Half-Elf
A Half-Elf is of mixed parentage. Generally Human and Elf, although there are Half-Elves from other unions with Elves. Elves cannot successfully breed with Pure Strain Humans and the offspring of any Elf/Deryni crossing will result in either a Deryni or Half-Elf. All Half-Elves can see well in the dark, far better than that of standard Humans.
A Half-Elf has 22D for Attributes and Skills.

Complications – Social Stigma to some Humans and most Elves.

Deryni
The Deryni are a strain of Humans with hereditary psychic abilities.

Complications – None

Arrin
The Arrin people, despite any similarities, are not native to the World of Teara Adan. They are the descendants of the crew of a crashed spacecraft from a distant star system. They tend to have a stronger resistance to disease and toxins. And have a longer lifespan from standard Humans to which they resemble. The Arrin knows his abilities are better than those around him, giving him a bit of arrogant superiority.
An Arrin has 23D for Attributes and Skills.

Elf
The Elves are an ancient people. One of the first of the new races of mankind to emerge from the Black Years. They have superior night vision allowing them to see in all but the darkest of places. Elves seem to be naturally adept with magic and many of them have become powerful wizards. Elves are tall and lean with a haunting beauty about them.
Elves have 22D for Attributes and Skills.

Dwarf
Short and stocky this race of mankind is nearly as old as the Elves. They emerged as a separate race around the same millennium of the Black Years. This race is naturally at home underground. They can see just as well and better in the darkness than their Elvin cousins. They are a hearty race of miners and craftsman. Loyal to family and clan above all things.
A Dwarf has 22D for Attributes and Skills.

Complications – Loyalty to Clan, Braggart

Pure Strain Humans
The ultimate in Human perfection. A Pure Strain Human has a genetic code that is permanently locked and unalterable. They have immunities and resistances to toxins, disease, and radiation. But none of them are able to have any form of arcane power.
A Pure Strain Human has 25D for Attributes and Skills.

Wit – 1D+2/5D
Charm – 1D+2/5D
Perks – Immunity to Disease, Resistance to Toxins and Radiation
Complications – Unable to acquire Perks of Power, Sorcery or any other paranormal abilities.

Haldren
These reptilian humaniods are the offspring of Dragons who have mated with humankind. Haldren are larger and stronger then their human parent and many follow the magical paths granted by their Dragon blood. Most have some kind of Dragon characteristic.
A Haldren has 25D for Attributes and Skills.

Sckoraali
These humanoids are an amphibious reptilian race from tropical and near tropical lands. Larger and stronger than Humans and they are at home equally on dry land or in water.
