine.  I just want the town rebuilt.  But I also want a place for us to stay at when I come to visit here."
[20:50:25] * +Charissa walks out the door
[20:50:28] <+Coch> "Visit?  Where will you be residing?"
[20:50:33] <+Seth> "A small keep in the center of the barracks."
[20:51:02] * +Charissa heads towards where Pele is overseeing things being rebuilt.
[20:51:14] <+Jack> "We do want to fix damage to the docks and individual homes though, right?"
[20:52:25] <+Seth> ::Shrugs and takes a seat and looks to Jack:: "Not for us to say is it Jack? The Queen will be handling everything and managing the money, and making our choices for us. No need of our counsel."
[20:52:59] * +Charissa goes to check with Pele how the reconstruction of the people's houses and tavern are coming along.
[20:53:07] <+Coch> "Only our blood"
[20:53:29] <+Seth> ::Toasts Coch with his tea mug and nods::
[20:54:10] <~Bynw> *Pele himself has returned to his ship where the plans are being drawn up. First the Cathedral as the house of God is the most important of all places. Then the homes of others.
[20:54:42] <+Charissa> ::talks to whoever Pele has left in charge to make sure people's homes will be rebuilt as soon as possible."
[20:54:44] <+Charissa> ::
[20:54:59] <+Seth> "And when the coin is spent, these people will be back to living in a toliet on the end of civilization. Living like rodents. Just as we found them."
[20:55:51] <+Coch> "Jack may I ask where you were after the fighting?"
[20:56:24] <+Seth> "All the blood spilt, all the men dead, and all that work...for nothing. The best they can hope for is that the queen will restore things to what they where before we came and drove half the healthy men of Warp Wood into death's gate."
[20:56:42] <+Jack> "I was sleeping off the fatigue of giving the queen energy in some house I hid from the bugs in."
[20:57:07] <+Coch> "Thank you Jack"
[21:03:24] * +Charissa heads back to the Seafort offices.
[21:04:04] * +Charissa walks into the door and checks to see if the others are still there
[21:04:09] <+Coch> "Shall we take a look around and let the people know we are still alive Lords Jack and Seth?"
[21:04:28] * +Coch stands when the Queen opens the door
[21:04:32] <+Seth> ::Gets up, opens a window, sighs and dumps the rest of his tea out the window:: "I need a drink. Do we have anywhere that a man can relax and enjoy a little mulled wine?"
[21:04:39] <+Coch> "Are you in need of us?"
[21:04:55] <+Jack> "I think that would be a great idea, Lord Coch."
[21:05:02] <+Charissa> "Not really.  I just came back to let you know the docks are being rebuilt first."
[21:05:40] <+Coch> "Thank you.  We were going to take a walk about the town and check on things"
[21:05:47] <+Charissa> "Now, have you decided I'm not an enemy Coch?"
[21:05:55] <+Seth> "You've talked to Bishop Pele about priorities then and how his church can wait, your majesty?"
[21:06:19] <+Charissa> "I talked to one of his men.  They will build the docks first."
[21:06:45] <+Coch> "My Queen these a troubled times.  Forgive me but I needed to make sure that you were yourself"
[21:07:03] <+Charissa> "I am fine Coch.  Nothing happened to me."
[21:07:48] <+Coch> "I see that now but you understand I had to be sure"
[21:08:18] <+Charissa> "No, actually I don't.  I didn't like the way I was treated."
[21:08:53] <+Seth> "Good, I don't suppose anyone knows where these seafort's keep their wine do they?" ::begins looking for a hidden stash of wine in the cuboards, cabinets, and desks::
[21:09:04] <+Coch> "Forgive my Queen"
[21:09:26] <~Bynw> *the place has already been ... looted and ransacked*
[21:09:27] <+Charissa> "forget about it Coch.  Let's just go see to the people and assure them they will be fine also."
[21:09:55] * +Coch moves towards the door
[21:10:53] <+Seth> ::Mutters to himself:: "Power to bend the universe to my will and put kings on their knee's and I can't find a bloody bottle of wine..." ::continues on in simular fashion::
[21:11:22] <+Coch> "Do we know the status of the villages along the coast?"
[21:11:48] <+Charissa> "I don't but I'd guess they are in ruins too."
[21:12:19] <+Jack> "We could ride out and see.  We probably should."
[21:12:25] <+Charissa> "aye."
[21:13:03] <+Seth> ::muttering:: "...damn druids, you know their crazy, they destroyed the wine! For gods sake, down right uncivilized..."
[21:13:21] <+Coch> "I'd like to visit my advisor's village with supplies and a healer or two"
[21:13:34] <+Charissa> "that's fine."
[21:14:26] * +Coch bows to the Queen and goes to round up supplies and the healers
[21:14:27] <+Seth> ::waves his hands and the previous feeling of protection everyone in the room had felt dissolves::
[21:14:59] <+Seth> ::Raises his voice as Coch Leaves:: "And for gods sake man, find some wine!"
[21:15:20] <+Seth> "I've a powerful thirst."
[21:15:36] <+Coch> "Will do Seth"
[21:15:43] <+Charissa> "Seth, why don't you go see if you can help rebuild the tavern?"
[21:16:27] <+Seth> ::Brightens up a bit at Charissa's words:: "Now that is the first thing I think we have agreed on this morn your majesty."
[21:16:53] <+Seth> ::Moves to the door on his way to the ruins of the Tavern::
[21:18:01] <~Bynw> *the tavern, like the palace and cathedral, has been raised and burned to the ground.
[21:19:19] <+Charissa> "Seth, if you wouldn't act like the whole world is against you, we'd agree more often." ::charissa grins::
[21:22:37] <+Seth> ::Bows at the waist, low and long:: "And if you weren't as stubborn as a mule, and headstrong like a ram. I'd not disagree so strongly, but then again. If you weren't you wouldn't have lasted as our queen. Your majesty." ::he says with a grin as he departs::
[21:23:26] <+Seth> ::over his shoulder:: "Your one of a kind your majesty, don't change."
[21:23:54] <+Charissa> ::laughs and shakes her head::
[21:23:56] * +Coch gathers townsfolk and tells them to get food, clothing, and blankets loaded in a cart or wagon and be ready to depart in an hour, then leaves to find the healers
[21:24:30] <~Bynw> *there are several healers among the bishops men*
[21:26:20] <+Seth> ::Swaggers like a fop to the ruins of the tavern, only stopping to sneer at any of the bishops men as he passes them::
[21:26:44] <~Bynw> *the bishops
[21:27:00] * +Coch approaches the healers and says "I need two of you to accompany me to a nearby village.  Get ready to travel"
[21:27:30] <~Bynw> men are not even looking at the tavern. they are busy helping people get back on their feet and fixing what they can with what is available*
[21:27:43] <~Bynw> *the men that coch recruits do so
[21:29:22] <~Bynw> "it's shame what those bastards did to this place" *a voice says from behind seth*
[21:32:03] <+Seth> ::whirls to see who is behind him. He is starting to show his bad temper as sobriety is setting in::
[21:32:10] <+Seth> "Who?..."
[21:32:14] * Elf-lurk has quit IRC (Quit: Elf-lurk)
[21:33:33] <~Bynw> *the man is drops the hood of his cloak as Seth turns around ... it is Sprax
[21:34:45] <+Seth> ::Smiles at Sprax:: "Your as perceptive as you are resourceful Marshal. I take it you've been waiting in the one place you knew I'd show?"
[21:35:33] <~Bynw> "No I just got here actually. We need to get back to Egora. There has been a development in your Lordships absence"
[21:35:58] <+Seth> "Quite the trick being here so quickly Marshal Sprax. You picking up something from me?" ::he looks suspiciously at the man::
[21:36:53] <+Seth> ::Waves his arms is dismissal:: "Not important then. You've always been a man of resources."
[21:37:12] <+Seth> "How would you have us travel Marshal?"
[21:37:23] <~Bynw> "I didnt linger at my house ... it's been ransacked as well. But they didn't find my Portal." *Sprax says with a grin* "We need to get though."
[21:39:29] <+Seth> ::nods in sudden seriousness, knowing Sprax is a man to be heeded:: "I'll gather the others. Send word to your, compatriots here in Warp Wood. Bishop Pele is to watched. I want to know every move that man makes and I want to know what moves he intends to make. Stop at nothing."
[21:39:32] <~Bynw> *Sprax turns and begins to walk away from the tavern ruins towards the docks and the general direction of his residence*
[21:42:35] <+Seth> ::His arms wave in rhythmic motions again, almost hypnotic. They leave tracers of light this time. His muttering seems oddly rhythmic too::

[21:43:18] <~Bynw> *as we walks* "Chadwicks treason is far more than we even imagined. he had vision ..." *he says that last bit with admiration*
[21:44:47] <+Seth> ::his face grows fuzzy for a moment as if it is out of focus, and then the effect is gone. Leaving those in the immediate area with a feeling of anxiety::

[21:48:09] * +Coch give some additional directions to those working with him to leave in one hour even if he isn't present and draws a quick map for the men and tells them to ask for Miles or his family when they arrive
